I'm just about to fire the trigger on one of these as well. I've been with my plastic floormat on carpet for about a year now after moving from a place that's had hardwood floors. I have to keep rotating it to continuously. I'm a gamer by nature, and I hate that if my chair doesn't move on the floormat during the weekend it creates noticeable divots in the plastic mat. Then when I have to forcibly shuffle my chair around these divots in order to position myself comfortably when I go to type/read/write/etc. I'm pretty sure that this will elevate my sitting experience much more when I'm at my desk! I've updated my chair wheels to the rollerblade castors to give me a little more height and stability from the standard ones. They are also absolutely silent on hardwood surfaces. Now it's time for me to update the mat. Great review, and thanks for being the feather that makes me fire the trigger on this product, haha!
When leaning back in your chair and slouching back do you ever find the chair to slip on the glass? Do you also know if thick carpet would affect using the mat? I’m worried the mat will sink into the mat and not distribute the weight appropriately
