I have been looking everywhere for some good videos. Thank you so much! this has been super helpful. I am very new at the concertina thank you.
Excellent instruction! Just brought a used one home to try.
I am glad I have found your page . I am trying to read all this from a book . So much easier to watch 🙂
Amazing! I'm trying to learn the concertina for a clown and pirate show so this is really helping.
Muchas gracias por la lección, saludos desde México
this really helped me get started with scales. I'm looking forward to progressing from your youtube tutelage! keep it up!
Under the tutelage of randy tutelege
Where did you get yours?
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was just about to quit because of how hard it was, but thanks for helping me through it!!!!! 😃😃😃😁😁😁😁😁
It's like the diatonic accordion
Is it easier to learn to play on a 20 button concertina or is it just as easy to play the 30 button concertina? Thank you for the video.
For you, I let the ads play all the way through. 👏👏👏
Many Thanks for showing us how to play the Wellerman . I can't find Tab for it in any of the" Sailor Song" books for concertina. Thanks for slow. other Teachers say the will go slow - but not slow enough do me
thank very much.👏👏👏
Love the video! How much is that concertina worth?
I can't help but hear a vine boom sound effect whenever he says "fingering" XD
Could someone tell me how much is a decent quality cheapest concertina for someone who wants to learn to play it but isn’t sure? Approximately what’s the lowest it could cost?
Probably minimum of $250, though $300 is a bit more realistic.
I just picked up a 20key for 155!
Really enjoyed this basic lesson. Now, if I can just get the right hand pinky fingering straight - - -
Doesn't "diatonic" just mean that it uses the intervals of a major scale? (Inb4, "but he played minor." Relative minor is the same as major, just a different mode.)
Either way, the concertina seems way harder than the accordion just because you actually have to pay attention to whether you push or pull the bellows. I picked up accordion super fast because I play a little bit of piano, but all you have to do with the bellows is basically just make sure you alternate between push/pull between phrases.
Yeah diatonic just refers to any 7-tone scale. Bisonoric is what he meant.
Did you really need to leave the Tag on the Handle during the Making of the Video?
"Diatonic" does NOT mean that each button plays two notes. It means that the instrument does not have any of the additional sharps and flats that would enable it to play chromatically. It is perfectly possible to have a diatonic lyre, or a diatonic hurdy gurdy, not to mention some types of flute which might also be diatonic.
I do think there might be a term that specifies that the instrument plays two different tones based on draw or blow. It might be similar to diatonic
@jimwashburn3495 bisonoric is the correct term. However, confusion of these terms is very common.
Thank you, but is very defficult for me 😢
5 days i try learn this one…🥵
Omg its rainbow colored
Thanks for wearing a mask. I feel safer already.
Ты руский?
did you really need to wear a mask during the Making of the Video?
Why are you wearing a mask all alone in your own home?
3 years later, don't you feel silly for wearing the face diaper?
Why don't you wear a mask - are you afraid of infecting the video camera?
Probably because he's in a store where a lot of people come in from different places all the time... And with the state of the world at the time the video was recorded, I don't think it was a bad idea.
If there is an epidemic - should stay at home. There is such a song - ......crazy people.......
Good instruction video but ditch the dumb mask!
Ridiculous mask on.
Wellerman is not a shanty, though. It's a folk song. People use "shanty" for practically anything even remotely sounding like it might have been sung by seamen at some point when, specifically, shanty only refers to work songs with some call-and-response pattern or another. Which Wellerman is not. Stop calling it a shanty.
Why is he wearing a mask. Wtf.
As Captain America once said, “Language!”
😂
Just the fact that you are sitting there with a mask, makes me not want to watch you...
You don’t know what the man is dealing with, so why don’t you stop judging what is going on with his masking up. Why bring some idiotic politics into his video? I’m sure you’re an American …
@@Find-Your-Bliss- Look at their profile picture. That says all you need to know.
Sorry, but why do you have to wear a mask? There's presumably no one near you for you to think it's necessary.
He's actually inside Liberty Bellows, the music shop, in PA. Presumably following guidelines for the time of a public area.
What's it to ya?
I was thinking the same thing
Mask. Wtf
take off your mask bro
What is a "mask bro"?
Get that thing off yer face....
