Hearing this means a lot. Honestly, all the love people have been giving my channel recently means the world to me. I'm glad to be able to share these experiences and rekindle memories around some of my favorite games!
Having watched this a month or so ago, I only replayed this game (and in particular, this level) a couple of days ago. I vaguely remembered this video while playing the level, and thought, fuck it, I'll try to grab the extra lives. I jumped across in 2 minutes. I also jumped from the earlier pipe to the exit pipe, as well. It doesn't take 5 minutes; it's not that hard. Maybe it's a bit annoying on the wrist, but it's not that bad. It's an interesting spot, but by no means is it impossible. 2 minutes is nothing, and honestly felt like even less. This spot isn't hard.
I didn't have trouble with this, I've gotten these before in a casual play through, I knew I just needed to jump as soon as I hit the ground, took me 15 minutes, but I did it, not flexing or nothing, but this challenge is suprisingly difficult for a somewhat smoothly fun and easy-medium game
Oh yea, I grabbed those before, I didn't even know they were there, I was just looking for a hidden star thinking the devs could have placed it in a place I wouldn't think to look. After reaching the spot I just figured the shrooms were rewards for those willing to put the effort in. I think I used long jumps though.
This is not as hard as he makes it out to be this is way easier than you think it’s not perfect execution I’m no where near amazing at the game yet I can do it in less than 2 minutes
I actually found those 1-ups by myself when I first played the game. Although it's extremely precise, I don't think it's actually frame perfect, because even though I'm pretty good at precise inputs in Galaxy, I certainly would not have been able to do it if it that many times if it was frame perfect haha. Yeah, I'm the kind of person who tries to 100% and find ever secret the first time they play a level...
I actually made it to the end, before this video came out, just out of curiosity and trying to go places you shouldn't. When I go there I was surprised by the 1-ups. I thought tat it's stupid to have 3 1-ups there as a prize for doing so many spin jumps.
4:20 you were making progress in this clip tho even lmao, but yeah it doesn't need to be frame perfect at all, just how it was done in this clip is good enough, looked impossible but took a few seconds to realise it was possible AND easy, just tiring, I felt like this video wasn't needed to be honest lmao
I found this challenge a bit easier to complete if you wait a bit to spin after jumping. If you spin just before touching the sand, it gives you a longer distance boost, because you're going more horizontal than vertical. Also reduces the number of frame-perfect jumps you have to make, because the spinning is more lenient with timing.
Blake Cummings I’m not bashing or criticising the video in any way, and I don’t have intention of doing so. You could I say I didn’t listen to him, but I’m not attempting to completely debunk and make a fool of Swanky, which is what others are doing.
I don't understand what everyone is complaining about. I first played SMG2 when I was 9 and I wanted to explore EVERYTHING, so first discovering these on my own made me feel like all the hours spent searching areas I wasn't supposed to worth it... but I have never struggled to get these items. At most, with Mario's lesser jumping abilities, it takes me 45 seconds. The frames you have to secure the jump have been exaggerated in my opinion. I'm not saying I'm an expert at the game, in fact on the same run I discovered these allegedly 'impossible ' 1-UPs, it took me 5 hours of playing the Perfect Run to give up and make my brother do it for me. Whenever I watch this video and read the comments saying "Ooh, my arms broke off, those level designers are EVIL" I feel like somehow I'm the receiver of a world wide joke on me, but seriously, just focus on your landing, hold up and spin at the top of your jump and you would be surprised the amount of distance you can get from just Mario, let alone his sibling superior. I guess I'll never know...
I don't care who proved who wrong, but I do care about you attacking someone over this thing when he _specifically_ told you _not_ to. Chuggaconroys's fanbase officially sucks.

These three hidden one-ups will destroy you’re wrists
Chuggaconroy: Hold my batteries
I didn't have trouble with this, I've gotten these before in a casual play through, I knew I just needed to jump as soon as I hit the ground, took me 15 minutes, but I did it, not flexing or nothing, but this challenge is suprisingly difficult for a somewhat smoothly fun and easy-medium game
Shortygamerj Same I did this when I was really young as well
@@triangularfish6487 same here I was like 6 to 8
Dude he makes this seem way too hard at the start by WAITING ALMOST A SECOND BEFORE JUMPING AGAIN! CHUGGA BACK ME ON THIS!
I watched chuggaaconroy call out this video, and I've seen it in the past but somehow it got recommended to me so I guess *_the algorithm_* knows
I'm here from Chuggaaconroy's video to say, it's nowhere near as hard as this video made out to be.
As you know I did this when I was 10 and when I got there..
Man good times:)
This is not as hard as he makes it out to be this is way easier than you think it’s not perfect execution I’m no where near amazing at the game yet I can do it in less than 2 minutes
I think these are just a reward for the persistent people who want to know whats over there
I actually found those 1-ups by myself when I first played the game.
Game journalist moment
Wow these games are full of secrets,We really need a mario galaxy 3 on switch
And you have to use motion controls to activate the touch thingy...
Doh! I forgot what it's called, but you know what I mean
@@superluckyandroid9449 gyroscope
@RileyTheUltimate 12
You do know the Switch has a touchscreen?
EDIT: I probably have no actual idea what you mean.
I think that it is an Easter egg by the devs to give those who are curious, or want to try and go where they aren't supposed to.
I actually found these 1-UP mushrooms easy to access, it took only 20 minutes in total for me to get over there
same
same
Took me less; around 5 minutes for the first time I was curious on what was behind the Launch Star.
@John Stonik someone has their panties in a twist
@John Stonik k
I actually made it to the end, before this video came out, just out of curiosity and trying to go places you shouldn't. When I go there I was surprised by the 1-ups. I thought tat it's stupid to have 3 1-ups there as a prize for doing so many spin jumps.
I got these 1-ups by accident on one of my playthroughs of the game. It wasn't even too hard for me, it just took some patience.
"I've never heard of a challenge this physically gruelling being put into a Mario game" Nut jumps in Super Mario Odyssey.
Who else got recommended this video after watching Chugga play this galaxy in yesterday's video?
Seems like no one
I seriously did it in under a minute, it’s not that hard you just have to be patient (and good) lol
Anyone else here because you knew what chuggaaconroy was talking about?
Me
Ah, who knew 7 months was enough to prove this video wrong. Shout out to Chuggaaconroy 😂
I wonder if Chuggaaconroy will show this in his let's play of Super Mario Galaxy 2.
He did, and it's way easier than Swanky makes it sound.
Chuggaaconroy: It's not that difficult!
SwankyBox, if you still read the comments of 2 year old videos, what are your thoughts on Chuggaaconroy's discrediting of this video?
4:20 you were making progress in this clip tho even lmao, but yeah it doesn't need to be frame perfect at all, just how it was done in this clip is good enough, looked impossible but took a few seconds to realise it was possible AND easy, just tiring, I felt like this video wasn't needed to be honest lmao
Just jump and spin, this is super simple. Chuggaaconroy showed it off.
I actually did this during my first play through, just out of curiosity
Honestly, I never thought it was too hard to get to them. I was able to do it pretty easily a few years back
Chuggaaconroy: “I’m about to end this man’s whole career.”
Blake Cummings I’m not bashing or criticising the video in any way, and I don’t have intention of doing so. You could I say I didn’t listen to him, but I’m not attempting to completely debunk and make a fool of Swanky, which is what others are doing.
Blake Cummings you keep sayin that on everyones comment as if anyones saying anything bad
I actually already knew about this, I used to explore all of the levels when I completed the game and I was disappointed when all I found were 1-ups
Chuggaconaroy did it
I remember when I replayed Galaxy 2 earlier this year and found them. It’s incredible how much I can still discover in this game.

Mario Party 1 Tug o’ War: Am I A Joke To You???
Sorry man, but chuggaaconroy just disproved this entire video by getting those 3 one-ups in under a minute
I'm only here to flex and say that getting those 1 ups is REALLY easy.
The G O L D E N frying pan unbox
Not very worth it, the time spent getting those you can eat ice cream or something.
@@stf29 but is that reward greater than the flavor of ice cream?
But think of all the extra ice cream you could eat with three extra lifetimes!
@@Namadu7 oh you're right!
@@Namadu7 How could I be so foolish?
Profile pic checks out.
I think I have a vague memory of collecting these 1-UPs as a little 7 year old.
It’s really not that hard. It’s not even frame perfect.
Chuggaaconroy put swanky on blast here by proving him wrong about frame perfect jumps. Guess he unlocked the speedrunner in him i guess
Gage linton Indeed. Swanky is awesome, but dang is he wrong here.
I did it because i was currious it wasnt hard it just took forever
I don't care who proved who wrong, but I do care about you attacking someone over this thing when he _specifically_ told you _not_ to. Chuggaconroys's fanbase officially sucks.
@@gengarzilla1685 Woah. I'm not attacking him at all.
