I’m trying to teach myself the Stambaugh waltz ! It’s been over 20 years that I’ve played the concertina & I find myself with one in my life again ! If you can do a video on the Stambuagh waltz I would really appreciate it !
Hi, I'm completely new to the Anglo concertina (or any squeeze box like instrument at all.) And I've been having trouble getting used to having hand Independence. Like doing the oom pah with one hand and doing the melody with the other. I always end up having my fingers do the same thing on each side. So how can I practice finger/hand Independence?
I would suggest practising one hand only until it's second nature and then adding the other. In other words make one hand automatic and think about the other. Play very slowly and understand how the two parts slot together. You can only think about one hand at a time so whichever you find easier make that the "automatic" one.
What am i doing here 11pm? I have an essay tomorrow. I dont even play concertina
I’m thinking the same thing lol
That's how we lure new victims
Would love to see more melodeon style Anglo arrangements - I have a 20 button and is fairly limiting!
These videos are great! Now considering buying a concertina for myself!
Glad you like them!
