@@pieterduplessis6906It’s a shame because for a simulator of such high quality with the capability to run high fidelity addons like the Fenix 320 and PMDG 777, we are still getting half baked low effort aircraft like this after 5 years of it’s existence.
@@pieterduplessis6906 I don't always "bring out the shame". I do when I feel it's warranted. And I do feel it is warranted now. This is obviously a rushed, unfinished product which they have advertised as good quality, detailed plane during development. It clearly is not (in this state anyway). The Max (if you mean the iFly one) can't be compared to this, that's obvious to anyone from screenshots already... And yes, I'm not forced to buy it. And I won't. Just as I won't ever buy anything again from Aerosoft (even if it's a Jo Erlend airport or whatever). I am not supporting this kind of business practice in any way.
Yeah. That's why they tried to release early. I told the devs myself, if they're doing to delay and expect to be alongside the inbuilt, their offering will really have to be a cut above. It's not. There is zero reason why I won't wait until inibuilds and see what they have.
I feel like a number of the legacy developers have become complacent and stuck in their ways assuming that what they put out 10-15 years ago is still worthy of a premium price tag today. Most of the top notch aircraft in MSFS seem to be from relatively new developers who are hungry to make a name for themselves and understand how to fully utilise MSFS 2020. Sure we are spoilt these days no doubt, but if the bar is raised by one then the others should keep up if they want to remain relevant. You should always aim to eclipse your last product otherwise what's the point?
Im truly dumbfounded by this release. Many of us have waited and anticipated this release. This is almost beyond words. Im absolutely done with Aerosoft. They wont get another dime from me.
Such a shame there’s no decent A330 for the sim. I know we have the headwind but its cockpit is just horrendous. LVFR have released their A330-200ceo which is better than Aerosoft which is hard to believe. Just sucks we have to buy a whole new simulator to get a decent A330.
@@holobolo1661 100% agree, they really limited more sales with that collaboration. I know LVFR wants to have the same level of automation and features that FBW has but they’re so far behind. @@holobolo1661It was a horrible decision which they backtracked on, but it was already far too late. Horizon has declined any further collaboration with LVFR. Huge shame.

Could Fenix just release an A330 already? Just give it the exact same systems as the Fenix A320 and only change the model, that's literally all I need.
Well looking at the previews before, there was a difference cabin, but it's most likely not done yet, they needed a bit of money and to put it on 2020 before MSFS24 as 24 has a330s as default
Bit of a shame, you should check out the Bravospace 788. Its flight model feels better than the kuro and has a custom model. Love to know your thoughts
I think you were very kind and a bit too reserved in your opinions of this. 4 years in the making and with a grant of almost 500,000 euros from the German government and this is what they produced? Not everyone wants or needs "study level " aircraft but anyone buying this and thinking thats what they are getting from Aerosoft will be sorely disappointed. Other youtube channels have been a bit more direct and advisory. Even A330 Driver, who credits Aerosoft with providing him with the employment that allowed him to finance becoming an airline pilot gave a sobering review.
You were way too kind on this one. I don't want to completely trash it, because like you pointed out, it has a bunch of good points. Visual model is pretty good, sounds are decent. Systems depth seems acceptable for the price (apart from the lack of hold functionality). I find it interesting that you didn't mention the totally abysmal cabin interior. That is a complete joke. I think what bothers me the most though is even though they said it's an A to B, point to point aircraft, it can't even do that right now because of the number of bugs with the autopilot. This has been rushed out in order to get it out before the iniBuilds A330 coming in 2024. I can't think of any other reason why they released this early.
As a real a330 pilot, I can tell you that this is a complete trash even from the systems modelling point of view, and clearly it is not worth the price. 75% of the plane is not working as it should. This is simple as you don't have an A330 in your hand when you load that thong. That is it.
Right now the state of this aircraft is clearly unacceptable, as unfortunate as this may be. It really seems line Aerosoft rushed this out, thereby neither helping the simmers nor themselves. We all lose.
Bought the A330 base pack earlier today-yes, it's disappointing so far and needs a plethora of improvements to bring it up to the standard of the P3D A330 which I enjoyed but I was able to do a quick flight in the A330 out of Fly2High Valley International Airport-KHRL and handling with my TCA sidestick is A-OK. Yeah, the cabin is awful and an afterthought just like with Aerosoft’s own CRJ unlike the excellent cabin of say the iFly MAX 8 or even the JF 146 Professional which at first too had an awful cabin but Just Flight redid the cabin and now it’s nice! Me? I do like virtual cabins even ones with virtual passengers seated like with LatinVFR’s Airbus or the seated passengers on supported planes with GSX Peo but most of the time for me, I’m focused on daily A to B operations in the virtual cockpit. I mainly use GSX Pro for my pushback needs but the A330’s EFB pushback screen is handy in a pinch. I’m looking forward to MSFS 2024 and its ini made A330.
Their MSFS track record with aircraft is ....... Not good. I'll be avoiding this in favour of the MSFS 24 one. When I decide to get it. Which will not be for a year or so post launch. I want to see and make sure that the hundreds of add-ons I have will work in it, and I won't be charged further to make them useable. I'm not paying for that. And don't think I should have to.
Totally, how dare a company make a new game 4 years later, keep the old game running at expense to them with the server costs (do you pay a subscription cost?) and not have all your existing mods work in the new game.
@@PluckyUnderdog FS24 will have all addons transfer over with some exceptions. You’re not charged for it, some devs might charge you for an upgrade to the product but not for transferring.
Maybe FBW or some other developer could just use the model (which is quite nice imo, beside some obvious edges) and put a decent system in... I guess if anyone wants to put some honest work in it and has the funding they can buy it from Aerosoft for a dime.
