@@Mr2ShadyI played D1 and I forgoed the waiver. Legally you can. If somebody had hit me like this (luckily they didn’t) I would be available to file criminal assault charges against that player. Federally legal. One guy took a low hit on my knees and so I did a few lawyer consultations for that one but no lawyer would take the case. So I took him to civil court and lost. My coach wasn’t happy with me and decided to kick me off the team. And ur crazy if u think I didn’t sue the f**k out of them.

Go play Frisbee if you don't want to get hit. The one common denominator of great defenses is hitting. Lott and Ken Norton Jr. and Haley. Dent, Singletary, Marshall, Plank. The Selmons, Batman Wood, Mark Cotney. Mean Joe, Lambert, Shell. The offenses have been given every asset needed to turn football into a track meet. DB's are literally dying (Buffalo Bill's) to avoid collisions. It's bullshit. Leg injuries are up on the defensive side of the ball also. Maybe the receivers should learn to duck! Take their sub 4.3 speed and stick it up their ass. It's not dirty. It's defense. Cross a linebackers face and get your head ripped off (NYG 86'). Just like offenses are held to a standard (protect the qb at all costs ie.. Holding every play) the defenses are held to a standard also (don't give up a damn inch!). At least the great ones are! So for those who pity a wr getting laid out.... Don't! They could have put on the breaks like defenders are expected to do to avoid contact.
