Gas is terrible for G. Honest to god I stayed up one night looking out my window every 5 min wondering if someone was siphoning gas out my car. I couldn’t understand how sometimes I’d have a half tank of gas..go to sleep get up for work no I have a quarter tank. Good to see I’m not crazy smh
jayr124589 i changed my spark plugs and ignition coils and my mileage is running wayyyy better. I used to fill my tank up every week, but now I’m going every two weeks.
FormerUsPresident BarackObama no i drive around Jacksonville city all day for a few hours in total drive time. But I’m careful about my acceleration and i avg out to 24 mpg
Gas gauge issue is simple fix its usually the charcoal canister it's backed up or just dirty. I fixed my 350z same issue just blow some air into the inlets of the canister with a compressor.
Get the seatbelt retracting kit and replace the fuel sensor. That's signs of your sensor going bad. Same thing happen to me. Replaced it, and it's accurate now
I’m having issues with the doors locking and unlocking unless I do it manually. Also problems with other electrical parts like the windows and the turning signals. Apart from that I love this car and I don’t plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. It was my daddy’s. We lost him in March so this car holds a VERY special place in my heart. Not to mention it’s fun as hell to drive!
Tiffany hrmm maybe have a mechanic check out the electronics for your lock issues. I'm sorry to hear that! These cars are always fixable, and so definitely let the legacy live on as long as possible
Blowing you up......but yeah my gas gauge does the same thing. I've tried cleaning the sending unit and it still does it. It will read full or 3/4th all the time and then when it is about to run out of gas, the needle will drop from full to empty in like 1 sec and the gas light will turn on. So instead of replacing the sending unit, I just decided to track my mileage. I've been tracking my mileage for so long, I don't even care anymore about replacing the sending unit which is behind the driver seat. The fuel pump is behind the passenger seat.
i have had 2 g35's with this problem. i learned its not the sending unit that's faulty. its our cluster, search up "infiniti gas gauge" on eBay people fix it for around 100$ our clusters go bad and cause our gas to read the wrong amount. hope i helped from my past experience.
Mario G .....Really? Interesting, then why do all my other needles on my gauge cluster work perfectly? If it was the gauge cluster wouldn't the other needles start to fail too?
tbh that is a good question. but Infiniti cluster has something faulty about it. The gas needle is what goes bad for some reason. You can either buy a new/used cluster (but that will change your miles) or like i said there are people on eBay that fix them for around $80-$150. I can assure you that is the problem though, been thru it twice and once i changed the cluster, the gas gauge worked perfectly again.
Also you can run your aux cord through the Center glove box, just drill a tiny hole in one of the sides of the Center glove box and it makes it so you can hide it when you aren’t using it.
The inaccurate fuel gauge caused me to run out of gas on the highway. I was surrounded by cars flying by at 100 km/h. Even the traffic cop that came to assist me was scared! Now I filll it up every 500 kms...
My first car was a g35 coupe and it was my dream car, i saved for 2 years. I sold it because it was losing oil, i didn't know it was a common issue and thought it was a bad engine. Sad, really sucks... but im glad I sold it, it was an automatic and i really wanted a manual.
Bryan R I'm looking at getting a Tiptronic g35. Over here it's Nissan. Dream car is probably a gtr or something but I've been looking at these for a while and really like the look of them especially modded
No one ever comments about Infiniti (nissan) helping with any of these issues? I realize most are beyond warranty but some like the oil consumption seem like the happen while still under the warranty--same thing for the seat rips, window motors, ect, I had 3 Nissans and they would never cover any issue so i never buy a nissan-ever
*Gas Gauge Fix* I have had 2 g35's with this problem. i learned its not the sending unit that's faulty. its our cluster, search up "infiniti gas gauge" on eBay people fix it for around 100$ our clusters go bad and cause our gas to read the wrong amount. hope i helped from my past experience.
Slow? Compared to what? Definitely not slow compared to most cars in its class. BMWs Mercedes etc aren’t exactly fast in this class either. Actually a lot of them are slower.
It was the fastest v6 of its time. oil consumption is a problem of most imports. There’s plenty of aftermarket clutch options to choose from. I cleaned my headlights once and haven’t had to since.
Many of your reasons are why I got a V36. While they didn't fix all of your valid complaints, they fixed a bunch of them (the HR has no oil consumption, so happy about that). Good lookin' G though, keep rollin bro.
My G37 coupe crushes my legs too and I’m sure the doors heavier than the G35. The seat has a similar rip problem but it wrinkles. When I work under my hood sometimes the hood comes down on my head because of the weak hood shocks... but I still love my car among thousands of other things I love about it.
There's a $20 fix for the aux problem. Our cars have Bluetooth hands free, and there's actually an fm transmitter type thing for it at Walmart, it says Bluetooth hands free compatible on it, so it's easy to find. I went through a couple fm transmitters and they all sounded shitty. But the one I have sounds great, and it's worked for me for about 8 months now.
My only complaint about the 350z/G35 line up is that Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura didnt do it too. 6 speed manual, 300 plus horse power, 2 doors and rwd plus a premium interior. It is a simple formula. Acura needs a two door rwd car this size but I think the Type S is coming.
Wonderful vid Bud. The first day that I owned this car I scraped the lower front bumper on that curb thing. I get laughed at now because I always park 2 ft away from them... maybe 3 ft! The dip stick location is crazy! And the belts still squeal like a pig in the cold even after replacing them. 04 G35 with 84000 and no oil issues. Seems to be a problem but not for everyone. The seats are beautiful and wear all the same. What I don't like is when I find the position that I like to drive the seat cuts off my circulation and I have to move it down! The 04 came with a Bose tape deck! Hey not bad you can buy a cassette tape with a 3mm Jack and the stock sound system is excellent.
Awesome upload, beautiful G... Stock, '03 6MT Sport, 102K miles here. I've owned it for 1 year and have put 10k miles on it. My experience with the 10 points on the list: 1. No oil consumption, I understand this issue only affects the rev-up engines. 2. No issues with retraction but seatbelt design is indeed horrible. I use a plastic seatbelt tension relief clip to create a bit of slack (clothespins work too). 3. Seats are painfully slow as shown. My rip was worse at 92k miles, I used leather patch (Mastaplasta) and it looks pretty good, much better than the rip and has held for 1 year. The rip, caused by poor design that can be seen in the video, is such a shame as the overall quality of the leather Infiniti used in the G is excellent. Other than the rip my seats look new. 4. I didn't realize the auto-close was intended. I thought mine was defective. I'd much rather have a door that will catch in the open position. 5. One would expect aux in an '07 but not an '03. The previous owner had installed a nice aftermarket Bluetooth deck with aux. in mine. Very clean install with kit and all the steering wheel functions retained. Hooked to the stock Bose speakers and it sounds just fine for my needs. 6. Love my Brembos. 7. Could be worse, you could have plastic fake aluminum instead as mine does. Only the handles were worn so I repainted with a Duplicolor trim paint made for fake aluminum. Turned out great. I had been jealous of the later Gs with the real metal but was unaware of the scratching issue. No sticky dash (has always garaged). I've had minor issues with loose door panel trim too and re-glued with spray adhesive. 8. Clutch, no issues. 9. Gas gauge seems to be accurate enough. 10. Your aftermarket bumper looks great. I can't pull over parking slabs either but haven't ripped mine off... yet
I am 17 years old and had a 2005 g35 coupe and now own a 2005 volvo s60 r awd. I can say i like the volvo better and its also a lil cheaper. ( for all young teens out there looking for a fast cheap car) they both bout the same 0-60 but volvo has awd .
As an Infiniti master tech, I can confirm that the oil consumption is a known issue especially on the M/Ts. Probably need to put rings on it. There’s a TSB for it. We were replacing short blocks for awhile. Bring it to Dallas tx bro. I’ll do the rings for a G. 😛
@@cee9585 as an advisor for Honda I appreciate you. Because I won't step near an Infiniti dealer and I don't have Infiniti VIN tsb info at Honda haha. Good looks
The gas gauge is the most annoying part of the car imo. I have run out of gas on the way to school and barely made it to the side of the road only to find out it says I have half a tank left. AND I just crunched my front bumper a little bit today. RIP
I too ran out of gas leaving school once, had to have a girl steer while I pushed it to a near by neighborhood. One of the worst experiences I had in highschool, you know how kids always wanna talk shit as they drive by. 😂
same shit happen to me on the high way while driving at 100 km, it ran out of gas just like that, I called infiniti and told them about it and they said its not their problem like fuck off my life was in danger hope they are not waiting for a mass class action lawsuit about it
One thing I learned about car owners=they can go bankrupt from repair cost,be pushing the broken car down the road all the while telling you what a good car it is.It's human nature-nothing you can do about it. We simply won't accept we bought a lemon.
Why is everyone so mad about the door? It's a luxury feature for the luxury brand Infiniti. Automatic closing doors. Even some supercars don't have that. I feel privileged.
I agree, I would never trade my g35x either. It’s a very comfortable car as well. I’ve owned a variety of different makes and models in its class and by far think this car is far more enjoyable there obviously a few things I don’t like how the interior on curtain plastics peel and what not but for the most part it’s a solid reliable car.
My 03 coupe will be the last G35 I own. Everything in this video has happened to me and then some. My radio display stopped working, my car alarm would randomly go off, fuel door wouldn't open, floor boards got wet during heavy rain, I swear I hate my car, lol.
Hey get your seat sides re-upholstered, take the seat out and take out the cushion and take it somewhere to replace the leather on the sides only and tell them to reinforce the foam so it won't rip easily. Did this a year ago and still looking perfect on mine.
12:01 I WAS CLENCHING MY BUTTHOLE SO TIGHT THAT MY UNDERWEAR BECAME WEDGED BETWEEN MY CHEEKS, GOD DON'T DO THAT. (NON-CAR ENTHUSIAST WILL NOT UNDERSTAND)
Ive had my 03 g35 for 6 years now and youre spot on. I have the same problem with the gas tank, my tank will take $10 and itll click like its done. You have to fill your gas at a slower rate and it will fill all the way
I've been busy with work and I'm just now getting to watch this. Great upload and this video is hilarious, seriously great job! In regards to the seat cushion ripping so quickly, there is actually a metal piece that needs to be shaved down to keep the seat from ripping so quickly. I got mine fixed by Sue at Gas Monkey garage for $130. Here is the TSB from Infiniti on the metal piece that rips the seat so quickly.......g35driver.com/forums/attachments/northern-california/120232d1273722122-ripped-driver-seat-recall-itb07-006.jpg
Thank you so much dude! I really appreciate it. And bro thank you for the TSB! When I'm going to get my door handles and dash reupholstered, I'll see if I can shave down that piece myself before I bring the car in and possibly get that portion of the seat reupholstered. Good looks my man.
Aaron no problem, I'm a fan. After Nitish21 and Freshkiicks, I think your channel has some really good content and should be up there with the best. Just keep uploading and it should grow. You are a great speaker and compared to the other channels out their on the G35, you deserve way more hits. In time, people will eventually find you. I think the main reason my channel took off is because of how long I've been on youtube so it gives me a better algorithm for my thumbnail to appear. Show less REPLY
Arron You said it "I love my G35!" I too I love my G ride! Keep up the good work and hey , you should have your own web page with a link to all your content...
I just bought an fm transmitter for my 2003 for like $15 on amazon. Plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet, tune it and the radio to an unused radio frequency and connect via Bluetooth or aux and it works great. Two USB ports to charge phones too
''05 Coupe Revup: Driver window motor went out, passenger door lock actuator failed, trunk wire harness frayed and wouldn't open, failed wheel bearing multiple times, gas gauge is useless, super thirsty motor burned oil and blew up, new motor does the same thing just not as thirsty, seat corner rip, sticky had to be replaced, radio broke years ago, headlight balast failure. I'm sure I'm missing something.
Sounds pretty accurate my friend. Try adding a catch can to fix your oil consumption up to 90%! The door motors suck. I feel like mine are going out soon. Agreed, gas gauge is useless! I may do a seat corner rip fix as there is a TSB on this issue. Stay tuned brotha
Run 4quarts 10w-30 full synthetic (mobil 1 my preferred choice) 1 quart of Lucas and install a oil catch can...and this may be hard (for me atleast) try not to beat on it 😁That should help with your oil burning problem.
Great video lol this is what I needed to see before I bought mine. One thing that bothered me the most is the dang dip stick. I don't know what they were thinking when they made this.
The oil consumption was pretty crazy. The seat belt design wasn’t too bad though. I finagled my way with six because my G35 has RCA inputs so I found a Bluetooth device that plugs into my cigarette lighter and that’s what I used. The leather on the G35 felt a little cheap. I sold my G35 for a pickup. I couldn’t fit anything in this car but the performance was pretty awesome.
Dope vid, and Clean G brah! I got very similar love & hates for the car. Oil consumption n the fuel gauge problem are definitely a pain. Didnt know I wasn’t alone with the RIPped seats. No idea with the sticky dash though, no problems with my 05 G coupe here in Southern Cali. And the mention of tapping the parking stops with the aftermarket was hilarious, too true! Peace and gl with the build, may make my own G vids soon! 👍
Pretty well made video, the humor was much better than I've seen from channels with 1 million subs. For real. Thinking about getting a 350z but if I should get a g35 we will see
I found mine used in grrrreat condition for 450. Ordered some drilled and slotted rotors, new pads, stainless steel brake lines and paid under 900 for my entire brembo kit
You need to get a dash cover soon. The sticky dash is from the sun boiling the leather. If you don’t want air bubbles all over your dash get it quick or leave it in the shade
I love watching "why I hate my g" videos and seeing them only talk about the small things. This car is a beast and will last that's the most important thing.
Yep most are relatively inexpensive fixes if you are good with your hands. Pretty expensive fixes otherwise. It's all the little things that tend to add up though that really start to get to you as an owner. Oil consumption is a big issue that affects a lot of these cars. I have an 03 with only 86k miles. Had less than a year and in that time I've had to replace two window motors, a door actuator, have the famous tear in drivers seat, xm radio gets stuck on "loading" far too often, and HVAC blower fan is beginning to fail and rattle in the dash. I have no doubt the car itself will last. But will the patience of most long term owners when all their electronics go out one by one.
Yep same problem here in the UK self closing doors and electric seats that take forever to slide but I have never had to add any oil ever and I have owned mine for 4 years. Ps the correct title for the car is Nissan 350gt skyline, bollocks to infinity.
Thank you for the video man. I am looking into buying a G35. There are so many for sale. I'm in Canada. And you can get a really good condition G35 for $5000- $7,000. I found one for $7700 that has super low kilometers (80,000kms) or 49,000 miles. The interior is near mint. And I'm really wanting to get it but I wanted to know what problems I have to look for in the car before I buy it and you helped me with this. Thank you
My Dude this was hilarious and all these things are completely true...surprised you didn't have any window motor issues lol...I was a master technician in window motors by the time I sold the car. Keep it up man! Car is clean AF too
I agree with a lot of the issues that you have, the interior issues are there, but we have an upholstery shop, so I'll be redoing my interior, just torn between red(sporty) vs brown(luxury). For the aux issue, I bought an fm transmitter, now I have Bluetooth, Aux and hands-free. The clutch is annoying, but I just deal with it. My gas gauge works and when I first got my car I was getting 16mpg, but now I'm getting about 20mpg, and I can go way over 300miles before I really need gas. I have the Brembo, Bose, Spoiler, suspension packages. The bumper does need a replacement, because of rock chips, I really want something that would make it look longer, like how the 370z have, but right now the greddy one looks nice, yours looks nice too. My door actuators suck, passenger side doesn't work, driver side sometimes works, the windows, I'm scared of the not working, so I just never use them. Now I'm thinking of wrapping it, but maybe not. 2004 G35 6MT
Nice! That Greddy bumper looks sick! I was thinking about that one but I'm not a huge fan of the way the side holes in the bumper has that shape. I like the Kuruma because it looks a little more smooth but still sporty. I'm thinking about doing a brembo swap or maybe getting some CTS-V Calipers. I'm going to be dipping my car in a few months, so look forward to that video for sure! After new body work of course. I should have mentioned the window actuators. They are terrible! Sometimes when I turn my car off, and open my door, both windows roll down! Like what? I have to turn my car off and wait like 20 seconds before exiting so that it doesn't do that.
Fuel sending unit is a common problem. Mine does the same. I usually just go by miles driven on a full tank. I got a quote to fix it, $800.00. Most of the cost was labor.
Jason Griffin it really is mostly labor 😂 part $100 labor $300 like wtf 3 times more than the part. Gas gauge thing is under back seat and super easy to change donit ur self fuck these bastards charging mostly labor for simple as fuck shit!!!!
Props to you for willingly letting the door crush your leg. Hate when that happens
Its Donutt bruh, I was thinking the same thing. The sacrifice he made lmao
this guy bitches about the stupidest things, bitch about the performance, not the fucking bullshit
Lol. Was taking a girl out for a date yesterday. It was her first time in the G and she had her leg sticking up and bam! She was limping for the rest of the night. 😂

I can't pull over parking slabs either but haven't ripped mine off... yet
Hahahaha I died with the door one man, you just got a new subscriber 👍🏻 my girl hates my car door
I am 17 years old and had a 2005 g35 coupe and now own a 2005 volvo s60 r awd. I can say i like the volvo better and its also a lil cheaper. ( for all young teens out there looking for a fast cheap car) they both bout the same 0-60 but volvo has awd .
Trying to read the dip stick for how much oil you have left sucks too
As an Infiniti master tech, I can confirm that the oil consumption is a known issue especially on the M/Ts. Probably need to put rings on it. There’s a TSB for it. We were replacing short blocks for awhile.
Bring it to Dallas tx bro. I’ll do the rings for a G. 😛
Also also. You probs need fuel level sensors. Also a very well documented issue with a TSB.
RIP
DeathByLizard same shit happened to me lol.
I too ran out of gas leaving school once, had to have a girl steer while I pushed it to a near by neighborhood. One of the worst experiences I had in highschool, you know how kids always wanna talk shit as they drive by. 😂
Hey Jake it's alright. They're just talking shit cause they don't have as nice of a car as you.
same shit happen to me on the high way while driving at 100 km, it ran out of gas just like that, I called infiniti and told them about it and they said its not their problem like fuck off my life was in danger hope they are not waiting for a mass class action lawsuit about it
DeathByLizard Just track your mileage using the trip meter on the odometer
U have no idea how much i appreciate this vehicle and now realize I’m not the only one lol i literally have all the same problems
One thing I learned about car owners=they can go bankrupt from repair cost,be pushing the broken car down the road all the while telling you what a good car it is.It's human nature-nothing you can do about it. We simply won't accept we bought a lemon.
I love my piece of shit :)
Aaron, happy for ya,and thanks for giving us insight about G-35's
Why is everyone so mad about the door? It's a luxury feature for the luxury brand Infiniti. Automatic closing doors. Even some supercars don't have that. I feel privileged.
I'm so privileged to have my shin broken in half 2 times a month
Lol in all seriousness it rarely hits my leg, and having the automatic closing door while walking away is a convenient feature
Can't forget the terrible lower control arms that always come off the bushing smh
I know it's like 2 years late but you can fix that slow seatbelt retractrion problem by putting furniture polish on the seatbelt👌
I experienced all of these problems in my friends 03 coupe 😂 although I wouldn't trade my 08 sedan for anything
For those who have issues with your gas in the G's have you checked your tire pressure? Tire pressires can affect the gas levels in your vehicle too.
My 03 coupe will be the last G35 I own. Everything in this video has happened to me and then some. My radio display stopped working, my car alarm would randomly go off, fuel door wouldn't open, floor boards got wet during heavy rain, I swear I hate my car, lol.
Sheesh that sounds like a lot! It's a love/hate relationship but mostly love for me lol
The car is definitely cheaply made like most Nissans.
I miss my g35 so much dude this video was nostalgic for me
I’d walk that G35 with my DE ;)
Come to SoFlo let me get a tune and you got a race bud
I am from Tampa haha I can come around later and set something up, I still waiting for the FD and DS.
DE for the win
DE??
Did you guys ever have that showdown?
This has got to be my most favorite video from you alot of these moment had me cracking up. Keep up the good work bro
Thank you bro!! You know I definitely will!
when a ricer thinks hes over his ricer phase in life. they get a g35
BigTymin so fucking true.
BigTymin accurate
Soooo true lol
I'm a noob. What's a ricer
BigTymin do you even know what rice means??

Arron You said it "I love my G35!" I too I love my G ride! Keep up the good work and hey , you should have your own web page with a link to all your content...
Any coupe or coupè has a heavy door because of crash ratings and no window frame
Same here
Lol had the door hit the back of my legs sandwiching my shins into the car felt soooo bomb. So now I do it everyday. I love it.
Great video lol this is what I needed to see before I bought mine. One thing that bothered me the most is the dang dip stick. I don't know what they were thinking when they made this.
They weren't thinking much when they made most of this car, lol.
Grem BF1 you can always get a short throw dipstick.
Agree 100%. I am also experiencing same problems with my 06 G35!!
Man that gas is the biggest thing I think I got half a tank and take a trip to target got a quarter tank
R.I.P. to my 06’ that I had to get totaled out today.. 💔
Because you didn't get the g37
The oil consumption was pretty crazy. The seat belt design wasn’t too bad though. I finagled my way with six because my G35 has RCA inputs so I found a Bluetooth device that plugs into my cigarette lighter and that’s what I used. The leather on the G35 felt a little cheap. I sold my G35 for a pickup. I couldn’t fit anything in this car but the performance was pretty awesome.
I also hate your g35
Dope vid, and Clean G brah! I got very similar love & hates for the car. Oil consumption n the fuel gauge problem are definitely a pain. Didnt know I wasn’t alone with the RIPped seats. No idea with the sticky dash though, no problems with my 05 G coupe here in Southern Cali. And the mention of tapping the parking stops with the aftermarket was hilarious, too true! Peace and gl with the build, may make my own G vids soon! 👍
you’re hella funny bro 😂😂😂
I feel this so much 😂 except my 03 doesnt consume oil ever
My Maxima has the same oil issue. It would easily burn a quart or two every 1-2k and it was seriously shitty. Typical Nissan shit.
Pretty well made video, the humor was much better than I've seen from channels with 1 million subs. For real. Thinking about getting a 350z but if I should get a g35 we will see
The fact that it doesn’t have an aux ruins the car for me
Buy an In dash with Bluetooth easy fix
When that door shut by itself SAY GOODBYE🤣
Nice bumper my guy, where can I get me one of those
Alex stacks outcast garage my guy
Alex stacks it's the Kuruma Z bumper there should be a ton of resellers just Google the bumper 😀
Id gladly take that g35 as it is my dream car thanks.
Get some brembos duuuude
I think I'll definitely be swapping for some brembos! Either that or some CTS-V calipers if I can somehow fit them. Stay tuned my man!
Depends on how used and what someone is selling them for, maybe between $200 and $800?
I found mine used in grrrreat condition for 450. Ordered some drilled and slotted rotors, new pads, stainless steel brake lines and paid under 900 for my entire brembo kit
Finally!! someone with a g35 build
Get rid of that shit bro
Boosted C7 Z06 get rid of your piece of shit chevy
Sphinx Da2 I know right.lmao
Sphinx Da2 I think u meant that about the g .
Sphinx Da2 Imma chevy dude, but don't worry about that guy. That G35 is sexy nice.
Jonah G35 I agree man, both cars are great
They hold up well for almost being a collector car (20+ years old)
You need to get a dash cover soon.
This is so relatable! You've mentioned all the problems I have on my 06 G35. But I still love the car though!
Yep same problem here in the UK self closing doors and electric seats that take forever to slide but I have never had to add any oil ever and I have owned mine for 4 years. Ps the correct title for the car is Nissan 350gt skyline, bollocks to infinity.
I just traded my 2002 Toyota Camry Lexus in for a 2004 infinity g35 sedan at first I was like dam this car is fast asf it drives good to be an old car
Sticky dash cause by sun rays, previous owners probably too often left it in sun exposure and not protect it with sun shade.
Being a G35 owner for 15 years, I had to agree with you on every single things you hate about the G35. Damn they are pain in the @$$!
Thank you
100% agree with everything you said. Especially the end when you proclaim your love for it. Subbed.
G35 styling is so good ! Remember I wanted it so bad before.
My Dude this was hilarious and all these things are completely true...surprised you didn't have any window motor issues lol...I was a master technician in window motors by the time I sold the car. Keep it up man! Car is clean AF too
Thank you so much dude! My man, after uploading this video my passenger window motor is beginning to die. You jinxed me!
You can stick the seatbelt in the guide at the top of the seat. That may keep it from rubbing against your neck
Can so relate! I have an 05 coupe and ya e the same problems. Even the gas gauge!
Such an entertaining video man good work
New subscriber and G owner... nice to see the listing in the description!
I️ can def see you blowing up bro keep up the work
