Personally I am of Japanese descend (Dawson is just an online pseudonym) with no Western blood within the past few centuries, at least as far as I'm aware of... but I might have to get my DNA checked up pretty soon then, haha. I first heard Inspiration being used as theme song for a traditional Japanese drama. I don't know what sort of a genius would've thought to use flamenco music for an Edo period suspense, but many Japanese agree that there's something in it that weirdly resonates with our Japanese senses, even though the music itself is Spanish. Maybe it's the guitar tones? Who knows. But I love how music can totally travel through time and space, reach people's minds like nothing else can.
Sending hugs and platonic love your way. Try the Gipsy Kings -excellent guitars with a Spanish feel. Pavarotti can be quite uplifting too, but not everyone's cuppa I know. THAT'S A CONCERTINA??!! Whenever they've shown up in novels I'm reading, I always pictured a small piano forte type thing, not a gorgeous tiny accordion. Ahhh, all the musicians are so talented.
This song has the sound of a nostalgic memory; rushing by in the theater of one's mind so fast that the fine details of the background and 'side characters' fade away in a blur of color. Nostalgia is one of the very few emotions that we as humans can experience that is both negative and positive at the same time. It reminds us of times gone by that we remember fondly but at the same time encompasses the longing we feel to relive those days that have already passed. To any who reads this, I want you to remember something. Nostalgia is not a bad feeling, it is proof that we are something that exists above the world as we know it. Whether it was through atoms smashing in just the right way to give us a planet that is perfectly far from the sun with water that we can drink and the food we can eat or the hand of God(s) lovingly sculpting us and the world to grow beyond their design and become more beautiful we have the capacity to feel happy for what we've experienced and miss it at the same time. This is an aspect of life that we as humans can cherish. Keep looking forward, since echoes of that nostalgia will ripple outwards into your future and the tune will sound just as vibrant and beautiful as the first time you heard it but with new faces, new places, and new experiences.

I have no funny comment to write here. This is just incredible. The combination of the soft sound of the guitar, the distinct sound of the violin and the stinging sound of the concertina is just amazing. You're awesome.
Say what you want about the internet but the fact that i can just listen to music and instantly feel like i was 5 again and walking into my local pub remembering the old folks voices, the smell of cigars and cigarettes the smell of whisky and a carpet soaked in beer but being in awe that through all this came a unity in music and feeling and emotion that is still unmatched to this day. I feel lucky enough to be 28 and having experienced all of that but being old enough to realise its almost a thing of the past given curfews on children, the smoking ban and all of the other odd bits thrown upon pub life.
Also because the concertina and the fiddle are always played together, if you dont know what the fiddle or the concertina sounds like (many people dont even know what the concertina is) its difficult to separate the sounds and identify who's making what sound. But yes she is very talented
When I saw and heard how you three played together, I was reminded of something I learned in choir. My teacher told us that in a good choir, you can pick out great individual voices but in a great choir every individual listens in order to blend their voices into the singular 'voice' of the choir. I listen to a lot of folk music but I've noticed that the three of you are so in synch at times I stop hearing individual instruments and only hear the sound of your trio as a whole. It's kind of magical to see and unique to your group. So Thank you for sharing your voice, listening to you work off of one another is a joy.

Gilbii ...You can get some pretty good apps for the iPad, I play virtual melodeons, (also real ones) go for Micheal Eskin, he started it all, with Hohner.
juscelino filho ....This is an Anglo concertina, out notes and in notes. The English is different, more buttons, play the same note in and out. Also can get iPad apps.
blackbonsai ....Who? Me? I don't (although I know how to) play Anglo concertina but melodeons, they play the same but the top half is in your left hand, enhances the ability to play both octaves, you can play with 8 fingers instead of 4, play bass with the right hand, or not, as you choose. Sure I can play the iPad melodeons, can't feel the buttons, and I was advised from the beginning not to look, so takes a different mind-set, quite doable with work. You can set the notes to show on the buttons, but reading is not my way, it is down to hearing, also hearing when I run right off the tracks 'cause no feel on the screen.
haha yeah, i've held one with very similar patterns, the clickbait was perfectly tailored for me LOL

I felt like it more represented being in an Irish pub as a foreigner, as things start out slow and then progressively get more fun the more hammered everyone gets while the game is broadcasted on the 15 inch at the head of the bar
To me, this song has always evoked the sense of exploring a city beside the sea, filled with ancient architecture, ripe with trade, friendly faces, and beautiful vistas over the ocean. It's part of the reason I use it in my D&D campaign whenever my players arrive in just such a city.
Not since 1984 have i heard such sweet tunes. Oh the sweet skipping melody sounds of the box faster than running water, cooler than cool. oh man .the interplay is firing through the internet. Nice work oh people who choose to make music instead of noise. You are bringing simple pleasures to life.Keeping the darkness of our times at bay.
rotten heavenly.......where do you think the irish adopted their music from alang with 100s of scottish fiddle reel tunes(them being indigenous to scotland. many many scots and english sangs adopted in the late 50s/60s by the fledgeling irish bands at that time.
This feels like an important memory that I haven't experienced yet, it's bringing tears to my eyes. This is the most soulful music I've ever listened to. Thank you guys.
Just insane energy..... If I tried dancing to this I'd have a stroke. Absolute stars of the current folk scene. Making the old fresh and new and making the new with substance and character. Just excellent. Bravo.
Was just thinking about how this is the type of thing that runs through Moss Dirnach my current characters head when he can't sleep and is experimenting with new brews
Louise Cassidy I wouldn’t recommend that. You’d need to lean the basics first and some theory first! Doing things by ear is fun, but it’s nice to be able to read the sheets.
Not only is this a fab song but I also spot a Jimmy Moon acoustic guitar. I owned one some years ago but sold it during a lean patch when I wasn't playing much. The COVID lockdowns got me back to playing regularly and I have such regret, although I did discover Furch.
I'm an elementary music teacher in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our kids had an absolute blast today jamming along with you on our bucket drums today to this wonderful song and learning about Scottish instruments and culture. Thanks so much for the music. :)
This feels like the 1890s, but you're sprinting through a field trying to make it to your destination in time. You don't know if you'll even make it anymore, but you find yourself forgetting to care, just the thrill of it all is what keeps you running through the grass. Wind in your face, pollen puffs streaming past, stray twigs catching your petticoat, with the sun pushing on your back and at the very last second, when you're just about to give up... you make it.
While listening to this makes me feel like i am standing in a beautiful tree allee during autumn and the sun is shining, the colorful leafs are dancing in the wind while falling down and you just be a kid a again!

im so sorry you have to go through this. this song is also the only thing i can listen to during the most stressful periods of my life. but this song conveys, as you said, beauty and hope. remember that things will get better!
I've just seen your comment a year later. I hope your life is in a much better place and your heart has healed. You deserve so much better than to be treated like that.
I literally cannot thumbs up this enough, when I feel upset or like the current state of the world is going to swallow me up and never let me go this song is one of the ones that are enough to pull me out of things and remind me of all that is wonderful in the world. I don't know how to express how thankful I am to Talisk, thank you
I never heard a Concertina like Mohsen play. GREAT
Beautiful, looking forward to hearing you this Summer in Dublin..Ohio , United States.
Doesn't make me nostalgic, makes me feel proud of the moment I'm in now. I work harder to this song. You guys got it, Talisk.
A true English concertina is a difficult thing to play. I've heard them in sessions over the years, but this takes it to a whole new level. Bravo!
That one's an anglo concertina
This song is absolutely beautiful and brings a tear to my eye everytime I listen to it! Truly a work of art! This song means a lot to me as it was supposed to be the introductory song to a dnd campaign that never happened, so happy tears for sure! But also a few sad ones mixed in…
Thank you from my heart for the joy you bring in this crazy, dark time❣🥰💃🎆
1st of your songs i discovered then dish the rabbit hole i listening to everything i could find and then everything from the other projects each band member was a part of. Thank you for sharing your gifts with the world. Peace and long life.
Here after hearing these lot on the BBC at New year bringing in 2022. Love listening to this!
I have never heard anything like this. This and Farewell. What incredible music.
So beautiful to see folk music being kept alive, there's so much life in this song! And that concertina is adorable
I can listen to this song into my grave. It is not only instantly likeable, but endlessly so. I can’t believe it took me so long to find this group. They’re unbelievable!
I clicked because haha funny tiny accordion.
I left with goosebumps, a tear in my eye and an overwhelming sense of hope and happiness. This piece gives off the warmth of a summers day, with the nostalgic twist. The hint of Celtic in it adds to it too. Overall a wonderful experience...well done 👍
Had this in a playlist for the last couple years, one i put together as I moved from southern England to eastern Scotland. Talisk, Elephant Sessions and similar. Good music for good times! The other comments about music evoking feelings are totally right about this genre!
Came looking for copper and found gold.
Izaya Orihara this
Wish I could like this comment twice.
Damn right you did mate. Its impossible to hate this song
Dunno, man. That accordion looked silver to me.
Khananiel - Joshua Shimunov
White gold
I was looking up accordions and concertinas to spark some interest in trying to learn and then I found this and now I am adding one to my cart.
Gilbii ...You can get some pretty good apps for the iPad, I play virtual melodeons, (also real ones) go for Micheal Eskin, he started it all, with Hohner.
where did you find this concertina model? i need one after this video
juscelino filho ....This is an Anglo concertina, out notes and in notes. The English is different, more buttons, play the same note in and out. Also can get iPad apps.
admit it you never started to learn it.
blackbonsai ....Who?
We all came here for the tiny fancy accordion. Admit it
How could we not?
😁 I admit it...
And I'm so glad that I clicked
haha yeah, i've held one with very similar patterns, the clickbait was perfectly tailored for me LOL
Nope I came here because my taste is so cool YT recommends me these great obscure instrumental gourmet folk tunes but I def clicked on it because of the tiny fancy accordion. OK I admit that.
Stuff like this makes me happy. I feel like this is a musical representation of how it feels to dance in sunlight.
Ok, I dunno what just happened to me..but I'm here like shook for 15 minutes now and cannot describe to myself where I was...
I can't come up with a compliment that can even grasp the beauty of this..
Thank you, thank you very much for this
Made my life
This feels like breathlessly running down a hill with your stupid friends on a bright summer's day.
I am with you. Great description
In the Cheese Downhill Run, such memories
When we were happy but had no idea.
Best Scottish instrumental folklore band nowadays.
Some people are blessed with the ability to create music that only some Irish people can do with perfection. These 3 are up there with the best.
And we’re not even Irish 🥲😍!! Thanks mate! 👏🏻👏🏻
@@TaliskMusic Ohhh Scotts …lol. Sure we’re very alike
rotten heavenly.......where do you think the irish adopted their music from alang with 100s of scottish fiddle reel tunes(them being indigenous to scotland. many many scots and english sangs adopted in the late 50s/60s by the fledgeling irish bands at that time.
This progression has taken me to the edge of heaven... thank you...
This feels like an important memory that I haven't experienced yet, it's bringing tears to my eyes. This is the most soulful music I've ever listened to.
Thank you guys.
Why am I cryin' in the pub rn
"You hear that? That's adventure, and She's calling out your name."
Accurate af 👌🏻
Yh hear that. Simp!
You should change your name you're more than that.
why would someone name their daughter adventure???
Seems like you are not the asshole in comment section today 😉👍
Just insane energy..... If I tried dancing to this I'd have a stroke. Absolute stars of the current folk scene. Making the old fresh and new and making the new with substance and character. Just excellent. Bravo.
Instant aural therapy for negativity, passivity, lethargy, torpor, catatonia. Èirich agus gluais do bhodhaig!
This just sent me through a world of wonder that has yet to be written and drawn- absolutely outstanding, well done.
In my next d&d game, I'm going to play this as the 'opening theme' at the start of each session.
Did you do this? No, because I approve
Was just thinking about how this is the type of thing that runs through Moss Dirnach my current characters head when he can't sleep and is experimenting with new brews
I can’t think of a better theme!
This is one of the songs I used to introduce the groups I play with to the concertina...because that's the instrument of choice for my bard. :D
I've barelly began to learn music, I have no clue of what just happened here, I just know that I loved it
Giovana P. ...Best you don't learn music, nut it out by ear is easier.
That's all you need to know really.. I'm almost completely sure of it.
@@louisecassidy5991 that isn't good advice
@@louisecassidy5991 please, don't destroy the dreams of beginners just because you had a bad teacher.
Louise Cassidy I wouldn’t recommend that. You’d need to lean the basics first and some theory first! Doing things by ear is fun, but it’s nice to be able to read the sheets.
私は日本人です かつてこれ程のアーティストに出会った事がないです 非常に素晴らしい技術をもつ彼らが更に飛躍し世界へと羽ばたく日を心より願っております
Without a doubt, one of my favorite songs to date. It's so fun and melodic so you just cannot resist to jam with it.
How is this so good! I can't stop myself re-listening to it! Fantastic!
Very few songs give me whole-body chills, and this song managed to number among them 30 seconds in 😱😀
I usually listen to drum and bass but I really loved this… their passion is great
I can never get enough of this song
Not only is this a fab song but I also spot a Jimmy Moon acoustic guitar. I owned one some years ago but sold it during a lean patch when I wasn't playing much. The COVID lockdowns got me back to playing regularly and I have such regret, although I did discover Furch.
기타 연주하신 분 너무 멋있으세요ㅜㅜㅠ
많이많이 보고싶어요ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
when you try to play your concertina but instead you ascend to the next realm and fight god
Pompadorbz hate when that happens 😂
That feels like, I dunno, the next Zelda game or something.
@@GentleTaipan Link has to defeat an Irish Ganondorf and his special move is a concertina solo.
@@GentleTaipan Considering how many instruments have had important roles in Zelda games, I feel like this is a likely scenario
😆😆😆😆😆
I'm an elementary music teacher in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Our kids had an absolute blast today jamming along with you on our bucket drums today to this wonderful song and learning about Scottish instruments and culture. Thanks so much for the music. :)
My father played concertina , he also composed music, its amazing how every person brings out a totally new character of this instrument, be blessed.
Lovely vision !
Same here but I’m holding a Twix bar.
I really love this song, it always make my sadness go away. I really love your songs!!
I was looking up accordion videos to get inspiration for a dnd character and came across this MASTERPIECE! This is now the official theme for that character!
Hipnotic!
Hello from 🇧🇹 Bhutan...you guys are awesome!!
First song heard of theirs and man... I legit teared up, this is beautiful work!
I could so easily see this in a fun montage/trailer or a scene of emotional crescendo in any wholesome adventure movie or a Ghibli movie.
I love how it’s only three instruments, but they sound so.... beautiful 🤩
Just fantastic. Everyone involved also the people who are not seen here and making this video. Thank you.
So in love 😍
A tune to lift a heavy heart. Exquisite!
