THANKS Andre!!! Between you, (god)Keith and Stijn I may yet outsmart my SQ. ;-) I got handed the Audio/Video keys, after volunteering for A/V duties at my new church for 3 weeks. Which was really 3 hrs. of looking over the old sound guys shoulder and being told to not touch anything w/o his permission. Your "training" vids have been super helpful, informational and funny(ie 1:10-1:15). THANKS again! D
Hi Andre, learning lots here on your channel. I have 2 questions. In church If i do a usb multitrack recording via sq drive of the main sermon, will it effect the sermon going on live streaming via output channel. Question 2 Is it possible only to record 1 input channel and leave the other channels out of recording when recording ro a usb via sq drive. How to do it ?
Ich nutze Samsung T5 und T7. Funktioniert zu 98% fehlerfrei. Wenn es besonders wichtig ist, schneide ich zusätzlich noch über meine Waves oder Dante Karte als Back Up mit
Hey Andre, I followed the steps and now I am able to playback from Logic to the SQ and at the same time use the SQ as an audio interface to record a guitar directly plugged in. But although I got a strong signal while playing into the daw, the result is poor: a very weak guitar + strangely a bleed of the drum signal on the same track - without having used any mics that could have caused this. Any ideas? I would really appreciate your hints!
thanks for this video, my question (what you are not showing in this video) when you are done with the virtual soundcheck in the venue, how to turn it back to mix the band live on the gig, regard Erik from the Netherlands
Hoi Erik, when you are in the inputsection of the I/O tab and hit the library button you´ll find the option to save you input settings. Just save a preset of your live inputs and you can recall it after virtuel soundcheck! Cheers, André
If you have (record) a mix of local and S-link inputs... when you later wanna go back to mix "live", the library option only has "local" OR "Slink" option.(+ the usb/IO). Do i need to change anything then or is it simply to stop the playback of the virtual soundcheck and "go Live" already patched???? (as before/during) the recording
When I try to record the main LR outputs - to a USB stick (SQ drive) stereo recording - I am not recording the main LR output. Just the first two input channels. how do I fix this?
Hi Andre! Good video! Question; is it possible to overwrite ... not overwrite but to record an extra instrument/channel on an existing recording? Let’s say I’m just one guy recording everything for virtual soundcheck, and let’s say I recorded the drum kit first, can I record the bass line later from a different channel but on the same file then the drum kit? Thanks for any help.
Hello, I'm French, sorry for my poor English, what is the type of the files on the USB stick ? .wav .mp3? can I give the USB stick to the group after the show?
Hi David, if you use direct outs, and not tie lines, you can set the direct out source to "post compressor". That way you´ll record record all the processing of the channel strip including the compressor. You can find find the global direct out setting by pressing the "routing" button under the screen, then click on "Dir Out" and set the direct out source there. Hope that helps André
Can u show us how to record multitrack in laptop without compressor and eq applied, last time i did recording and while editing I came to know that some of tracks are heavily compressed.
THANKS Andre!!!

Thank you for your posts, the very best I found for SQ . You should write the manual!
Awesome, once again, my friend, so helpful and friendly

Hallo ANDRE,
Welche festplatte nutzt du? Qu pulte waren da sehr anfällig. - ist das bei sq auch so?

Some bookmarks for me:
Set to USB SQ Drive 48K 0:53
Use Tie Lines 1:19
Das ist sehr hilfreich. Vielen Dank!

Hi Rober,
I´m pretty shure you can´t overdub on an SQ recording, like you can in your DAW.
Cheers

Hi Jérôme,
audio is recorded as wave files (.wav). Yes, you can give the stick to the band after the show.
Cheers

Hi Andre, what hard drives have you used for multitrack recording? Have you had any errors... skipping etc...?
Hi Bongo Ball,
I use a Seagate Backup Plus Portable Drive (2TB). I recorded 24 multitrack shows and one of them had errors. (Recording number 21).
Can u show us how to record multitrack in laptop without compressor and eq applied, last time i did recording and while editing I came to know that some of tracks are heavily compressed.
Hi Vicky,
are you using USB or an IO Extension card (like the WAVES or DANTE card) to record to your laptop?
@@AndreSchaier via mixer back USB to laptop, don't have IO card, it is more complicated...
@@tadadishoom4702 Hi Vicky,
