- From Season 9 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 2: Escapade in Florence, Part 1 which originally aired on September 30th, 1962. This film starring Annette Funicello, Tommy Kirk and Nino Castelnuovo is about two art students in Florence (Tommy and Annette) that get caught up in the middle of an art crime. Filmed on location in Florence and also released theatrically overseas in 1963. This upload is from the airing on June 23rd, 1963 as is evident by the Summer Magic preview at the end. You can also enjoy a very entertaining look at Disneyland's Tom Sawyer Island in the 1960s during a brief RCA Transistor radio commercial!

I watched the Disney Movie Club Exclusive DVD of this a few weeks ago which sadly doesn’t have Walt’s introductions so it’s really neat to see them here, thanks for sharing this!
I know of quite a few people who would cringe at the thought of seeing this movie/TV segment, but what the heck, I have always admired sweet Annette Funicello, and will watch anything she's in, including those fun-filled Beach Movies. This is the type of movie that will transport you back to your childhood or early teen life. So leave your cares behind and enjoy Annette's singing and all the other comic-capers that come with this homespun movie.
