Yes you can, you just need to make sure you choose QU on the Allen & Heath MIDI Controller. This video explains how QU/MIDI works ruclips.net/video/UcaSKkFJ94g/видео.html
I know this video is older now, but can I suggest the "background" music in this (and seems most video tutorials these days) is completely unnecessary and simply a distraction / nuisance. Thanks. Rant over... :)
This video apply to QU desks, too?
Will it work with QU series as well? Thanks

Are those steps applicable for the QU-16 too with a PC this time?
Yes, the MIDI Control software works with Qu as well.
On my DAW Control preference, the Input and Output port is the “-“ for me. It doesn’t match what yours says. Mine is the SQ7 mixer
Same problem, did you solved it?
@@pawel86a I know it was awhile ago, I don’t remember what the problem looked like before but I got it figured out
how did you rename midi channels to sq? I tried from the console and from the PC it did not work
It should automatically name the channel. I would check you are using the right protocol - Mackie Control Standard should transport the names over.

Hi. One question. Using Daw mode, can you use the mixer fxs like an SSL?
All I could hear is a cheesy organ and a drum machine. Couldn’t hear the instructions.

Please cut out that annoying background music!
Interesting info, barely audible over the atrocious background music.
