Always loved her even to this day She described herself as "a white Hungarian Jew from Australia sounding like a 65-year-old black man from Alabama". Renée Rebecca Geyer (born 11 September 1953) is an Australian singer who has long been regarded as one of the finest exponents of jazz, soul and R&B idioms. She had commercial success as a solo artist in Australia, with "It's a Man's Man's World", "Heading in the Right Direction" and "Stares and Whispers" in the 1970s and "Say I Love You" in the 1980s. Geyer has also been an internationally respected and sought-after backing vocalist, whose session credits include work with Sting, Chaka Khan, Toni Childs and Joe Cocker. Peace out.

Renee Geyer is a well-known singer from Melbourne, Australia. One reason that she didn't 'make it' in the USA is that the music people there did not want to present her as a white singer ie. would not allow her photo on the sleeve of the LP. and wanted to pitch her to the black community. That is reverse racism. She refused that idea. She has a great voice. The song, 'It's a Man's World,' LIVE, is an excellent display of her wonderful talent.

She was a session singer in the US for a long time. I was about 10 when I first heard this on the radio 1420 3XY. Those were the days!

We all make mistakes and the hope is that our mistakes are fixable and that we can eventually learn from them. Those that dont make mistakes treat the truth very carelessly. (Tell lies)

Rollen, we can see you and hear you. I got emotional at what u said, nearly even teary, happy emotional.
I’d say most who watch you and Angie and I’ve said it to you before, just after I found you both, you can tell you are both a beautiful loving honest couple. Some reviewers I can’t watch even for things I really like, to me, they seem fake to the point I have to stop watching. Just keep being yourselves. I haven’t heard song yet. Stopped vid when u stopped talking. Now I’ll listen 😊

This is Australian song by Garry Paige and Mark Punch, and first recorded by the Johnny Rocco Band in 1975; but was made famous by Renee Geyer later that year, and became Renee's first hit single.

Hey Rollen. I subscribed when I first watched one of yours and the lovely Angie’s reviews a couple of weeks ago. I could see immediately that you are super highly intelligent and as such, you have strong and perceptive opinions. You’re also very straight forward and perhaps not inclined to sophistry. This is always not going to sit well with everyone and that’s ok. You don’t need to appease people who can’t be wise enough to not have to agree on everything. It’s an impossible task anyway. 🤷‍♀️ Just do and say what you feel in your heart is right. There are plenty of us who do and and as your channel grows, will appreciate your particular brand of sharp intellect spattered with a bit of cheekiness and cameos from sweet Angie where possible. Speaking personally, I’m enjoying your show. Thank you! 💐
I’m in the middle of nowhere surrounded by cattle too except mine are beef cattle and there’s heaps of roos around as well. 🙂

We got beef cattle all around us as well - I'm so happy for this comment and all the great complements - I'll keep being myself for sure, it's why I started. I love music, but I wanted to try and make real connection with people all over the world. Kind of like this moment right now - it's all I wanted and is working out very well. Thank you for being along for the ride. I think the roos are crazy and funny and I watch YT clips as they creep around people's homes. Thank you so very much!
