The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola is over and F1 is moving onto the jewel in the crown, Monte Carlo for the Monaco GP, Max Verstappen took an incredible victory but it was very close as Lando Norris was reeling him in at the closing stages as Mclaren look like the closest threat now to Red Bull and with Monaco being a street circuit which is where Red Bull are weaker. We could see a shaking up of the order once again. The Monaco Grand Prix is the biggest race of the year and the home of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc who is looking to finally get a decent result on home soil but he will be close with Lando Norris, Oscar Pisatri and Verstappen all looking to take the fight to him, teammate Carlos Sainz will also be looking to find a way to recover and get back in the fight after a couple of tricky races.
Aston Martin are continuing to fall back in terms of pace but they are still 5th in the constructors championship. Fernando Alonso had a shocking weekend and he is a long way away from challenging for pole like he did last year here. Mercedes are looking like they have improved but Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are a long way behind the cars in front of them and they still have a lot of work to do. Who will impress at the biggest race of the year?

This will not age well. MCL weakness is slow speed corners.... I'll leave it at that. Look for Tsunoda and Piastri to do better than their teammates in quali, of course tsu gonna dominate ric AGAIN.
I don't think it is as bad as it used to be. We shall see, that's the fun part of these early predictions. I could be completely wrong 😀
Lando said in the press conference that their weakness isn't slow speed. It is their weakness on tracks with varied characteristics, but on pure slow speed tracks, McLaren is able to set it up well.
Did you watch miami? Most of it is medium-slow speed corners with long straights and they were amazing.
blud didnt watch miami
On track with fast and low possibly (hard to tell now tho) but the cars are tuned for slow speed so its not really comparable to other tracks.
I think the pole position is for Charles and my top 5 is
5 Carlos sainz
4 oscar piastri
3 max verstapen
2 lando Norris
1 Charles Leclerc
Getting the first win since 2022 at his home race would be awesome
How is Verstapen? But Verstappen will be on pole again.
@@daphneschuring5810 And if he's on pole he will win
Interesting. Ima come back to you after monaco. I rlly wanna see a Max vs shaarl tbh
man love your videos and content, one of the best channels in youtube in this aspect. Keep it up please!!!!!
Haha thanks man I intend to keep it up 😀
Before the video starts:
1- Leclerc
2- Norris
3- Verstappen
4- Sainz
5- Piastri
I don’t think Max gets pole here. I adore your videos btw
Thank you so much as always, I would definitely take that result
You've gone really bold with your predictions this time! I'm inclined to be a little more conservative. I think the high speed corners at Imola gave McLaren the edge that they probably will not get in Monaco. So, my top 5 for the race are:
P5 Carlos Sainz
P4 Oscar Piastri
P3 Charles Leclerc
P2 Lando Norris
P1 Max Verstappen
Sorry to repeat last race's results!
It's good to be adventurous sometimes 😉 yours does sound more likely though
Hi there - Thanks for the video
These are your top five predictions for the race or for the qualification ? / BTW did you think to posting an update video after the Free practice sessions ?
It's early race predictions, after practice I tend to do qualifying predictions and then if I do a qualifying video it will my final race predictions
My favourite content creator. You deserve 10x the number of subs that you have
AHH thank you as always 😍
Hell no! He deserves way more than 10x!
I reckon Piastris a chance for his first win here. His struggle is tyre deg which is something that sometimes makes him lose places or not gain places in races, however, his one lap race pace is on par with lando's.
That's a good point. Hopefully Piastri can get a win this year and Monaco would be a good place for it
I think Charles will get pole, so here is my top 5
Quali: 1. Lec
2. Nor
3. Ver
4. Sai
5. Pia
Race: 1. Lec
2. Ver
3. Nor
4. Pia
5. Sai
I would absolutely take that result
You are crazy. Max after that race. I am never beating against him again. P1 Max P2 Lando P3 Hamilton. Max is on his revenge tour.
not hamilton p3 charles
I like to spice up the results once in a while 😀
@@mo215300 Hamilton is due for a podium. And Charles always has bad luck in his home race.
@@MrPulseF1 that is why I put Hamilton P3. Max right now is looking like a man refusing to lose out there. You have to earn it.
Lmao Hamilton 3rd what happened to the 4 cars missing
Charles pole pls 😭 It’s been too long
It has pole and home win at Monaco would be the dream
@@MrPulseF1bit unpredictable though, ferrari qualifying this year has been very up and down
Oscar has been out qualifying Lando pretty often. I'd say 50/50
We absolutely loved Peter Windsor' brilliant comment (in his 'sun glasses', 45 minute shared analysis podcast) where he suggested that the FIA / F1 management team asked the RB team to 'Sandbag' this weekend to increase F1 viewer ratings. Ha-ha
Bit of Slow down by Red bull.. Make it look more competitive 😁
@@freddievanrensburg982 We 100% agree with you. 🙂😄
onewins: gets outqualified by Piastri since Miami
mrpulse: oscar 4th, lando 1st
Lando may have the best car, but he always cracks under pressure in qualifying. Case in point, Imola where Piastri outqualified him. I think since Monaco is a driver track, Leclerc or Verstappen will get pole. Here's to hoping it's our boy Charles, he deserves that one!
I would love it to be Leclerc, seeing him finally get the home win would be great
Its gonna be 20 degrees this weekend apparently which will require tyre warmup something that redbull and ferrari struggle with and McLaren excels in. I expect atleast a McLaren double podium here. Piastri will not struggle with race management as much so if he gets a good grid slot he should be able to stay there.
Ps. A random thought: Daniel would be kicking himself for not being able to make it work with McLaren looking at where they are now. Its redbull and McLaren he has thrown away the opportunity at
That's a great point, weather at Monaco is always interesting and definitely will be a factor this weekend. A double McLaren podium definitely feels like a possibility.
Yeah Ricciardo will definitely be disappointed but VCARB are at least on the rise I suppose
@@MrPulseF1 you're right about vcarb but then again he's not the one who's taking advantage of their rise. Yuki is kind of doing what lando was doing in 2022 and charles was doing in 2020 which was bagging the maximum results with a donkey of a car whereas their teammates were nowhere
1.Leclerc
2. Piastri
3. Verstappen
4. Norris
5. Sainz
I would take that result
Interesting predictions. My top 3 are
Ver
Lec
Per.
Let’s hope your prediction ages like wine and not like milk.
I anticipate yours is more likely but I wanted to shake it up a bit 😉
Oscar pole
That would be awesome to see. Good chance of him winning his first race then
Aston Martin, Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren & Red Bull ... if you please
It's based on championship order. When McLaren overtakes them I will do that 😉
Checo coming for his belt. Street king wins again. That’s right
He will need it if he wants to recover
Let’s hope that’s the case
oh, and if Mclaren win, it be Piastri. If Mclaren do the right thing and have white with Papaya Malboro-esque livery, that will give them half a second a lap
Yeah I would take that as a result
You wish😂
@@timotejbogsa1216 not really a wish, i think he is driving well enough to do it.
I think McLaren are in a great position to win at Monaco
Yeah I agree with that
i think leclerc is gonna get pole but lando is gonna win
Interesting but somehow entirely possible despite it being so tough to overtake at Monaco
Rain will give Lewis Hamilton a surprised win.
That's a possibility especially given China sprint quali
Looking at last year Verstappen will be on pole but Piastri will be second!
Very possible. Piastri at the front would be amazing
It's gonna ba fierce fight for pole again.
Ferrari might have a chance here.
Agreed. The fight for pole could be Fantastic
Piastri to put it on pole and win.
I would take that result 😁
when does aston martin drop out of the top 5
When VCARB overtakes them although I might alter that if they continue to fall backwards
You can't be anymore wrong with your predictions 😂
AHH well, being right about predictions is boring (unless I was betting obviously) 😅
Quali I think it’ll be 1 Leclerc 2 Norris 3 verstappen 4 Piastri 5 Perez 6 sainz then in the race I think 1 Norris 2 leclerc 3 verstappen 4sainz 5 Perez 6 Piastri
It's a solid prediction I could see that happening
@@MrPulseF1 most likely verstappen pole verstappen win I just hope some rain and verstappen does what sainz did last year a little spin
Why is a bumpy track better for McLaren than Redbull?
Recently bumpier circuits have hurt Red Bull more than others. so it could be an issue. Could being the main word 😉
I have alot of disagreements with your top 5,One thing is that mclaren isnt that good in low speed and second is that leclerc is without a single doubt better than norris at Monaco and so is Verstappen so how do you expect Lando to get pole? You are just jumping on the hype train at this point
I've been saying for a long time McLaren are weak in a slow speed. However I do think the miami upgrade will have helped in that area. I could be very wrong and if I am then hey I am glad to be wrong, it's an early prediction at a circuit that is nothing like any other on the calendar 😀 I am usually very conservative with predictions so why not do something a bit different for once
I think Logan or albon are going to crash into the wall😂
Great content again! I have feeling we will have a new race winner this weekend.
Pole Position: Oscar Piastri
P1: Piastri
P2: Sainz
P3: Hamilton
P4: LeClerc
P5: Norris
RedBull will have a bad qualification, both cars. Due to traffic or a crash 😅
That is one mixed up top 5, honestly if Monaco is wet for qualifying that would be entirely possible and great to see.
Thanks for the comment
Already fed up with the best driver showcasing his talents? 🙄🙄🙄
Two predictions. There’s almost no passing and Hamilton will finish in the P8-10 position.
Both very possible at Monaco
the top 3 teams are so close it's impossible to tell but I gues ferrari will be solid as they are better on slow-mid corners which is a pretty massive advantage so
1.leclrec
2.norris
3.verstappen
4.sainz
5.piastri
It's the hope with Ferrari that gets you 😉 but I hope you're right. Either way it is ultra close
here i present to you all, my delusional prediction
1. DANNY RIC COME ON HONEY BADGERRR
2. OOO FERNANDO ALONSOOO
3. PIEEERRRREEEE GASLYYYYYYY
4. ZHOUUUUUUU GUANYUUUU
5. max verstappen
I'm with you for first if they can get the front end that he's wanted but not given he will be very quick seeing he won down on power for half the race.
look at what happened to redbull after adrian newey departure , they have lost the race in miami and max almost lost the win in imola the gap is only less than a second , when adrian was on the team they were winning by more than 15 seconds , they will suffer even more in the future without him,he is the undisputed king of ground effect cars, and the worst is yet to come , they should have kept adrian at any cost , they should recruit high caliber engineers asap
Red Bull still has a Fantastic team of engineers outside of Newey. Imola and Miami were definitely tricky for Red Bull. Australia was not fantastic and Newey was still there. In general the competition has closed so they're not going to have it all their own way like last year. It at least makes the races more interesting for first
Max was winning the race in Miami. But a safety car changed the outcome. And that can happen in F1. Norris would probably ended up 4th.
you should get a clue before stating bs roflmao, even toto said GR had no pace thats why he pitted
I wouldn't always trust a team principal on what they say but anyway there was 10 laps left and Russell had a 30 second gap to Perez. Perez would have had to close 3 seconds a lap to overtake. Does that sound likely? From lap 42 to lap 50 Hamilton only closed the gap to Russell by 3 seconds and still had another 4.5 seconds to close in those last 13 laps and given it was incredibly difficult to overtake at Imola it's not that likely he would have gotten close enough to do anything like get involved in an incident with Russell which would have been the only reason to box him. That's my personal opinion and numbers don't really suggest Toto has a point
@@MrPulseF1 simple maths really. Russell was losing 0.5 per lap… so make the maths yourself. It was only gonna get worse… not about Perez at all but mostly for that extra point. Did you start watching since dts released? You clearly misread the numbers… check again lol
@@TheFeelhigh unless DTS started 23 years ago no I didn't 😅
@@MrPulseF1 the thing is Russell himself said on team radio that his tyres are dead. The people on the pit wall did their job and pitted him. Not really rocket science dude. Try watching the prepaid live timing and understand it next time on a weekend.
Predicition is quite inaccurate
Yeah it was not the most accurate but that's the fun of this, I didn't expect Ferrari to be as strong as they were
@@MrPulseF1 do you think Max will rebound this coming weekend? I thought Ferrari will also bring some small upgrades?
Your early race day predictions are pure fantasy. Max P3 & Lando winning!!!! ..... you must either be very sick & on drugs or something. ha-ha
As the track is much slower, despite the extra bumps, the RB will drive like it is 'on rails'. Nothing can touch them where 'on track' performance is concerned. ha-ha
I mean you tried to tell me how Perez and Alonso were getting a podium at Imola and that didn't turn out very well 😉 we both like a bit of fantasy from time to time
@@MrPulseF1 Ha-ha. Point taken. Ha-ha
We had no idea why the RB team would give Checo stupid, shocking race strategy and that he would have such bad luck.
As for Fernando, we don't know why his race was messed up so badly. hmm
At least our 'poor' excuse for our bad judgement is that we are F1 fans who genuinely love the sport.
On a serious note, do you think Lando will get another win this year? If more than 1 win, how many do you think he will win this year?
@@midas7394 i think he absolutely could win more than one race. Red Bull are weaker at bumpier circuits and with that in mind there is no reason why Norris doesn't sneak another win or two.
Spoken like a genuine McLaren fan. ha-ha
It's always a pleasure to chat with fellow F1 fans who support their teams, no matter where they are, in the pecking order.
