72 hours in the game, i just spent the last 3 hours in the pitless dungeon and OMFG was it hard. Still loving the game and it took me 5 days to beat the story, not even started my 2nd playthrough yet.

damn 72 hrs I just got the key at 100 hrs

The most difficult part in these dungeons is...
The camera.
For people having trouble getting the key and is ready to fight the hardest sidequests in the game here is a full tutorial:
1. Beat the Game (NOTE: THIS IS COMPLETLEY OPTIONAL AND HIGHLY RECOMENDED FOR PEOPLE WANTING TO GET THE POWERFUL WEAPONS IN THE GAME EASIER AND FASTER. FOR PEOPLE THAT WANT TO GET AN EXTRA CHALLENGE TO THE DUNGEONS YOU CAN USE UMBRA TO TRAVEL TO PAST LUCIS RIGHT BEFORE THE IFRIT FIGHT)
2. Use Umbra to travel to past lucis on Chapter 15 (THIS MUST BE ON CHAPTER 15 OR IT WILL NOT WORK)
3. Beat the 4 optional dungeons: Balouve Mines, Crestholm Channels, Costlemark Tower and Daurrel Caverns (Grab the bow of the clever in Balouve if needed)
4. Go to ezma (shown in the video) (you can get the sidequest when there is a yellow "?" Sign on top of her head)
5. Have Fun either crushing some of the early dungeons or ragequitting.
(Seriously Most of the bosses are TOUGH)

Considerate comment but it baffles me why anyone would need to read this as you just told us everything the video uploader has told us... in the video. Clearly, Joshua Williams has a hard time following instructions though so you've benefited someone at least
What do you mean by "beat the dungeons"? Kill everyone there? Daurell Caverns have some vault door there, I can't go through. No boss no anything. The characters doesn't say anything for completion.
@@ps4games164 All dungeons have those vaults my dude, they are need game content. Ive got platinum trophy in the game since my last comment on here, what you wanna do if i remember right is not only beat the main story but get all 13 royal arms then go talk to an old women on a chair on her front porch in the outpost area that to the right of the vesperpool, she will hand you the key :)
Also there's a statue outside the first dungeon if you examine it with all 13 royal arms unlocked you'l unlock the upgraded armiger form, it's a lot of fun to use
I really wish they would continue to expand this game like new places to visit outside of lucis

Hello!!!! 2024 I just beat the game again on my PS5 with the free Royal version! Ended my day and can't wait to start the endgame content tomorrow morning! This game is so wholesome! Defs prefer this one over XVI, I went one and done on that one. Whereas this game have me bawling my eyes out everytime i replay it... The story is just so emotional..

The last optional dungeon is easy to miss when you try to find it
I finish the game, and went to all the dungeons that you listed and found all the doors to the for dungeons that you listed in your video I went back to the old lady and the quest is still not there

Ok when your back in lucis and u get to the final mission call umbra to you and travel to past lucis there you will be able to get the quest from ezma at Hunter HQ

I'm playing the game on new game + and I'm having the exact same problem. I check my completed quests and can find all 4 dungeons there but when I go to ezma she just says so stupid one liner. What should I do? Do I need to compete the game again and go see her?

Hi, I have all 11 + 1 secret dungeons open even with side quests, still the old woman has no side quest by me and therefore I don't get the key to get into closed doors in dungeons. Don't know what to do about it?
4th dungeon he names cant be completed WITHOUT THE FUCKING KEY.

yes but as far as i know if you use it for crafting a magic it will give you 50 magic as well as the best potential in the game, so your magic will be flare or electro or freeze. you can also get this item in altissia by playing justice monster V for 10 000 gil at a certain place

If you are watching this and you are about to do all of the doors... don't do it... trust me whatever you do don't do that it isn't worth it!

You get a medal. It’s worth 50k Gil, or you could use it in spells to make over 50 uses of Maxcast(limit break spells)

The only one of these doors I've seen was in Balouve Mines. And the only dungeons I've yet to do are the Tower and the other one that's southwest of it. Jeez, I must be new and bad at this.

My question is why does the game have to be done? Why can't we get them before hand, to help the fight with Ardyn? This confuses me to no end!!!

You have to do it in new game plus but idk if from whatever chapter your on or you have to do it from new game plus chapter 15?!¿¡
I did all requirements, if I go in any of the sealed dungeons and work my way down and kill the boss I get locked in behind me and there is definitely no path back so I have to go to a manual save, why is this?

you have to have the quest. The old lady will give you a key that unlocks it
so I just beat the game for the second time all dungeon are cleared but she won't give me the key do I have to reclear the dungeons I've already beat in the first play through?

Does it work in chapter 14 I save right before you go up the escalators to fight Arydn does it have to be chapter 15 Because I dont want to rest everything
omg guys. all u have to do to keep playing after u beat the game is save the file. when u click it again it will bring u back to the moment right before fighting ifrit. all u do is go to a rest spot and return to the past to do everything u must do....after u save the game you beat when u reload it u will be in a rest spot anyway....your welcome

I finished the game and went straight to new game+ can I still open the doors or do I have to beat the game again.
I dont think you have to beat it again because you will still have the key

Finished the game. Started a NEW+ game. Went through those four dungeons. Quest still won't show up.

when you get to a dungeon it will give you a quest to slay a monster in the inner sanctom clear that to beat the dungeon.

When I reach the bottom of the dungeon the boss don't spwan.. Its just a empty room...

I hate to ask, but has anyone found out what Cid's hammer is used for yet? I've seen one smartass tell everyone to keep exploring but so far, I've found nothing!
There isn't a use found so far, it's most likely a trophy item
my guess is that later on when they will add the new game+ there will be a new cave where you have to use the hammer to go in, and inside you will probably find something story related, or extremely cool.
Beowulf I would like to see Cid's hammer used for combining 2 accessories together. maybe dlc or something

I only finished the game, it asked me ´Do you want to save the game? You will end up right before the boss´(kinda like that) i said yes, saved and loaded this file and went to Ezma.

DemBones i fixed the issue turns out i didnt make a new save, so i went back before i killed ardyn. and killed him again and redid the save

How did games passed the level 99 dungeon.
You cant use items and at acertain point you will have to fight 4 iron giants (level 90).
*ps before those 4 iron giants you have to face other 2 iron giants
You have to make alot of spells with healing items to power threw this easily spells are the key to this one
