Spiderman 2018 had one of the best stories in superhero games.. almost as good as the Arkham games, which is a pretty difficult thing to be better than. When it comes to superhero games, they rarely have stories that involve true loss or meaningful relationships. Spiderman 2018 achieved a good story while also making the game a really fun beat-em-up style game. Rewatching the cutscenes from SM 2018 reminded me that not many games in this genre are as good as this one was.

Ok I know it was a cutscene and I’ve never seen any gameplay, but Edge of Time looks absolutely unreal for a game made in 2011. Those graphics and lighting are insane, not realistic-looking like the graphics in something like Far Cry 6 or The Division 2 but this game was made in 2011 and I feel like they weren’t targeting realistic body structure or weight or whatnot, they were targeting the kinda “cgi” look and movement, and that’s an absolutely outstanding job for a game made in 2011.
