Cori you are an amazing subject matter expert. Just WOW, very articulate and helped me understand the true differerences between these machines for a newbie. THANK YOU.
Cori, as always thank you for this video all the info and comparison, I’m planing on getting an Aura as my first laser cuter, and I feel more confident now to create my crafts and specially earrings, because of this video. 🎉
Thank you. So helpful and comprehensive. A lot to think about before buying. Leaning toward the Aura. Thanks again. I’ll check out more of your videos too. 😊
Thank you, great video. Do you need the honeycomb tray and riser or can you just remove the existing tray and use the wooden risers if you want to use the rotary tool for cups?
thank you for the video. I am looking at the Xtool p2 or the glow forge pro. my worry is that the software will be too difficult for some of our staff. Is the software intuitive? such as setting strength of laser and depth?
I think the software should be pretty easy for those sorts of changes. The Glowforge software lets you do less, but that might be better for people who are technically...challenged. The xTool is more robust but may be a bit of a learning curve. But once you figure out how to do it, it's easy!
I would but I don't have an xTool P2, which is their larger CO2 laser. I am considering getting their new S1 when it launches-it's a 40W diode laser, so a much more powerful version of the M1 and larger as well. I wish I had room and the budget for ALL the lasers!
I'm not sure! That's not a material I've cut before. I would think it would be possible if it was a laser-ready material (meaning it wouldn't cause fumes or other damage to the machine).

You are so welcome! I'm glad it was helpful!
Great information! This video was very informative and was a big help!
Thanks!!

Glad it was helpful! I hope you love your Aura :)
The video we've all been waiting for!! 🙌
I feel like a lot of people need this video so they can make a decision! :)
This was super helpful, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Incredibly helpful information for an absolute newbie! Thank you so much!!
Glad it was helpful!
I am a bagmaker and am looking into a laser to cut my materials (cork, vinyl, waterproof canvas). Would a laser be a better option?
Are you handcutting now? I feel like most of those materials might be better cut on a Cricut Maker.
OMG!! I Love you for That Video... Helped me so much with my 1th Leser
You’re welcome!
Thank you for the info you answer all my questions

Awesome, glad you found it helpful! :)

You don't need them! You can use the wood risers. I have the wood risers for my M1, but I prefer the riser base.

Best comparative analysis I’ve seen. Delivered in a way that was so easy to understand follow. Thank you!
Awesome, thank you for that feedback!
Extremely helpful. Thank you!!! Any chance you’d be able to do a comparison on the step up laser from both of those companies?
I would but I don't have an xTool P2, which is their larger CO2 laser. I am considering getting their new S1 when it launches-it's a 40W diode laser, so a much more powerful version of the M1 and larger as well. I wish I had room and the budget for ALL the lasers!

How long does it take to cut a design with the Aura?
Depends on the design! But I will say…it’s sloooow compared to a CO2 or higher wattage diode laser.
Whoo hooo! Look at you doing the most requested video! :D
Had to do it!
Excellent comparison video. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent video. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Can you engrave stainless steal tumblers, what length?
You can in the xTool M1. And with the RA2 pro tool, I think you'd be able to engrave any length of tumbler!
wich machines can engrave 3d like images on brass and metal.
Both of these machines can, however I think the engraving quality is better on a CO2 (like the Glowforge Plus or xTool P2) or fiber laser (xTool F1).
Can either cut cotton woven material? I sew and often there are SVG files that can be used to cut pattern pieces.
I've not cut either, but I do believe I've seen people cutting fabric with the diode laser.
Thanks for the help
You're welcome!
I wish I could afford anyone of those machines. Can the glow forge machine be able to cut cork leather?
I'm not sure! That's not a material I've cut before. I would think it would be possible if it was a laser-ready material (meaning it wouldn't cause fumes or other damage to the machine).
Hi, can i buy this machine on Aliexpress, are they copy. Thanks
I don't believe so, sorry.
