Yes it’s John Farnham. The greatest male vocalist of all time, even at this young age. Such maturity and passion in his voice, agility and emotion. Awesome.
This is my all time favourite Little River Band song Whether sung by Glenn Shorrick or Farnsey, doesn't matter both are brilliant . The song is also my go to song when I'm stressed or feeling low, I sit quietly by myself with my headphones and listen to the images painted in lyrics that remind me of ocean cruises and island holidays I spent with my late wife in exotic places with ocean views, I feel calm and at peace . If you had told me , a grumpy old Aussie bloke who gets pissed off with just about everything these days that a song could make me feel that way or even express that feeling publicly , I wouldn't have believed you , but it does thank you for playing it and lettig me rant .

Still to this day one of the best concerts I've ever been to was LRB with John.

I haven't seen/heard this version with Farnsey. The harmonies and arrangement demonstrate that whether it was John or Glenn, LRB were a bloody good band. Love it.
LRB were a special band & a special lead singer in Glenn Shorrock. They had deep roots in Australian music. John Farnham was a good fit as lead when Glenn left but long-term it didn't work. John went solo again & Glenn returned.The rest,they say,is history.Glenn was lead in a great Aussie group "The Twilights" before & leading into LRB. Oh magic days !
Not much snow in Australia. Sydney today was 22c approx 71f (a warm winter day) Spring starts in September.
I love this song, John's version and Glen's version. LRB was an incredible band no matter who the lead singer was. Such a shame that by the time John joined the band was in self destruct mode and his experiences there were not pleasant ones. We Two is another great LRB song featuring John.

He had not yet discovered his high belting voice, he didn't use his falsetto very much as he considered it weak.
John just adds so much extra flavour to the standard line up of LRB. All those little vocal runs, and deviations from the regular delivery, the sweat pouring from him and little hair shakes and the odd daggy but weirdly cool moves. When he shuts his eyes and gets lost in the song...you know hes about to deliver.
Glenn provided more of the definitive easy listening style and sound of LRB and much as i did like LRB back in the early days....I prefered the little extra spice john added to their sound.
Nice one Rollen, glad that you got it, Farnham singing cool change but different again. You can tell he loved singing this song.
Hi Rollen, great reaction, John is fantastic here, hair shake and all. However, I prefer the LRB version with Glenn Shorrock. There is something that I can't describe in Shorrock's versions. Perhaps, as the songwriter, Shorrock has more of an internal feel for it. That's just my experience of the song, I'm not bagging Farnham's fantastic version, but I prefer Shorrock's interpretation.
Also, we are mid-winter here and it is still snow season in our southern eastern states. Fun fact, Australia gets more snow annually than Switzerland (ok, we have a much bigger alpine region, albeit at lower altitudes, but we get more snow haha).
You can't go wrong with the little river band. The band did go through personnel changes but managed to keep the sound. You should do the song cold as ice. Peace ✌️ 70s version.

I think it's safe to say outside of faking my way around the channel, life has had some ups and downs - I hope I can get back to some of the music everyone loves. I also hope to get Angie back, it's just so unbalanced at home right now. Just starting today to claw my way back. This year will be better than the last. Just wanted to start the update process.
