Okay, so like i totally understand what you mean that g owner should be checking their oil all the time since its known to have a high oil consumption, I was lucky enough to put oil in before it goes out last week cause i haven't checked it in a while, but like when i go start my car, when i have my keys in the on position i can see a engine oil icon, but it never lights up when im low on engine oil, is it something infiniti make?
I remember I put Lucas lube in my oil. My check engine light came on and car started acting crazy. I use to use Hyperlube and never had a problem. But cool thing is my mechanic is Thatdudeinblue mechanic and hes the best out there.

Great content man. Im a big fan of the g35 coupes and can't wait to get one after deployment this year. Any personal advice on which year would be less of a headache?
Even though I own 2005, I recommend either a 06 or 07. I've converted to 06-07 projector headlights and I got lucky with the CD009 gearbox with a late model 2005. 06-07 came with CD009 gearbox on all the manuals.
Man, when I first got mine, not even 2 days in, oil cooler and valve cover gasket went out. Causing me to lose all my oil at once. It sounded like a water hose. But motor is practically new, it's 80k miles. New clutch, everything stock. But find out it's got a stage 2 tune, so stage 2 CAI, stage 2 clutch. It's all stock but the exhaust makes popping noises which is sick. Haha
12:23 holy shit. I've been looking relentlessly for a fix for the SAME EXACT issue. I wish you would've supplied the code, hopefully you got the same one.. "P1283 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor 1 Lean Shift Monitoring Bank 2" When my buddies and I tried diagnosing this, we assumed it was the AF sensors too. (He says he changed the O2 sensors BEFORE the cats first) Although yes, those are O2 sesnors, I got sold O2 sensors when really I needed to O2 sensors BEFORE the cat... They call them AF sensors and they're about the same price. Excuse my cluttered thought, I read a diagram wrong and ended up changing the AF sensor on the passenger side, instead of the driver side.. The code eventually came back which lead me to believe that I changed the wrong one. So I went ahead and changed the other AF sensor. Code came back and I said, "Screw it. My car must just be running rich because of my aftermarket exhaust" Thankfully right at 12:23, our boy at Motordyne describes the same exact issue and how he resolved it..! Which btw the fix was the O2 sensors, not the AF sensors. (AF=Air Fuel and for those that don't know, AF sensors are before the cat, and O2 sensors are after the cat) Happily noted man! Gonna swap out both of those O2 sensors shortly here, and hopefully I can stop driving around with that damn check engine light.
I got a G35 at 191k miles and I did a compression 4 days ago. Came out at 180psi across the board doing 5 ignition starts with #4 at 190psi, but I did 6 on that one. Just do the typical car maintenance, and that baby will continue to pull like it did years ago, maybe not exactly as hard, but you get the point. Just don't be a jackass all the time and it's a damn good reliable car.
I don't think the power steering pump was mentioned. The OEM pumps are very expensive. Would you personally get a remanufactured or used one from a used parts dealer?
Did I miss it, in your G35 Repair Journal, you list the date and repairs done but not the prices you paid, or do you place that info elsewhere in your book? Very detailed and informative Information. I am considering buying one like yours! Thumbs UP and Thanks!
i know this comment is old.. but for anyone else in the same situation, that price is way too high even if it has mods at that mileage you wouldn’t be able to enjoy the mods for too long
Issac: (10 months ago) and if it is running fine and has a good service record I suspect you've already bought it, I think that was a pretty good deal.
i noticed next to nobody washes aftermarket intake filters... lol... im not looking forward to cleaning my g37 cold air filters... have to remove the bumper to take em off... ugh
Question--Why do all the G37's and the g35's that don't have the seat controls in the seat have warped and damaged thigh support in the drivers seat on the left side? Can these be repaired without buying a new seat. Thanks.
Damn my 02 altima 3.5 never any of those issues and I drove that thing hard, only had 170,000KM on it though before she got into an accident this March. :( Granted HR vs DE so slightly different but oh well sometimes you just get lucky. Looking forward to grabbing my G37 Coupe tomorrow. :)

Mines at 75k. Replaced all fluids and belts. Is there anything else to replace soon? I'm thinking clutch + flywheel are on their way out, then maybe spark plugs at 100k. Do most people need to rebuild their diff?
Hey man congrats on keeping your ride up to date. Hey i just purchased an 08 g37s. How hard is it to change the spark plugs? Will it be the same as the g35? Is it something i can do my self with basic knowledge? Thanks

Great video! I have a 2009 G35 Coupe. Do you know any good repair shops here in Southern CA that I can trust with my car? I don’t have the skills you have. Too many claim to know how to fix this car but don’t do it correctly. I think the Cam sensor is bad.
Turbos should not be considered problems. Coilovers should not be considered problems. Forged alloy should not be considered problems now that we've excluded that I'm guessing your friends had to buy lots of tires
I bought a motordyne plenum spacer and a 75MM throttle body. I was planning to put them on right away and the tune would have to wait since I’m running a bit of a tight schedule for it. (It’ll be an e tune) I’m at 151k miles almost 152. Should I be alright running w the mods? Because I was gonna do these sorts of maintenance and install an oil catch can right after I install both engine mods.
I was driving my G while graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Information Telecommunication Systems back in 2006 and I still have her. But yes, I'm now in Arizona and I've been loving it here. Better than Tampa where I also used to live.
Got my 04 g35 coupe in December, automatic (don’t hate) with 54k miles . It was babied but man oh man does it hall ass, I don’t run it hard but when I do it runs. Motordyne G35 thanks appreciate the reply’s and I will watch and learn !
Thank you for making this video man! I am going to buy a 2007 350Z this weekend, and I am nervous about it because I normally never spend money! (I would get a g35 but I'm a single graduate student with not much stuff and I never move things, so I don't really need the back seats).
how did the purchase go? I bought a 2004 350z convertible last year. it had been sitting for 7 years in a garage only started once a week. great car and has only gotten better after breaking in again.
@@ghostman76015 Dude, it was a crazy story... basically the 350Z I wanted was sold, but they sold me a rebuilt title 370Z Touring for $10k..... what a great purchase that was! I miss my 370Z... I eventually traded it for a Infiniti Q50, which is nice, but I def miss the Z.
i like your car maintenance log book, ill start to do that too:)
I've had mine from 18k to 180k, and one hub, hood hinge, cat, engine, steering shaft joint, cam sensor, window motor, fuel pump.... soo yea
Im in AZ too, maybe one day we can meet once I get my g35 looking nice...
idk how you keep making content. I love it.
Got her looking really good man!!
Great content man. Im a big fan of the g35 coupes and can't wait to get one after deployment this year. Any personal advice on which year would be less of a headache?
Jordan Dennis after 06. The HRs are a lot better. (07-08)
Even though I own 2005, I recommend either a 06 or 07. I've converted to 06-07 projector headlights and I got lucky with the CD009 gearbox with a late model 2005. 06-07 came with CD009 gearbox on all the manuals.
Thanks for the replies. I'll look into the 06-07 model when Im back home.
Isn’t the CD009 prone to slave cylinder issues lol?
But anything’s better than the 03-05 trans with the 3 rd gear grind
"P1283 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor 1 Lean Shift Monitoring Bank 2"
When my buddies and I tried diagnosing this, we assumed it was the AF sensors too.
Just got my G35 back from my son. I got work to do. Great vid. 😅
Did I miss it, in your G35 Repair Journal, you list the date and repairs done but not the prices you paid, or do you place that info elsewhere in your book? Very detailed and informative Information. I am considering buying one like yours! Thumbs UP and Thanks!
Whats the song clip at 8:15?
i’m looking to buy a 177,000 mile 04 g35 coupe for 4,500, what do you think ?
Issac Gonzalez in my own opinion i think that’s a little too much for 177k miles
i know this comment is old.. but for anyone else in the same situation, that price is way too high even if it has mods at that mileage you wouldn’t be able to enjoy the mods for too long
Issac Gonzalez i got a 07 g35 sedan with 161k for $5000
My friend is selling a bmw for 3,000 is that good
Issac: (10 months ago) and if it is running fine and has a good service record I suspect you've already bought it, I think that was a pretty good deal.
i noticed next to nobody washes aftermarket intake filters... lol... im not looking forward to cleaning my g37 cold air filters... have to remove the bumper to take em off... ugh
Question--Why do all the G37's and the g35's that don't have the seat controls in the seat have warped and damaged thigh support in the drivers seat on the left side? Can these be repaired without buying a new seat. Thanks.
Damn my 02 altima 3.5 never any of those issues and I drove that thing hard, only had 170,000KM on it though before she got into an accident
this March. :(
Granted HR vs DE so slightly different but oh well sometimes you just get lucky. Looking forward to grabbing my G37 Coupe tomorrow. :)
That underpass. Was that Phoenix Arizona?
I just purchased a Infinity M35 Sport and the thing has me paranoid. but it does need very little work. I have the whole statement from the dealership with. 25 point inspection and was wondering if you do live in Arizona would you mind taking a look at it for me.
Did you rev match at 1:54 ?
How did you replace the Bose head unit? Did you reuse speakers and amp? Thanks.
That was one expensive trip to California btw
Mines at 75k. Replaced all fluids and belts. Is there anything else to replace soon? I'm thinking clutch + flywheel are on their way out, then maybe spark plugs at 100k. Do most people need to rebuild their diff?
Hey man congrats on keeping your ride up to date. Hey i just purchased an 08 g37s. How hard is it to change the spark plugs? Will it be the same as the g35? Is it something i can do my self with basic knowledge? Thanks
8:14 song?
I didn't see the differential fluid on your list.
for my g I parked it for a while and all of a sudden I had a couple dashboard lights that came on that were never there like the slip sign the vdc sign and the service engine soon and I would click the vdc button to turn it off and it would stay and all of a sudden the slip and vdc signs came off but the service engine soon it still on there why would this happen?
Great video! I have a 2009 G35 Coupe. Do you know any good repair shops here in Southern CA that I can trust with my car? I don’t have the skills you have. Too many claim to know how to fix this car but don’t do it correctly. I think the Cam sensor is bad.
wow..good g35 coupe! nice to meet you.
Nice video 👍 have u done the timing chain yet
Nope, I have not done my timing chain, no issues yet.
hello, how much did all the repairs and replacements cost? and how much did it cost with the mods?
Where or how or what would you do for interior replacement? Just keep watching eBay or something for OEM parts? Feeling pretty down on finding parts.
I have 2 friends with G35s and they've had them for 2 years and both have already spent more than 10 grand on them in problems.
クルー喧嘩者 ........Is the G boosted? Turbo?
Turbos should not be considered problems. Coilovers should not be considered problems. Forged alloy should not be considered problems now that we've excluded that I'm guessing your friends had to buy lots of tires
U really had a lot of spare time👍🎉
I bought a motordyne plenum spacer and a 75MM throttle body.
Crazy you’re in Arizona, next year I’ll be heading over there in my G Coupe to go to ASU 😃
I was driving my G while graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Information Telecommunication Systems back in 2006 and I still have her. But yes, I'm now in Arizona and I've been loving it here. Better than Tampa where I also used to live.
Thank god I found you ‼️‼️
Do any alternators , starters and radiators automatically come with life time warranty or certain brands ? Thanks
That sounds really good
Got my 04 g35 coupe in December, automatic (don’t hate) with 54k miles . It was babied but man oh man does it hall ass, I don’t run it hard but when I do it runs. So far I’ve only had to do an oil change and change the alternator belt but getting the brake rotors and pads changed soon. Clean lookin G 👌💯
Congrats on getting a G! No hate at all and let me know if you have problems down the road. I can help!
How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I literally am looking at one same year and milege tomorrow!!!
I’m at 234K on the dash, engines never been opened. Beat the crap out of it everyday, wonderful car. Uprev tuned making 273whp
%
Are parts expensive for it? I want to either get a 370 or a g37. Knowing the Infinity is a luxury brand, how much more are the parts for it compared to Nissans?
Hey, love your vids. With reference to the fuel pump, did you ever experience the fuel gauge dropping under E and stop working?
Have you had any axle clicking problems on your car? Mine recently started doing it.
Just curious, at what point did you experience the camshaft/crankshaft sensor failure that seems to plague all of our engines?
SpideySensei72 ......first at 70k miles, then again at 140k. Yeah it is very common.
Where did you buy all your parts? Much respect
I have an 05 g35coupe. Ever since a mechanic installed for me a new clutch and flywheel doesn’t want to start..
I had same prob mechanic forgot 1 ground wire nissan trans needs ground for it to start
Jeff Paul okay I’ll check that. Where is it located?
Do you have to worry about the clutch problem with automatics?
Dude I need some advice I found a 07 g35 coupe 86k miles. And I’m planning to mods the car too! it’s in excellent condition. Question. Is the miles too high?
Just yesterday I purchased a 2006 6mt with 170xx lol let’s see how long it last me rides like a dream smooth the only flaw was it has a high idle issue
Congrats on getting a G! Here watch my video on how to reset your idle to fix your high idle issue.........ruclips.net/video/TZJfWQLGUZI/видео.html
Motordyne G35 thank you bro you have earned a subscriber
I have an 06 manual coupe all stock and oh man I want that exhaust.
How did you get that light under your car ? Where can I get one ?
My 07 G35 Sedan is at 220K miles.
Replaced Transmission @170. Low on liquid so "my fault".
Replaced AC compressor -600$ at 200K miles.
Replaced Cat Converter -500$
That's all for major components..
I have a 5AT 07 G35 Sedan(120k mi). What do i need to get or do to the car to get 300 wheel horsepower out of the V36? I'm not trying to go FI just yet since its my daily at the moment. It's also my first car and I plan to keep it forever.
My 2004 g sedan has been over heating at idle with the ac on I replaced the clutch fan and the small electric fan in front of the radiator and ran good for like 2 months and then last night it did it again. It had a new thermostat and system had been flushed too so now I am stumped but I scanned it a few days ago and it was the u1000 or the ipdm engine room fuse box code popped up so you think it make have something to do ? I’m still new to these cars
I have a 2008 Infiniti G 35 with 125k miles what do u think drove great during test drive took a mechanic said it was a great car wasn’t leaking anything
