@@wunder4402 Its funny that the person on the Codec often knows what is happening even before Snake tells them. That is probably just one of those things that we are not supposed to think about.
0:03 This is how you know something was up with Miller. He didn't go into a speech about how they weren't just dogs, but Diamond Dogs, and how they were just there to suffer, the ache of their missing limbs never really going away.
@@mohammednegm4007 Yes. I, too, have played this game through several times. The point is, "Miller" seems to make a veiled threat or at least a weird comment from a supporting person and Snake doesn't seem to think much of it.
The fact Liquid played the role of Kaz Miller while still guiding his brother to activating Rex and then revealing himself at the end was something in 1998 that seemed like a Spy thriller directed by Tom Clancy.
This conversation sounds so genuine and heartfelt. Almost as if Kojima was trying to drop a hint to us that if things were set up differently for Snake and Liquid, they'd really see each other as two brothers who survived tragic mission after tragic mission together, sharing each other's pain and holding the other up. Then instead of Liquid tricking Snake, he's actually trying to guide him through the mission and ensure his family makes it back alive... Snake(Trying to figure out if this mission has any meaning): Liquid, you and I, we're nothing more than dogs, are we? Liquid(Who realizes Snake needs to talk to his family instead of radio support at the moment): That's not like you brother... Then the rest of the talk goes exactly the same. Both versions are just one step away from each other.
I forgot the frequency. Unfortunately, all the commentaries are in kanji and there’s no dedicated page for the translations on the Metal Gear Fandom Wiki
Its amazing how glasses, a hairdo, and a small change in your voice can fool so many people. I guess I can't make fun of Clark Kent.
For Clark, it's all about his posture and demeanor.
"Did you like my sunglasses? "
But how could Snake even see him?

I get the joke (actually pretty good btw), but I don't think Kojima had refined the lore that much just yet?

Funnily enough, with the reveal, this conversation was literally just a pep talk to ensure Snake continues the mission for you know who.
Voldemort?
"That's how you'll end up too, Snake".."
Wait..what? Master, what? I thought you were supposed to be my support.
Seriously, I can imagine that awkward hangup, and Snake sitting there being like ".....wait...what did he just say to me!?"
See: "Master Miller reveal"
In Hind (haha hint) sight, I consider it a threat

TBF this is exactly how my therapist speaks to me when I call her for support
What a fun plot twist. I started to sense something was up when Miller began to push a little *too* aggressively for Naomi's arrest...
Hehe, playing Snake like a DAMN fiddle

Ironically Snake was looking for death as well in the Game color version of metal gear solid.

Master Miller is such a stoic man. I would fear if I have to fight on the opposite side against him in a battlefield.

Liquid: no...

What does the staff codec do? 1st time I saw that
Developer commentary from metal gear integral
what is the staff codec frequency
I think it’s metal gear solid integral and you can use that frequency for behind the scenes info from the developers
