3:40 you might already know this by now but you can clear the vines by using a hylian pinecone/oil and shooting it with a fire fruit, as pinecone fires can even burn in the rain. It was how i completed it my first time, as I didn't see the building materials right next to the tower haha
I just left a flame emitter running until it literally caught fire in the rain. I then did that for every individual segment of the thorn patch. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
Here is a tip, if you need to burn things in a wet environment, use a pine cone or pepper; the enhanced flames can't be snuffed by precipitation. I used it to get access to a chest in the cistern below lake Hylia that was surrounded by thorns in a moist environment
3:28 "it eternally rains here" surprisingly, it actually doesn't, as when i went the this tower, it was raining as i didnt activate it, so i set up a campfire nearby and waited until morning, I did it twice, and then it wasn't raining afterwards, i do like the way you did it, it was very resourceful,
This video is _very_ well-made, you just got an incredibly well-deserved sub!! I hope your channel continues to grow a lot more in the future, you completely deserve it!
Stumble upon your channel by accident and I'm loving these type of video, +1 subscriber for you good sir! Can't wait for another wacky challenge videos in the future
Here are all the optimisations (in order that they are relevant to the video) I've found from my own/seeing others' playthrough of no abilities: 3:43 A single flame emitter will do the trick here. 3:55 Gerudo highlands tower is accessible if you JCC in the cave under it, and the IH onto the stairs OOB. Getting an autosave and loading it will put you back in bounds, inside the snowed in area, allowing you to activate the tower. 7:15 You can get past this section with a single rocket by riding on it. 7:37 You can save a bomb here by doing the shrine as nintended. 9:30 For the people who don't have Yunobo, bombs work just fine here. 12:33 You can glide from the top of the start of the shrine onto the metal block, allowing you to cross the gap damageless. 15:35 Once again, people without Yunobo, you can flip these switches by repeatedly hitting them with weapons. 15:51 You can use the vehicle seen at 2:40 to transport the crystal, or octoballoons and shooting the crystal. 16:08 There is an easy way! You can jump onto the ball apparatus thing with the crystal, and jump in front of the spring from there. Another thing to note about this, is that if the angle of the opening is slightly off, you can rotate it by hitting it, or even just standing on its edge. 16:41 Using some tech found by TheBoxLynx (who is also doing a very similar challenge) you can actually move these platforms somewhat quickly by repeatedly picking up and placing the crystal, if you face Link opposite to where you want to go. 18:13 If you go into bullet time, you can shoot the platform in front of you twice. It will fall and bounce in a way that you can climb and get over to the next section. 18:26 You can just hit the switch. As long as the ball is not over the edge of the hoverstone it will make it across (if it falls off you could also just use a bomb to blow it across). Link can get across by climbing the hoverstone on the left and gliding over. If you need more distance, go into bullet time, turn around and jump attack. 19:42 If bombs are causing you trouble, you can throw an octoballoon at it instead. 20:03 If you grab the barrel, you can walk over the seesaw and as you get halfway, start running and the barrel will weigh it down for you. This saves an octoballoon 20:07 You can actually lift it up if you put octoballoons on the seesaw and the metal blocks, but you need quite a lot. 21:00 If you smack the log up to the wall you can just climb up (that is if I remember correctly, it may not be possible and I may have used a wing shield here because I'm allowing that). 21:17 Throwing splashfruit or chu chu jelly will create more platforms, which is enough to get across. 23:50 You don't need glitches to make it though the gap in the wall. 23:42 By dropping shields you can angle the mirrors to solve the puzzle. Just some extra things to note: Update to 1.2.0! This allows quick smuggle which makes IH much easier. The glide suit is really nice for getting around, especially since you can preserve its speed by pressing b then x (cancel dive then glide). Also I was surprised that some shrines were not mentioned here, such as the Jirutagumac shrine. This can be done by waiting for the wing in the middle to respawn, and if you stand right in the middle of the circle, you can easily make it all the way to the other end of the shrine. There are other shrines with simple solutions that I think were missed, and I'll edit my comment when I remember them. EDIT: The Oromuwak shrine was missed. The last two sections can be done by throwing a rocket in the minecart, and jump in. Sometimes it will fling Link high enough to reach the end, if not, you could just rocketride. Riogok is a surprisingly easy one. The first room can be skipped by bombing Link through a gap in the wall where the left gear is. O-ogim can be done by spawning a wing where you're supposed to bring one over to, and then hitting it to give it some speed. Then it will fall into the water, and you can repeatedly pick up and place the crystal to get over to the shrine. 4:33 Moaikes seems to be missing from this list. Kurakat can be beaten with a single hoverstone and octoballoon place the hoverstone on the left side of the block. At 6 AM in game, drop one octoballoon on the hoverstone.
Thanks for all this! There's a bit too much to respond to every suggestion, but I appreciate it. I'm sure it took a lot of effort to write everything. I found TheBoxLynx after looking at the comment, and he does use runes in the overworld to make things easier, such as Fuse entangling, so our runs are somewhat different. His strategies might end up helping me for Part 2 though.

So far. I am in the Depths. And I do not have a map of the surface. At all.
I suggest that you use dropped fused items, as it is no different than using flying machines from the overworld.
Technically not all flying machines are built by fusing, specifically the ones made by the yiga, since they don't have fuse (or autobuild)
@@sinteleon That's besides the point. Also It's no use if they are in the depths. Also the depths isn't the overworld lol.
@@DDrag0n_Technically h could just say he got everywhere by raising a hover stone with octoballoons then chaining wings. Movement around the overworld is kind of irrelevant, so it doesn’t matter how it is done.
@@Fishy_17 I'm saying I approve of flying machines from the overworld, and that he should use fused items as it is the same case.
@@DDrag0n_ And I can’t read. Banning fused items adds further challenge though, while still keeping the run possible.
Oh no what about that rail one where you have to make a bunch of stuff with ultra hand? I couldn’t even figure that one out with runes, let alone without
I covered that one in an earlier challenge video; it's possible to just shield surf along the railings.
now do every single Lightroot without runes
That's simple.
3:15 cant you just throw alot of heavy weapons on the other thing?
Or place a hoverstone and activate it, then walk to the other platform and deactivate them with it with an arrow
Hello giga star🗿
