Wow, m'man, I've tried and never got it 100%, but you- we're talking an Actual Man here. As a woman (born and XX) I can say in honesty that you are the kind of Man a woman wants. Smart, strong, good-looking, capable of figuring life out and able to share your knowledge, and willing to make life better no matter the situation you're in. I'm happy just to watch (😉) as I'm sure a bunch of women are, but I always pick up some "life knowledge" from you that I really appreciate. I hope I'm conveying how much I appreciate your time and knowledge, and I pray God blesses you deeply and continually!! Thank you!
Great video! I really like this one for several reasons .... 1) Anybody can build this, big burly man, petite lady, a kid, heck, even a crippled old fat geezer like me! .... 2)100% natural, walk away knowing that when it rots and falls in there will be nothing left behind that wasn't there when you got there, no wire, no nails, no cordage, nothing! .... 3) With a little maintenance as needed, one could stay there for a while. If need be, a few days, a week, a month, who knows? .... 4) Easily expandable, if need be. There seems to be plenty of materials close by. 5) Concealment. I believe someone could walk by within 10 feet of this shelter and never know it was there! Good job, Corp. Kelly! Thank you for your effort!
Glad to see the "Corporals Final Thoughts". My wife and I always liked that. Great video as usual. nice to see someone walking the walk, not just talking the talk. We learn a lot from you.
I like the fact that he looks for or fashions a rake instead of using his foot and boots like so many others. One, it takes longer to clear, and two, there may be a snake under those leaves. Work smart, not hard.
There's nothing wrong with ramein a little jerky or Slim-Jims won't fix! Final thoughts are always on point, Shawn. Good expedient shelter, a bit of ventilation, might have helped the humidity problem? But a shelter anyone can build, with a little thought. Good one! 😊
Hardcore. You're putting in that work out in the bush and in front of the editing tools!! Thanks for keepin on keepin on with the videos that give us an idea what to expect from the different types of shelters.
Good to see “Final Thoughts “ again. I just watch the time counter to see if there is anything extra toward the end. Nothing wrong with cup of soups and they keep for ever. I will use them at home as a base for what I call augmented cup of soup. Use chicken broth in a large bowl, add extra ramen noodles, some mushrooms, frozen mixed veggies and a sliced hard boiled egg stuff it in the microwave And you got yourself a big bowl of soup.
Now that was refreshing to hear! Just get the gear, any brand, make the trip, and get it done. It was good to hear "Corporals Final Thoughts" ! It's been awhile. Great video!
I always love the final thoughts!!! I have wanted to see this or a similar shelter done in the rain and wet weather from start to finish so yeah, I enjoyed this one a lot. Thanks sir for all the work and effort!!! As always OUTSTANDING AF!!
Well it's about time you had the afterthoughts. It's getting a little hard for me to get out there now that I'm 73 but I still do get out from time to time and nowhere near as often as I would like but I'll follow you so as to keep my knowledge as fresh as possible. I just want to say thanks, I don't always leave a comment but I do watch as often as possible. Stay vigilant my friend
Great advice to the new RUclipsrs. Adults are visual learners. I learned this as an instructor for my job. If you speak for a short time and then demonstrate a skill, the students get way more from the demonstration than the lecture. Balancing both is the key to a successful class. And keep the lecture interesting. Offer analogous commentary to the subject. Being an expert in your field is invaluable. Offer perspectives from experience. I truly did enjoy teaching, even though I got into it late. Great advice. Hoping to meet you before long in a future class!
Enjoyed seeing your take on using what is around you with a few well-chosen pieces of kit. A lot of valuable take-aways in this work. Thank you for sharing your time, work and skills knowledge.
I loved this video, Shawn! It brought back a lot of memories of my childhood in Michigan. My cousin and I would be in the woods as often as possible, and we built debris shelters and made stuff off the landscape. Nice to see a "Final Thoughts" make an appearance.
We love the foil packs of chicken in packs! A great addition to many meals, and easy / light to carry! Simple principals once again proven to be effective! Thanks!
So glad to see that the corprals final thoughts is back!! Always good words of wisdom. Good luck with your future endeavors we haven't learned about yet. Can't wait to see what you have in store for us.
I have been watching your videos for the as long as you have been making them and I love the direction you chose to go in. You have inspired me in my life and given me so much that I cannot explain. Thank you and continue the great work.
Placed my orders for the J-hook!! Looking forward to it!! Nicely done with all the handmade forging brother!!! You got quality craftsmanship I support you brother 110%❤❤
Great video once again! Most debris shelters I've tried have leaked water. Until I figured out that they have to be vertical. I stood up boughs vertically and added leaves over those. The water that did make it to the boughs, dripped straight down. Yes on the outside bottom there was water but draining it away is easy with a stick or shovel. Great video, great final thought! Go do it! Get er done!
My friends and I used to make shelters in the woods during our teen years. Spruce logs, Paracord, fluffy boughs and leaves. The inside, a carpet of boughs inside to lay a ground sheet on. Very comfortable
I actually love this video basic, nicely done and nothing but facts and Truth, as always the corporal always says the right thing and does the right thing keep doing what you do sir, I'll always be here till the final thoughts, that's a nice way to go back to the good stuff👍👌✌️I've missed the final thoughts portion... my opinion is if you're not watching to the end, you're gonna miss something...😎🙈🙉🙊

I like the honesty on the shelter . As far as terrain , I know what you mean. I hunted deer Meigs County . The land owner use to say it's the only place you can walk downhill never fall down and still end up with mud on the seat of your britches.

I appreciate all of your signature sections CPL Kelly. Thanks for continuing to crank out solid content!
I like final thoughts
Glad to see the "Corporals Final Thoughts". My wife and I always liked that. Great video as usual. nice to see someone walking the walk, not just talking the talk. We learn a lot from you.
Thanks for being about it instead of just talking.
Good video corporal, thanks for not pretending that shelter was the best as some others might.
Thats what i like about this channel paul im the same if it doesnt work i wont pretend it does lol it is what it is 😊
That poncho has been put through the paces.
If it ain’t raining we ain’t training.🌧️🌧️
I love it when you create shelter out of what you have on your back and what's in the woods.
final thoughts great advice. never skip the end
I love when you do a final thought.
I like the fact that he looks for or fashions a rake instead of using his foot and boots like so many others. One, it takes longer to clear, and two, there may be a snake under those leaves. Work smart, not hard.
Very good point 👍🏼
Another great video with the rain I bet it would be humid.
Great job on the shelter, Corporal. Good to know that the leaves can actually keep you dry. Thanks for the video and tips. 👍🏻👍🏻

Nice build! I love it when you use the stick for a rake.
Glad you had the final thoughts
Love the return of the bushcraft rake!!
Rock climbing, bushcraft, and rainman all in the same video!!!
Points for Charlie Brown. “Get out there and get the kills” that is all we must do. 👍🏼
That rake acts as a tool and a safety precaution between you and a snake or poisonous spider
❤
Thanks for another great video. Nice to see a final thoughts at the end again.
