I volunteer at a maker space where I teach people about laser cutting, and I've made a bunch of things for my crafting: organizers, ink holders (with non-slip drawer mats stuck at the bottom), stencils (for backgrounds or that fit my bought stamps so I can color them in faster), stamps (you can buy laser-safe stamping rubber online) with custom-made designs or text or stamps that fit in my existing cutting dies (such as a bunch of sentiments that matches my sentiment strip dies), symmetrical stencil shapes to use with my stamping tool to make mandalas in five, six, seven ... steps instead of the 4 or 8 you get with other techniques ...

The price of the Glowforge Aura is insane to be marketed for the average crafter. I own a Glowforge Pro and was thinking about buying the Aura for my nieces. $1,199 plus tax/shipping would bring this to over $2k. (And even using people's discount codes really doesn't save you that much to justify buying it for hobby crafters). You might as well just spend the extra and get the Glowforge Basic. When I originally bought my Glowforge Pro, I bought their air filter, but I had so many issues. I wound up just finding a way to vent it outside a sliding glass door and haven't had issues since.

Wow, congrats!! HSN also has it, but not certain they did when you filmed this. The opening waiting montage was hilarious!
Love your EP holder. If your could engrave things on the circles, they'd make great cupcake toppers, or the names of what dishes are what on a buffet if you glue them in a piece of dowel. But I don't know if you could engrave on such a small piece. If not glue a circle of chalkboard material on them to write the names. Or vinyl to make tags for organizing bins

  • @earlinekeepingitreal

Glue them all together in a circle format stain then color them and make something that you can put your coffee or your cup on to drink tea or whatever I don't no if this company mentions it but I would think you would need some safety glasses, brushes or big brushes i.e painting to brush off and residue left behind just a thought oh and if you love jewelry make earring and a matching bracelet have fun

Engrave some for embellishments or keyfobs, for purse dangles. Too heavy for cards I'm guessing. Gift tags, markers for games. Create games for folks with limited finger dexterity. Cool item, but out if my $$$$ range. Have fun and please show the results.

Create piece of kit , it’s a lot of money especially when I have used my SnC twice in the 3 years that I have had it and that was only to cut out a few stamped images . Don’t think I would ever get my head around this and couldn’t afford it anyway lol . Enjoy as i say looks great

The white Acrylic doesn't even work on my Glowforge. There is also a monthly fee to use there website. The laser is loud if you have to print something that takes time and you can also smell it. I have to put the fan or open the window.
