Hi there, great video and it explains the basics. Can you help advise, please? I've managed to feed the 32 rear inputs into my DAW (Reaper) which is great and I've worked out the DAW control. How do I then route the 32 DAW channels back to the desk on their individual faders?
The video and info is very good but the video quality is unfortunately to bad as the menus barely can be read. Please make the screens in these kinds of instructional videos full screen in the video so you easy can follow what menus you are actully configuring.
What if I have separate computer audio going into the Stereo L/R line in channels on the back of the SQ that I want to send over USB to Logic? I don't see the Str L/R options for output under the IP Output thru USB.
Video quality is very poor and so I can't follow what channels are routed to where. I"m using Metric Halo at the moment, which has comprehensive routing. I've also used PT hardware and Apogee and I've always been able to follow and figure out the routing but the Allen & Heath setup feels very different. Looks like a big learning curve for me anyway. Hope everyone else is getting on ok with it.
That made no sense at all what so ever. Show how to arm 1-16 xlr tracks to the daw. That’s what people want to know. How to arm the 1st track to match the first track in the daw ???? That’s what people want
You don’t necessarily have to set it up the way he did with his microphone input coming into channel 29 I believe it was. Also the Sq has more then 28 channels there’s a button on the left side allowing you to view the next set of channels. Depending which SQ series you have will determine how many channels your console has
Hello Seb Warren, the same way but in reverse. For this to work you computer will need a driver which let's Logic see the USB bus connected to the SQ5 as ASIO or Core Audio. The driver is effectively turning the SQ5 into a big sound card. Routing is assigned as one would normally do so, in the DAW and the sound card.

Hi. One question. Using Daw mode, can you use the mixer fxs like an SSL?
I'm wanting to use this mostly for effects... How is latency handled?

Will it work with QU series?

But what if you have more than 28 channels coming from your DAW, how the SQ is going to choose which one to control?

this concern is instead for the input/preamp quantities, the rest could have handled via usb, on this kinda barge i presume.
Not working on Reaper
Select "USB B" in the Setup-> Audio->USB menu is of course the answer
