Can we all just understand how durable Miles is? He repeatedly gets hit with a lot of force (at most just getting knocked out). But here he fell from a high building and hit the ground on his back full force, then turned into a bomb, then fell from an even *higher* height landing full force, and he’s still alive

that’s not the intention, miles grabbed phin because most of her tinkerer gadgets were broken. by miles grabbing her and turning his back to the ground he would save her from falling, also in the amount of time they had before they fell if miles didn’t grab her ( and phin was closer to the ground than he was) he would’ve been able to catch him self but not getting phin, so when he did grab phin then he didn’t have enough time to catch both of themselves up so that’s why miles took the hit from the fall to his back. (i was js bored so 👩🦲)
To the people saying that Phin deserved to die: Yes, what she did was wrong, but her brother was murdered in front of her. She just wanted to hurt Roxxon, not destroy Harlem, that's why she sacrificed herself. She realized what she did was wrong and to her, that was the best way to redeem herself

I honestly love how they made it so the Spider-Verse suit seems to properly fit over Miles's head even when they're showing it, instead of going to a previous suit I really hope this applies to every suit

The part where Miles' mom came to him worried that he was dead made me cry. Miles has a passing reassemble to my friend who passed away when he was 19. His mom was the first one to rush to him after the accident but it was too late.

Miles In The First Game: “It’s Easy For You To Say, But I can’t do what you do” Miles In The Second Game: Legitimately Taking Down A Power Hungry Enforcer By Himself
I loved the dynamic and story around Miles vs Phin and Miles’ Dad vs Uncle Aaron. It was clear both relationships were a mirror of each other and Miles learns about his dad and uncle’s relationship as he goes through similar drama with Phin. At the end it’s awesome to see Miles and Uncle Aaron both alive and kind of on the opposite side of that relationship dynamic, both hoping to resolve their differences and not let what happened to their other relationship happen between them.
Miles at the end of explaining what happened in the final fight: so then after i beat up my friend, I turned into an atomic bomb and my friend had to take me up in the sky. then I exploded and killed her. so basically, it's kind of a big deal. peter: Kinda a big deal? YOU TURNED INTO A BOMB! big deal miles! big deal!

I really love this ending, this was such a great Spider-man moment. Miles really earned his webs, and I really like the line of: "He's OUR Spider-man."
I resent it. "Our Spider-Man"? Well, this is why they created this test-tube character in the first place: to pander. I have nothing against the existence of "Miles Morales." When I was little, I thought it was cool that a Black Lightning existed with a storyline of an actual man and not just the superhero. They should have made Miles Morales a superhero unto HIMSELF, with his own powers and his own origins. If I were Black or Puerto Rican or both, I would be embarrassed by this need to feast on table droppings and call it a banquet. Miles could have taken on the powers of some insect native to Puerto Rico or from some other phenomenon from the Caribbean, either from geography or from a cultural mythos (what, I have no idea). That would have been more authentic than a cloning of a Spider-Man. To me, this is like going to a house owned by White people and squatting in it. How much dignity is there in that? The Black Panther is looked upon a character with a lot of dignity. What dignity is there in a borrowed fantasy just to pretend to satisfy a racial need? To me, there is a lot of value in "Get your OWN superhero." And people from the Black and Puerto Rican demographic should say, "Let's do just that."

A kid that many of these folks know and see, as a person. They saw this kid with great power showing acceptance of his great responsibility in a selfless way that none of them could have dreamed would happen. Spider-Man is the street hero of New York. When people are in trouble, they know the Fantastic 4 won't stop their muggings. Avengers won't help them. Daredevil exists only in Hell's Kitchen. Spider-Man is the home hero. Heck, Miles could have Dog powers and he would still be their Spider-Man because he's a great hero who came from their community and actually cares about the people on the streets. That's the message I took from that moment.

It does get damaged. in the final boss,just not this suit. I think it only does for certain suits. Because I was using the programable matter suit and it did get damaged.

this ending reminds me of the train scene in spiderman 2 where the people find out who spiderman is and promise to keep his identity a secret. also this ending has a way more emotional impact than far from home

Phin was reminded of her brother when miles tried to stop the bomb, so for being weak before to save her brother and now strong with her makeshift power, she saves everyone including miles. So it makes sense why she couldn't just throw miles.

When Rick sacrifice himself to stop the nuform he died trying and Phin told her self in the mind (I think so) "I will finish what Rick did" and grabbed Miles and went into the sky and died. Damn.

I really love this ending, this was such a great Spider-man moment. Miles really earned his webs, and I really like the line of: "He's OUR Spider-man."
I resent it. "Our Spider-Man"? Well, this is why they created this test-tube character in the first place: to pander. I have nothing against the existence of "Miles Morales." When I was little, I thought it was cool that a Black Lightning existed with a storyline of an actual man and not just the superhero. They should have made Miles Morales a superhero unto HIMSELF, with his own powers and his own origins. If I were Black or Puerto Rican or both, I would be embarrassed by this need to feast on table droppings and call it a banquet. Miles could have taken on the powers of some insect native to Puerto Rico or from some other phenomenon from the Caribbean, either from geography or from a cultural mythos (what, I have no idea). That would have been more authentic than a cloning of a Spider-Man. To me, this is like going to a house owned by White people and squatting in it. How much dignity is there in that? The Black Panther is looked upon a character with a lot of dignity. What dignity is there in a borrowed fantasy just to pretend to satisfy a racial need? To me, there is a lot of value in "Get your OWN superhero." And people from the Black and Puerto Rican demographic should say, "Let's do just that."

But it was more the feeling of a community rallying around a kid that they feel can represent the best of humanity and themselves. This was, at the time, Miles at his most selfless. These folks know nothing about the real Spider-Man, not his personality outside of hit pieces, not skin color, not politics, etc.
Here, they had a kid. A kid that many of these folks know and see, as a person. They saw this kid with great power showing acceptance of his great responsibility in a selfless way that none of them could have dreamed would happen. A kid who comes from their roots, whose father died for their community, whose mother is dedicated to helping their community.
Miles is, no matter what anyone wants to name him: Their Spider-Man.
Even if he was named Arachnid Warrior, they'd have said the same line. No matter what, he is THEIR Spider-Man. Their hero. Their local boy. It's not even skin color, it's the community. Spider-Man is the street hero of New York. When people are in trouble, they know the Fantastic 4 won't stop their muggings. Avengers won't help them. Daredevil exists only in Hell's Kitchen. Spider-Man is the home hero. Heck, Miles could have Dog powers and he would still be their Spider-Man because he's a great hero who came from their community and actually cares about the people on the streets. That's the message I took from that moment.

@@wardy6224 true they’re similar but in Spider-Man 2 for instance the people helped him because he helped save them and they realized that he was a hero and more importantly just a kid. In this it feels more relatable, for instance they are all one neighborhood they’ll see each other more likely each day and they bond with each other more likely the next day making greater bonds and protecting each other. In Spider-Man 2 the people come together to help the person who helps them, in the game they help him because he’s one of them, like the guy said “that’s our Spider-Man”

I.e he told genki , he told phin , he for some reason went home and let his mom find out when he could have asked genki to take him to his house instead then at the end he took his mask off abd 5 people saw him without it
this ending reminds me of the train scene in spiderman 2 where the people find out who spiderman is and promise to keep his identity a secret. also this ending has a way more emotional impact than far from home

I mean that explosion looked pretty huge, even if she fell back down, it’s still possible she would’ve gotten hit in the shockwave, rendering her unconscious or screwing with the tech on her shoes and leaving her to die
Phin was reminded of her brother when miles tried to stop the bomb, so for being weak before to save her brother and now strong with her makeshift power, she saves everyone including miles.
So it makes sense why she couldn't just throw miles.

When Rick sacrifice himself to stop the nuform he died trying and Phin told her self in the mind (I think so) "I will finish what Rick did" and grabbed Miles and went into the sky and died. Damn.
