      Sure. You're right about Matt's good side. But do you think Matt is "slow" or just "kind of dumb"? No, you don't. You just complimented his insight and intelligence. Again, you're correct. So why did he get so close to the turtle's mouth? With Kenan repeatedly warning him to back away? Matt stuck Kenan's camera "in range" just to see the damage. Kenan kept cool while his camera got chewed. If you were Kenan, would you want Matt to watch your back in an alligator pen? Yeah, no. I got a problem with Matt's dark side. It just reeks of an unemployment check.

    I appreciate Matt for two reasons. I love that you can really move and explain without having to handle the camera. I also enjoyed his questions.

    You made me LOL with that Sparta thing!! I love it when you're in "teacher" mode. Some ppl think you're being weird but this channel is about education. You are also teaching Matt so things may seem a little different to others. You're an incredible keeper and educator. I learn so much and my grandson loves watching you. Thank you Kenan.

      I maybe was the only person who picked the Behemoth Gator Snapper as my favorite Kenan shelter animal during recent survey. I like the common snappers too, especially the new girl that was sunk in the mud in recent video, named little dudette.

    Your excitement to educate and be around your animals really reminds me of Steve Irwin in his early days in aus tv. I great up and went to school near Australia Zoo so have watched it evolve through the last few decades.

    I was always told they call them gator snappers because they are often found near gators. Scavenging for scraps ect. Also because of the osteoderms.

      @@theflyingdutchguy9870 yeah the osteoderms do resemble them kind of. My gramp grew up in the everglades and he always told me it was because they hang near gators. Kind of makes sense too because about 75% of the time when I saw gators, alligator snappers were close by

    Another great video, very educational, I am glad no one was hurt, and I am sorry about the camera, but that was awesome lol,we were actually in the mouth of a gator snapper lol,great questions Matt, I am so happy you ask them because it's questions alot of us have and can get answers right away, I appreciate them Matt so keep asking them please, and Kenan is very knowledgeable, can't wait for the next video!

      Yeah, I don't think Kenan NEEDS only Matt to ask intelligent questions. I say it takes one to know one. After all, a person needs to be intelligent, to be able to recognize someone else's intelligence. So frankly, I think you and all the others in here who are complimenting Matt... any of you could be as good as Matt. But I trust you more than I trust Matt. Matt ignores your warnings, and breaks your camera, just to watch it happen, and doesn't say "sorry". What would happen if you broke your boss's gear WHILE he was telling you not to, and then just sat there chuckling with no apology? Seriously? Matt's doing a great job? Go ahead. Post a video of you breaking your boss's stuff right in his face.

    Kenan, that probably named them alligator snappers because of the jaws like you said but gators also have those scutes or dermal ridges along their backs which the turtles have on their carapaces and these turtles have long tails like you said and so does an actual alligator. Maybe that is why they called them alligator snappers because of those three features. These are my favorite animal on the planet. 🐢👍🏼

    I live in upstate NY and a few weeks back spotted a snapping turtle basking on the black top side road, of course it's rather busy so I used a cleaning tool to nudge him or her back to the small lake, it took over 20 minutes but finally returned to the water, I was so happy since a fuel delivery truck came barreling down that very road, so I saved the snapping turtle, 😀❤

    I have the last Iguana from Tom Crutchfields farm! It's doing very well 😁It's a key lime Albino, a new unproven morph. It has a very nice key lime green tint to the skin. I hand feed him twice a day and he basically comes running when it's time to feed 🤣😁

      Like Kenan said snappers aren’t aggressive in the water, they look to escape and won’t actually bite until you take them out. I wouldn’t want to test this theory however...

      Matt would be near perfect if he didn't break his boss's camera while his boss was repeatedly asking him to back away. Matt just essentially ignored his boss, broke his GoPro, and chuckled in Kenan's face with no apology. So what would happen if you did that to your boss? Kenan sure knows how to keep his cool.

    Without Evolution By Natural Selection nothing would make sense. The way animals have evolved to fit into their environments, via external pressures, is my favorite thing to study. Kenan, I think you’re right. The human animal has divorced itself so much from external pressures, we have lost many of the senses we used to use out of necessity. Great video!     Remarkable Turtle. The shell is unique as well as the lure in her open mouth for prey. I really am interested in the Alligator Snapping Turtle and other Snapping Turtles.

    I live in minnesota and they are not protected because it is thought they can't survive the cold long enough for spring to come and open up the waterways. So I bought two and keep them as a pair, they are very interesting. But some locals have said theres a hidden alligator colony that lives in a gravel pit near a swamp. Even pointed out thealligator snapper over my common which is really interesting.
