If they made her more evil I’d understand but they tried to redeem her at the end
I think Miles ending works because the story is about him going from fanboy to fully realizing the weight of being Spider-Man. With Peter it’s just par for the course life teabagging him but he keeps moving with those little nuggets of hope he has.
It’s probably because of how overdone that trope is these days, but when I heard those lines I cringed more than anything, ngl. Actually, now that I think about it, not only is it overdone, but the point feels extremely forced tbh. If we’d gotten another game with Peter Parker and let his story conclude organically, perhaps Miles stepping up to the plate wouldn’t have felt so forced to begin with-which isn’t to say this game was terrible, nor is he a bad hero. But because we only got one game with Peter and now we’re getting a game with Miles-AND because this universe’s Peter is in more of the Spiderverse sagas, if you didn’t know that-we are already instantly thinking, “Okay, so he’s going to have his arc and he’s definitely not going to lose or die.” It seems kind of redundant to use the stereotypical “I am [insert title]” in a moment like that, like it’s overt self-gratification, and it really takes away from Miles’s big moment. I’m nitpicking, and you’re free to feel however, but... idk. I don’t feel it, personally.
I think the saddest part of the first game was the apology message to Peter, right before he turned fully evil. You could hear how much octavies cared for Peter. That’s what made this fight scene even harder because they did have a father son relationship almost.
Otto: Doesn't learn, attempts to forcefully shut down the company he hates the most, in the end goes to jail for trying Phin: Learns, attempts to forcefully shut down the company she hates the most, in the end dies in the attempt to fix her wrongs
really shows what the reality of spiderman is. sometimes you cant save everyone, even close ones. miles faces this dillema somewhat in phins death. but evetually he will learn this lesson in the future just like peter did
Peters ending hits different after finding out how much otto meant to peter, peter wanted to change the world and so did otto, but the neural interface corrupted him, peter idolized otto and saw him as a father figure, he really did care. But as we know, with great power comes great responsibility. I hope we get a great ending like that in spider-man 2

Both fights are great tragedy’s. Fighting friends, those who you loved and respected who became corrupted and twisted by their desires for vengeance. They fell into the abyss when they stared into it and were lost.
the one thing i love about both spidermen, is that whoever is writing the story, they almost always find a way to personally tie its villains into its heroes narrative in a personal way. miles or Peter more times than not will have a personal relationship with the villain in a way where it makes the climax emotionally satisfying. I think the best one in recent memory is the ps4 spiderman games story..the whole otto and Peter relationship is something most ppl can relate to, as well as have had a person in their personal lives that had the same kind of effect..alot of ppl have had a mentor or a parental figure they looked up to turn into something they are not, whether it be by circumstance or choice, someone who made out of Character choices or decisions that would hurt other people out of fear for something they CANT control.
Anyone notices that when Otto says "I tried to warn you peter nothing would had happen if you will just listen to me" same word that peter said to iron man in spiderman homecoming
And what's even more ironic is miles punching phin to the edge of a building is the defining moment where she snaps back to reality and realize that she's bouta nuke everyone
When Peter says "You knew" he wasn't saying it like a question he was saying it like "You knew and still tried to harm me" Edit: OMFG I've never been highlighted.

Yeah I think the first Peter’s older look made him look more mature and wise I guess you could say? Which only made the emotional lines hit even harder, as you know Peter had been through so much but this is still the hardest thing that he’s ever had to do.
Gotta say, even with how long it’s been since the remaster was released, I still can’t quite get used to Peter’s new face. I fell in love with the game for months and months playing a dozen times with the original look. Don’t get me wrong, the new one looks great and I think in some moments graphically, it’s a definite improvement. But for the scene after the big battle, the original one seemed a lot more emotive to me. Plus, if I remember correctly, the devs said that one reason behind the change was that this version made him look a lot more like the age he’s supposed to be (about 23, I think?) But to me, the boy looks no more than 17.
Peter is always said to have a baby face. Maybe that is what they were going for. I didnt like it at first too but it grew on me. I hope you give it a chance in the upcoming game. Thank you.
I'm 22 and I'm not much different from him tbh. Early 20s can look many different ways. I've friends who are balding, friends who are mountains of muscle and friends that are skinny and still look 17. Old peter looked more like late 20s or even early 30s. @DD Chittick I think it’s too soon for carnage. I see venom taking Mr. Negative’s role from the first game, then green goblin would take doc ock’s role in the final mission of the game. But saving green goblin for the 3rd game isn’t a bad idea.
I think people overlook the fact that both boss fights are essentially a battle against time, Mile's fight is a battle to stop a reactor from blowing up a city, which would also end up killing everyone else that he cared about. and Peter's Battle is a race to get the cure for dragons breath, the same virus that his aunt is suffering from. Both requiring them to also fight the people that they cared for.
Insomniac did a really good job with Miles suit being torn up & damaged after absorbing all that energy they’ve should’ve done that with Peter when he fought Fisk in the beginning
I love how Peter and Miles are so determined to save the city that they would die for it I mean look at Peter literally take a claw into his body and right after he takes it out he goes immediately for the anti serum and Miles just keeps on trying with all his electricity to stop the reactor
What miles did was more impressive considering he had to tank energy that could’ve wiped out a huge chunk of New York. Peter Parker’s last fight doesn’t even compare. Both are amazing and sad but after seeing both the original game and the dlc fully I got to say, Peters fight wins 10 to 1 on the emotional scale and on the fighting scale because of just how much the characters connected to see them go through this because of what they created. Gets me every time
@@broaverage445 yes it was the story was good it was just too short if was more unique than regular old Spider-Man and the fights were better too the only thing the first one has is better suits and a dlc
Peter’s ending cinematic‘s are much more heavy and emotional and it’s just some great acting from two amazing actors. That said...that boss fight sucked. Too easy and repetitive, you don’t even use a lot of the skills and gadgets you gained. Miles on the other hand...kinda the opposite problem. Don’t get me wrong, the acting from them is still awesome but...I dunno...didn’t really feel connected to these two as I did Peter and Ock. But that boss battle was pretty awesome. You can use a variety of skills or gadgets that can actually help during it, the effects on Phin during the fight look cool and it feels just challenging enough without being too annoying (IMO).
I’ll have to disagree a tiny bit I feel as if the miles fight was drawn out a lot and would’ve been probably better if it wasn’t as long because when I played it took so long to end but everything else I agree with the Peter and Otto fight was a bit of the same but the last fight at the end was probably the best fight out of them all not due to the gameplay but the meaning and emotion behind it and it just felt intense and sad.
That’s my main problem with miles morales though. Whenever Phin was there she always would outshine Miles (not to mention all the wokeness in that movie) like in the final battle where she sacrafices herself, that should have been Miles
Peter Parker‘s last fight was far superior, I enjoyed the DLC that was miles morales but it pales in comparison to the Peter Parker original Spiderman game. No contest Peter Parker all the way.
Miles can tell his uncle that they are done. But can't tell his best freinds who is gonna vaporize a whole city and kill hundreds of thousands of people they are done. Superhero logic
I think he was trying to appeal to Phin's better nature. He had faith in her. His had faith in his uncle too. However, he's been told for so long by his father and mother that his uncle was a bad man and to stay away from him. He loves his uncle so he has faith that if they give Aaron a second chance, he'll prove Miles parents wrong. Y'know what Miles got in return for his faith? Aaron manipulated him, lied to him, kidnapped and fought him. Miles trusted Aaron completely and was met with a BITTER let down. The line "I made so many excuses for you!" accentuates that point. I'll comment part two about Phin later
Part 2. Phin, prior to Miles finding out that Phin was the Tinkerer, was basically Miles's sister. His best friend ('sides Ganke). They were almost the person, they were young geniuses, goofy, and got into all sorts of trouble. There was even a hint of them being more than friends. Basically, all was that to say was that Phin was way closer to Miles than he was to Aaron. When he found out what happened to Rick. I bet he had a flashback to how he was and (still kinda is) when Jefferson was killed. He sympathizes and understands why Phin wants to do what she wants to do (even though she's wrong). Plus! He feels he is especially obligated to do everything in his power to preserve their dying relationship. That being because he is the reason why their friendship got tainted. With him lying to her to stop her from doing what she thinks is right. Him causing the Underground grief as Spider-man didn't help either. Another point being that he was willing to cut Aaron off because he saw him as a bad influence, which he was right, because Aaron's advice made things worse between him and Phin. Miles also knew that Phin didn't truly realize the change in reactor and still thought she was in the right. Aaron *knew* he was wrong and didn't care. That's what it comes down too, intentions. Phin was fighting to stop bad people from hurting people like her brother (in the process almost becoming just as bad or worse as the people she wanted to stop.) Aaron only fought for himself and his. Selfishness is not the way of the Spider-men. That's why I can understand why Miles was willing to cut off Aaron instead of cutting off Phin.
@@youngdiversity9860 basically they both were really close friends and miles believed that phin would realise that she is being stupid, but he and his uncle aren’t close at all and his parents weren’t either so that’s why
Interesting comparison between the relationship between the two Spider-Men and their final bosses: 4:12 Phin: "You were the one person I needed on my side!" Miles: "I am on your side" 22:32 Otto: "You should be on my side" Peter: "I was..." Circumstances were obviously different, but Miles holding out hope until the very end, even when all of Harlem is at stake is a nice comparison to Peter, who has been beaten down so much he can't take it and snaps. I wonder if that difference will be what results in the symbiote costume in the second game.
This perfectly shows why I'll always prefer Peter than Miles, the story here are similar, but the weights and emotions are completely different Miles doesn't lose that much, and he's loved by literally everyone, even his villain turned good and saved him, he has a easier life. Peter on the other hand, lost almost everyone he loves, had to fight multiple villains who all want him dead, betrayed by allies (Watanabe and Oc), and after all that he still lives in poverty and is hated by the media
Y’all tripping mlies fight wasn’t only much better but the build up to absorbing the nuke and then pain carrying mlies and telling him let go ready to accept death like that and being like a angel really hit different
is it wrong that in the end when otto was saying his sad speech that is legit one of the saddest moments in the game about how "men like us have a duty", i legit laughed for the whole thing because all i could think of was "men like us have a doody", im immature, fight me
One thing i love about peter vs otto is for a second, it almost sounds like otto is giving the "with great power comes great responsibility" speech, until the moment he goes and calls others their "lessers"
One of the things that broke me about the final battle with Otto was the phone call with MJ right before-Peter was asking if there ever was a time to give up on a friend. In the end, Peter made the hard choice, and it was the right one. Otto really was beyond saving.
Coming from someone who has played both games i feel they both went through a lot in the end miles father was killed and so was peters aunt. miles bestfriend sacrificed herself fixing her own doing. peter's trust was broken by someone he looked up to and hoped to one day be like which i feel is very emotional in a way since he saw otto as a sort of father figure and peter as a son to otto as he also says i feel for someone who is broken like that will stay with them. so they both equally had hardships and went through something heart breaking. but to me i feel peter had it worst since otto betrayed him making him put otto in jail and his only family died as well.
Man both of these games were so good I really hope we get the option to play as petter or miles in the second instalment of the first game or a Main story for Peter as the games based around him and a DLC for miles
I liked Miles' ending more because we connect to the characters so well! Phin was my fav character. Spider man Miles morales had an awesome story and characters. Peter's ending had more emotions but Miles one gave me goosebumps. These games are so good. 🔥 but in the end, they're all masterpieces
One thing no one talks about is the poetry in the miles game. The game starts with miles basically destroying the city while trying to stop rhino, then saying sorry to peter who just says “it’s ok.” Then it ends with phinn destroying the city and telling miles I’m sorry to which he replies “it’s ok.”
Both these ending made me cry. Otto was like god dam man. I felt that rage and fury inside me boiling for Otto. It’s so sad I don’t have words too truly express the feeling of emotion I had. Miles ending was a piercing in my heart.
Spiderman 1 is literally my favorite game, i like it more than spiderman 2 mainly because of this boss fight, and otto being the main villain was a big plot twist for me.
I find it impressive how miles managed to absorb that energy newform nuke and went hundreds of feet above New York to disperse and survived that fall onto his back and still got up and swung away like wtf😂
That part in Peter’s fight where Otto calls him by his name and he just snaps like “You knew? YOU KNEW THIS WHOLE TIME?!” Like if you knew who the fuck he was then WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO ALL THIS? That part was what sold me on Yuri Lowenthal being my new favorite Spidey. That boiling over anger just reminded me ever so much of some of his other characters.

@@gtvn2775 Peter helped build the arms that effected otto. He quite literally built his friends downfall and then wasn't there to help before it got to bad
Phin was just not that compelling I think they made her too nice like with otto we know he went crazy which is why he killed random people to get his goal but phin gave super high tech lethal weapons to kill random civilians to avenge her brother? If they made her more evil I’d understand but they tried to redeem her at the end
I think Miles ending works because the story is about him going from fanboy to fully realizing the weight of being Spider-Man. With Peter it’s just par for the course life teabagging him but he keeps moving with those little nuggets of hope he has.

Because I am controlled by a player who can't feel my physical pain!
@@Blyegh wtf did I just read?
I think the saddest part of the first game was the apology message to Peter, right before he turned fully evil. You could hear how much octavies cared for Peter. That’s what made this fight scene even harder because they did have a father son relationship almost.

Miles morales and peter parker finale is just epic
Can we appreciate how this looks it looks insane and how much effort they put in to both of these games it’s amazing =D

Miles ending is technically better but the end of Peter and ottos story has so much more emotion built in it’s amazing
Peter: *gets jumped by the sinister six and breaks 14 bones* also Peter: walks it off like nothing happened. Miles: *breaks 3 bones and acts like he's dying*
"Meaning I still have 192 non broken bones"
"...fair enough"
Bruhh, why do you have to be so dumb? He's still a newbie. Peter has been a spider man for 8-9 years!!
Miles withstand a nuke blast bro whats your point
@@adya0211 at what point did he survive an atomic bomb?
Peter’s ending almost made me cry.
Because Peter lost his aunt may 🥺. Kind of like how I lost my cat kip.
Both Marvel’s Spider-Men made me appreciate them more than ever now
Phin:vaporizing all of Harlem
Simon: oh hey battle royale my favorite
This shows the actual struggle the Spider-Men deal with
