    I need an explanation please, does it means that all the inputs are sending to Channel 9 as output?

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472 Год назад

      No. All of the inputs are going out through their respective channel configurations (1,2,3 and so on). Channel 9 is just a stand alone example for control room mic output (incoming 24, outgoing 9). Hope that helps.

      I bought this in the US. You should have BM dealers in India. Before you buy, check out their website and ensure this is exactly what you are looking for - they must have an upgraded version or a different, and better product.

      Hello - it depends on how you want to send out to live stream. Are you using a switcher or OBS? I've done a video for that here - ruclips.net/video/v3t1xBascmQ/видео.html. You could use that technique also with Zoom (w/o OBS). Alternatively you could send your feed directly to your DAW but that might have significant latencies.

      Use the "Normalize Audio" option (right click the track) to first get the volume at a healthy level. After that you can use the Limiter tool on the main bus to increase overall to what you want.

      Hello, you can select the "Create a new song" option from the landing screen or do "File>New Song" menu option from Studio One - both these bring up a dialog box with several options. One of those is "Multitrack Recording". Select that to get a preset multitrack recording setup, it's also the easiest way.

    Why did you choose the Allen and Heath sq7 over the Presonus 64s? Would you like to share what reasons influenced your decision? Thanks

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472 2 года назад

      Great question! Ironically I started with Presonus audio interface, wanted to upgrade to a multitrack digital mixer and bought the StudioLive mixer board. I had heard about quality issues with it, the cheap plastic etc. It indeed broke down within a year, without even moving it. The USB port wouldn’t send anything. Dealing with Presonus support was a major pain in the rear. I had a big recording coming up, since they couldn’t fix and send the mixer back in time and the reviews from AH were too good, I went for SQ7 - and then never regretted or looked back since. AH is WAY above Presonus - too many to list, they are on top of the professional league. IMO Presonus is for hobbyists - but for serious sound engineering you want something that won’t let you down with the build, features and sound quality - and therefore AH. I’ve fallen in love with their products ever since, they build them with a passion. I also own their wireless mixer - the QUSB. I didn’t even open the StudioLive board after they fixed it and shipped it, still there in the box after about 2 years. Hope that answers! 🙂

      Hi Sanjay - they both are digital consoles with their own pros and cons. There will be plenty of differences i'm sure - is there a specific one you're looking for? Either ways, i haven't used the Impact so my answer may not be the most accurate. You can refer to their tech specs for comparison, there must also be separate YT videos on it.

    I just bought a Midas M32 and connected to my PC running Pro Tools First. How do I setup my inputs and outputs so I can hear the music and start recording instrumentals and vocals? I have a studio setting, where each track is recorded one at a time, not as a live setting, where you can record multiple tracks at a time.

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472 3 года назад

      Hi 12Indeed! I don't use either of those unfortunately - but the principle should be the same as i described. Look for I/O setup on your M32 in the Routing section and change accordingly. Similarly ProTools has a mapping section in Input/Output after you select the interface. They are both explained here ruclips.net/video/ebDRah0lrYE/видео.html and here ruclips.net/video/JhJRInPjfY8/видео.html. All the best!

    Have you used this mixer as an audio interface? Because I’m currently doing it and just the other day OBS is picking up such a faint signal from the mixer. Been reading lots of articles and watched a lot of videos. This almost answered my confusions. But that’s the question I’d like to ask. God bless 🙏🏼

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472 3 года назад

      Hi Adrian, i do. SQ7 provides an USB out that plugs into your computer for integration with any standard DAW, turning it into an excellent audio interface. I use it for my multi track recordings with Studio One (I have documented that end to end in a separate video). I never tried plugging directly into OBS - but that should not be any different - i just tried, and i see OBS showing SQ as an option for Audio Input capture. Stay blessed!

    you obviously bought the wrong product for your use case. you meant to get the atem mini pro instead, which will do all that you wanted.

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472 4 года назад

      Not true. If it was that “obvious” I would’ve returned it. I needed 4+ cameras that Mini doesn’t support, and a bunch of features they added later. The point is - both the lower and upper end of this product have these capabilities, so why not this one? Sounds like a bad business decision to me - so if anything it’s a product failure from BM. You can still make it work, but it’s quite painful.

    • @AmauryJacquot
      @AmauryJacquot 4 года назад

      @@themusicproject7472 it is obvious, as all atems up to a particular generation (ATEM Television Studio Pro 4K!) did NOT have standards converters on all inputs. the TV studio HD was introduced on february 6, 2017, while the tv studio pro 4k was born on april 9, 2018.

    Tnx for videos. How can we send multitracks from Studio One to SQ mixer? Like for a virtual soundcheck

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472 4 года назад

      Hi Muki - not quite sure I understand your use case well. I also don’t believe that is possible. To do that Studio One needs to send back individual tracks instead of sending a stereo out - which beats the purpose IMHO. Not something I’m aware of.

    • @zachandtomdad
      @zachandtomdad 3 года назад

      Yes you can and it is quite easy. Simply go the the I/O screen, hit Library, and select USB as the source for all of your inputs. On the DAW, you must output each track individually on a 1:1 basis as opposed to sending all the tracks to the DAW's stereo mix bus. For example, DAW track 1 will now output via USB channel 1 to SQ and so forth with all of your channels up to 32. When you play the tracks from your DAW, each track will come in on the corresponding channel of the SQ and will allow you to do a virtual soundcheck or to mix with the SQ.

    Do you have the option of recording in 44.1 or 48khz?

    • @themusicproject7472
      @themusicproject7472 4 года назад

      Hi John - Studio One supports multiple sample rates depending on the audio device you pick. For SQ7, it supports both 44.1 and 96 but since SQ7 (at the driver default) is set to 96, the recording needs to happen on 96. The SQ7 console does show the ability to change this under Setup>Audio>Audio Sync but i've never tried it and not sure if it plays well (with the driver). Hope that helps!

Yours is the first I've found that gives a hands on demonstration of set up between the console, windows and Studio One (which I also use). Well done. I will continue to check out your channel. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
