- From Season 9 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episodes 2 and 3: Escapade in Florence which originally aired on September 30th and October 6th, 1962. Released theatrically overseas in 1963. Starring Tommy Kirk as Tommy Carpenter, Annette Funicello as Annette Aliotto, Nino Castelnouvo as Bruno, Clelia Matania as Aunt Gisella, Venantino Venantini as Lorenzo, Ivan Desny as Count Roberto, Odoardo Spadoro as Padrone, Carlo Rizzo as Uncle Mario, Renzo Palmer as Carabiniere, Richard Watson as Butler, Helen Stirling as Miss Brooks, Elisa Cegani as Felicia, Liana del Balzo as Countess della Scala, George Ehling as Gino, Ivan Triesault as Professor Levenson and Massimo Luigi as Mayor.
Superb charming, gentle film, unlike the harshness and crudity of modern movies! I wish I had a fun Italian restaurant like this, close to where I live!
Thank you for posting this! I wanted to see this for years
This is one of my favorite tv episodes!! Glad you enjoyed it!
My wife and I love everything Disney-related, especially Walt's earlier creations! We ole Boomers were so spoiled with everything from enjoying places like Stukies Restaurants when traveling through the U.S.A. in Dad's Chevrolet, (actually, my Pop drove a Lincoln, but Lincoln doesn't rhyme), to Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color and Disneyland Anthology programs when at home with the family on a cozy Sunday evening, yup, we were spoiled rotten alright.
But driving down the old Lincoln Highway (US 40) in a Lincoln works!
I always really liked the movie "Scapade in Florence". I saw it for the first time in the cinema, between 1969 or 1970. Tommy Kirk and Anette are excellent! (Joseph - Brazil).
Thanks so much! I LOVE this movie! Great quality too! Keep up the WONDERFUL work!
RIP Tommy Kirk. Sad what happened to his career.
But he had a happy life after he was done with acting before he died.
Thank you for posting this!!!! Been looking for it forever
@@liquidninja6654 Glad you found it! Isn’t it a fun flick? Love Tommy and Annette together!
Enjoyed looking at my memories from 2016 at the beginning.
WONDERFUL, SUPERB, THANK YOU.
This is such a fun movie! Thanks for posting it!
Awesome! - Thanks for posting! 😀
Many thanks for this Wonderful film in HQ +++++
👏👏👏💯Thanks for sharing. This movie is great. I noticed that this complete version has a different edit than the two-part version previously uploaded, in part two previously uploaded there is a long sequence that is not in this complete version.
Most televised episodes have material that was edited for a theatrical release later. I decided to post both the television and theatrical release. Good eye catching the differences!
@@keepingwaltindisney Thanks for uploading both versions.👏👏
So this is the theatrical release? I noticed this version is 5 minutes longer then the combined 2 part version yet you say that one had footage that this one did not? Seems like a contradiction in terms to me?
@@thomasmccartney1996 The theatrical version is shorter than the combined length of the two television uploads, even after factoring in Walt’s lead-ins and commercials.
Accordion music and its Italy. 😂
Ahhhh.... Oops! What happened to the translation?
ThnX 4-Upldng.
What do you mean by Eps 2 & 3? Is there a Part 1 of this movie lol?
Episodes 2 and 3 of Season 9 of The Wonderful World of Color. Escapade in Florence aired in two parts: the 2nd and 3rd episodes of that season. You’ll notice that is my naming convention for the Anthology episodes on the channel.
Awe okay cool, I was just a little confused.@@keepingwaltindisney
For The Theatrical Release, In The Beginning Did It Have The "Distributed By 'Buena Vista' Distribution Co.,Inc" Logo?
