    Hi Albert, I'm considering buying this very mixer and have been checking out various on-line tutorials. Yours is the first I've found that gives a hands on demonstration of set up between the console, windows and Studio One (which I also use). Well done. I will continue to check out your channel. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

    This is the best SQ- Windows video tutorial so far. Thanks a lot. I have the SQ-5 that I have been trying to use it with Reaper and a PC. Thanks.

    Can you tell me how to set the insert plug-in effect from Studio One in an SQ mixer?

    Thank you for this, please how can I do live mix on studio one and return to sq6 and livestream separately?

      Hello - it depends on how you want to send out to live stream. Are you using a switcher or OBS? I've done a video for that here - ruclips.net/video/v3t1xBascmQ/видео.html. You could use that technique also with Zoom (w/o OBS). Alternatively you could send your feed directly to your DAW but that might have significant latencies.

    I just bought a Midas M32 and connected to my PC running Pro Tools First. How do I setup my inputs and outputs so I can hear the music and start recording instrumentals and vocals?
    I have a studio setting, where each track is recorded one at a time, not as a live setting, where you can record multiple tracks at a time.

      Hi 12Indeed! I don't use either of those unfortunately - but the principle should be the same as i described. Look for I/O setup on your M32 in the Routing section and change accordingly. Similarly ProTools has a mapping section in Input/Output after you select the interface. They are both explained here ruclips.net/video/ebDRah0lrYE/видео.html and here ruclips.net/video/JhJRInPjfY8/видео.html. All the best!

    I need an explanation please, does it means that all the inputs are sending to Channel 9 as output?

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472  Год назад

      No. All of the inputs are going out through their respective channel configurations (1,2,3 and so on). Channel 9 is just a stand alone example for control room mic output (incoming 24, outgoing 9). Hope that helps.

    HI Albert, whats the maximum channel count you can have over USB to a DAW? My current cards only do 16

      Hi Harry - i get 32 with the SQ windows drivers. What do you mean by "current cards"? Do you have a stagebox in between?

    Hi! Thanks for the video! Question; how do you listen to your recordings? From the mixer master outputs R/L? Or from your computer? If you use the computer, how is the routing of the outputs in studio one? Thank you for any help!

      Hi Rober - there was too much to type so i did a video on that here :-) ruclips.net/video/yJBYcbkeuPE/видео.html.
      Hope that helps!

    Can you let me know how to increase the input volume when I making the recording in studio one, thank you!

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472  2 года назад +1

      Use the "Normalize Audio" option (right click the track) to first get the volume at a healthy level. After that you can use the Limiter tool on the main bus to increase overall to what you want.

    Why did you choose the Allen and Heath sq7 over the Presonus 64s? Would you like to share what reasons influenced your decision?
    Thanks

      Great question! Ironically I started with Presonus audio interface, wanted to upgrade to a multitrack digital mixer and bought the StudioLive mixer board. I had heard about quality issues with it, the cheap plastic etc. It indeed broke down within a year, without even moving it. The USB port wouldn’t send anything. Dealing with Presonus support was a major pain in the rear. I had a big recording coming up, since they couldn’t fix and send the mixer back in time and the reviews from AH were too good, I went for SQ7 - and then never regretted or looked back since. AH is WAY above Presonus - too many to list, they are on top of the professional league. IMO Presonus is for hobbyists - but for serious sound engineering you want something that won’t let you down with the build, features and sound quality - and therefore AH. I’ve fallen in love with their products ever since, they build them with a passion. I also own their wireless mixer - the QUSB. I didn’t even open the StudioLive board after they fixed it and shipped it, still there in the box after about 2 years. Hope that answers! 🙂

    Plz tell me what is difference between sq 7 vs si mipact sir plz

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472  3 года назад

      Hi Sanjay - they both are digital consoles with their own pros and cons. There will be plenty of differences i'm sure - is there a specific one you're looking for? Either ways, i haven't used the Impact so my answer may not be the most accurate. You can refer to their tech specs for comparison, there must also be separate YT videos on it.

    Hi ! I could not find the Multitrack recording from the studio one, can you let me know why, thank you so much!

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472  2 года назад

      Hello, you can select the "Create a new song" option from the landing screen or do "File>New Song" menu option from Studio One - both these bring up a dialog box with several options. One of those is "Multitrack Recording". Select that to get a preset multitrack recording setup, it's also the easiest way.

    Do you have the option of recording in 44.1 or 48khz?

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472  4 года назад

      Hi John - Studio One supports multiple sample rates depending on the audio device you pick. For SQ7, it supports both 44.1 and 96 but since SQ7 (at the driver default) is set to 96, the recording needs to happen on 96. The SQ7 console does show the ability to change this under Setup>Audio>Audio Sync but i've never tried it and not sure if it plays well (with the driver). Hope that helps!
