This week is a Synthesia piano tutorial - I'll be back with something new on Friday! :)
Impossible is the standout track of the new album UNLEASHED by Two Steps From Hell! It's by Thomas Bergersen and according to the composer, it showcases a lot of the styles that have been very influential to him. The whole track has a Celtic flavour and goes through the whole gamut, especially in the middle section which I'd describe as a jig with a rondo-like pattern. So you get the classic Two Steps From Hell sound with the orchestra, drums and choir, plus you get metal, some sweet electronic style with a massive synthesiser solo and the very distinctive Bulgarian choir Thomas used extensively in his solo album "Sun".
Overall the track was absolutely my favourite from Unleashed after just one listen through the album. I love it! So I did my very best to do it justice in this piano version.

Playing by ear can be tricky as you're the one creating the arrangement and want it to sound good. I often get stuck on the "making it sound good part", especially for lower level piano players like me, so thank you for giving me ideas on how to play these "impossible" songs effectively. *drops mic*. Keep up the tutorial videos!
This is how I play it: Listens to it. Looks at Synthesia. *3 seconds later *. SLAMS THE KEYBOARD NO WAY I CAN DO DIS.
Just slow it down and you can do it ;P
i gave up trying to figure out the rhythm at 1:30, ima just buy the sheet music lol

@@4tizzim0s right hand does the same as earlier and left hand is smashing chords every lefy octaves with semiquavers (sorry if I'm too late)
@@4tizzim0s Right hand is same rhythm as before, left hand octave quaver, then arpeggiated semiquavers, with the last as a quaver.

it looks easier than i thought! and you say the difficulty was advanced i have 2 keyboards (piano keyboards not computer keyboards) and i play like 2 different songs at the same time in synthesia unless i was going for a both hands 100% completion challenge that i like to do but usually i just like to have fun mixing 2 different things made by the same writer and see how good it sounds but im just bragging at this point. but i can't really do those things anymore because my dog destroyed both of my piano's... it was a sad time but im fine now.
Okay.... I think I'm gonna need more than 10 fingers to play this.
