Don't understand why more people don't realize the advantages of not having music when the true sound of music is tires chirping, chassis creaking, little bit of fender rub and a lot of engine noise.
I gotta say, there are some channels in this area of endeavor that could learn a lot from you Rory. No juvenile facial expressions, no drama mama titles, no childish crap whatsoever. Just good footage of what you do well. You have no idea how much I enjoy that fact. Thanks
That's why I like this channel, and Casey LaDelle's channel best. MORR is just a bunch of snatch outs and HeavyD I have blocked because it's nauseating.
Mike is excellent with the camera. I'm here as much for the awesome filming of the scenery as I am for Rory's awesome recovery skills. Great job, Mike.
And let's not forget that the editing pulls it together. I mean how many cameras do they travel out with now? How much footage is being pulled together to give us a recovery, scenery, obstacles, personality, and dusty metal all in 15 minutes or so?
"Nah... no need to tow it. We'll rebuild it from scratch right here on the trail." (sponge bob "2,000 YEARS LATER) "Rory! Where've you been? You completely missed the rehearsal dinner!" "It was unavoidable."
Rory you are a true saviour. You rush out to pull the custom Toyota with the not running Cummins motor. On the way you stop and assist a sixty year gentleman in getting his motorcycle right side up, and it's all in a days work. Hope you made your rehearsal dinner on time... Rory you stay safe and keep helping those stranded individuals because you have the super tow truck that gets them all out. Trail Mater to the rescue...
Rory just swings in and heads up Hall's Revenge like he is going to get groceries. Top shelf confidence in ability and equipment. Oh yeah, and "I gotta be a a rehersal dinner in a couple hours." No problem, no worries.
To the motorcyclist you helped..if reading this. Pull-out bike around so wheels are on downhill side before attempting to lift. Thxz Roy for helping him.
Your channel is amazing because your talent and workmanship are amazing-all without fanfare or drama. I LOVED the camera work showing the chassis below, working hard to deal with the terrain and giving us direct evidence that you pick your lines very well across uneven terrain. How we didn’t hear any scrapes or see any gouging is testament to the driving. I also get a big kick out of watching the suspension, axles, leaf springs, shocks just working and absorbing and dealing with the terrain. It FUNCTIONS like a “well-oiled machine” but it LOOKS like it was just rescued from a junkyard! The ultimate sleeper tow truck! And the video work- it’s absolutely artful.
Rating: 👊👊👊👊👊 The footage of the Trail Mater towing the Toyota with the sun casting a shadow up against that 'wall', the creaks and groan of the suspension, the low-growl of the engine at low-rpm; These little things are definitely 'ASMR' and probably the main reason why I find your video content so enjoyable. Thank all of you for the continuing frequency of these uploads! Hope you all have a really great (and safe) weekend!
Great, now you've ruined it for me. ASMR is the worst, most nauseating, most terrifyingly awful sensation I've ever felt in my entire life, and I strive to avoid it at all costs, and now you've tied this to something I actually enjoy watching for technical reasons. Thanks for destroying yet another formerly enjoyable thing. I guess I'll have to watch with the sound off and subtitles on.
@@sewiv I would imagine then, that you've never experienced the most nauseating, most terrifyingly awful sensation of severe gall bladder pain and hope you never do. If the things I mentioned about these videos can actually nauseate you, I would suggest that you see a shrink.
Note to self: Do your test runs on pavement near home. That little Cummins will be a great motor for that old Toy pickup! I wish they offered a motor like that back in the day.
You guys are proper genuine. Luv what you do. I live in the far SW of the UK, not far from Lands End. So I have nothing in common with you, but you, Matt, Robbie and Paul make me laugh after a long day. Thanks. Particularly enjoyed the blow torch and stat! Lol.
0:18 did you ever watch grumpier old men and the dude is supposed to get married and they're in their tuxes fishing for catfish? Lol 😆 hope you guys have a fantastic weekend
Memories. At the age of 64 I layed my dual sport bike over at about 5 mph. I thought no biggy. I went to pick up the bike. Ouch broken collar bone. Now at 67 I’m using a quad. I need 4 wheels under me. I put a picture of my X- ray on the handle bars. It says $low down.
I'm really leaning towards the fact that Trailmater maybe the 8th wonder of the world. Every new episode I still see something amazing that the rig can do. There will never be any rig that can come close to it.
Rory, That footage with the shadow on the rocks of Trailmater pulling the 4runner would make a great Tshirt pic. Great content as always. Stan, Sacramento.
Your rig may look like a wreck it's self but there is no denying it's capable of a lot more than one would believe if you hadn't seen it in action. It definitely get the job done. Way to go sir.
Trail Mater team to the rescue! Rory and Mike did a good job recovering this Toyota and getting it back to the trailer. The sun on the rock's of Mater towing the truck was awesome! The accidental time lapse was good 👍
Dude, trail mater is a simple but yet an engineering marvel. It's ability to resist sway while towing a vehicle blows my mind. I think the key is the phenomenal leaf spring suspension. I think if it had coil springs that it would need massive sway bars to resist the torsional forces brought on by towing in off camber terrain
That's a cool little rig. A shame he's having so much trouble with it. Parts can really be a problem, even with more standard stuff. Pulled off a recovery on Hell's and back in time for dinner. Such a deal.
Roy, in pretty much the last frames of footage, that shadow of Mater tugging out that 4 Runner against Hell's background, would make an awesome shirt! Had a fleeting thought that your dinner might test your patience, NOT YOUR SAFETY, but as usual, cool as a cucumber. Nice!
I was wondering why you looked so clean shaven in that last video as well.. Like getting a quick Moab trip in every time you share a video! Thank you all 👍 Time lapse was sweet too!
The shadows moving along the rock faces are mysterious and a bit ominous when paired with the rumble, chirp and squeak of trail mater. Great eye Mike. It just keeps getting better.
Always a pleasure..thank you for the vidio..trying to hit the power ball to visit the area..it's 1.5 billion..in our area. Found a 4 leaf clover this am who knows..
I think by the time all's said and done Ima have Hell's Revenge memorized just by watching trail mater videos. lol! That silhouette of trail mater in tow at the end there (12:39 or there abouts)? Dang, if you can get that on a T shirt, that'd be sweeet!
Don't understand why more people don't realize the advantages of not having music when the true sound of music is tires chirping, chassis creaking, little bit of fender rub and a lot of engine noise.
So true, no bloody music - just that V8
Well stated right there!
@@brunoterlingen2203 And Big Block V8 at that !!!

100%
You got that right partner some of these competing channels of the stupidest made up thumbnails clickbait. They all are starting to look alike
Also the every 5 minutes - "Get Our Merch!!!" bunch.

Ditto 😅

hard to pin down the hero with so much good content. They’re all so good at what they do.
Totally agree !!!
Yup!
Rory was secretly hoping the job would overrun the rehearsal.
"Nah... no need to tow it. We'll rebuild it from scratch right here on the trail."

"Rory! Where've you been? You completely missed the rehearsal dinner!"

Yeah, but free dinner
That was interesting. Good job guys. ❤️👍👍🙏🙏❤️

In a monkey suit? Nope. Pass.
Mmm. no open bar eh.
...good job givin'' that biker a helping hand, keep safe...
That Toyota pick up is one of a kind and beautifully done. The builder should be very proud of himself. Great scenery again. thnx
Came here to say the same! Very nice truck.
If I had two hours before I had to be at a wedding rehearsal dinner, I’d be taking a nap. Thumbs up for the rescue under the circumstances. 🙂

Nothing better than fresh heck, flexing leaf springs and tire squeal 😅👍
I enjoy watching off-road towing better than street.
Those off-road towing truck are amazing machines.

Winner, winner, wedding dinner. Timelapse accident was great.
Loved the shadow of Trail Mater on the mountain and the speedy recovery! 🫶.
MAN!! Talk about an office with a view! What a beautiful area to "work" in.
Great show. Looks like a Jeep commercial. That's why you don't have little engines in 4 wheeling trucks. Thanks' again. Johnny Cool.
The silhouette with trail mater and the tow against the canyon wall is awesome.
Another good recovery by Rory I think you have Mike with you but who every enjoy your wedding rehearsal have a wonderful day
I want to see Rory in a penguin suit tripping the light fantastic!
Nice yota! I love the old furunners.
That was a cool effect with the shadow of trailmater towing a vehicle.
Nice build on the Toyota. Reasonably easy recovery done well. Hope the dinner was good. Thanks for sharing.
Should name your truck 'HAPPY HOOKER' Good job everyone!
Awesome vid! Just listening to that Big Dawg Big Block eat is very enjoyable. And that Yota is an absolutely killer build! Props to that owner!
I see the best shot got replayed for the closing. That shot of Trail Mater towing the 4Runner (shadow against the rock wall) was well captured.
You'll have to do a silhouette whilst towing t-shirt now!
I love the "out takes" at the end of your videos. Great filming of some amazing scenes!!
T-Shirt Tlme ,
SHADOW OF TRAIL MATER ON ROCK WALL
The time lapse at the end is what Rory needed to happen to be able to make the dinner appointment.
Add a camera to do just time-lapse and include it at the end of each episode. It was fun to watch.
@@leel6130 Good call. 🙂
You know its a good and clean build when Rory & Crew are complimenting it!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Trail Mater showing, once again, that sometimes, there's no substitute for cubic inches. Love it.
That was an awesome shadow on the rock's on the way out of trail mater ... The guys truck was set up pretty nice
Hi Me and Mike 🙂 that's a lot of front end suspension on that Toyota 🙂 Very pretty wall art at 11:05 mark and 12:40 too... 🙂 Thanks for sharing
10:05 The sound of that big block going to work is glorious. It's rare that we hear that old beast with a load on it.
Note to self: Do your test runs on pavement near home. That little Cummins will be a great motor for that old Toy pickup! I wish they offered a motor like that back in the day.
Rory, I scrolled through the video quickly to give you plenty of time to get to the dinner.
That must be why he got there on time!🙂

Something more scary than some of your trails? Rory in a suit and tie? Now that is scary.
Well done with the recovery Sir.
Rory, You and Trail Mater sure do make those Rescues look easy! GREAT JOB GUYS! (You "2" Mike!) Love the Channel!
I loved that last part............rock speeding is much more exciting to watch then rock CRAWLING
Rory is always calm and collected

Rory, Mike and Trailmater to the rescue
Hello from Las Vegas Nevada
Good video, thanks
God bless you and your family
12:42 I told you it was a perfect picture, my for shadowing !
That's a pretty good adventure to begin with only a 2 hour time window. And you would tell me "ye of little faith".

I think the key is the phenomenal leaf spring suspension. I think if it had coil springs that it would need massive sway bars to resist the torsional forces brought on by towing in off camber terrain
It's not simple in any way. I bet if you got in it you wouldn't even know what to do
Awesome four runner 👍🏻🇺🇸
Rory Mike love you guys ❤️👍✌️💪🏻
That shadow on the hillside would make a great T-shirt!
Hey Rory, that last, ...... you really need to lay off the coffee 🤣🤣
No way Matt can win the tow truck Olympics. That thing is amazing
I would like to see more of that Toyota. Funny thing, when I was overseas most Toyota's had diesels.
Moab desert saviours......aint no buts about it!! luvit
That's a cool little rig. A shame he's having so much trouble with it. Parts can really be a problem, even with more standard stuff. Pulled off a recovery on Hell's and back in time for dinner. Such a deal.
I appreciate you guys. Always amazing scenery.
awesome quick and easy job. time lapse at the end was good thanks for sharing.
This is how to spend a Saturday morning, Trailmater and coffee,,recovery before a wedding rehearsal, lol
Nice job Rory and Mike!! You guys are alway there to help.... Good on ya!!! Love your videos!!
You need to come out with the Rory bobblehead!
Dude, the time lapse was awesome!! I’d watch a whole video of that!
YES! 😁😁😁
Great job as always Rory and Mike thanks for sharing
What a great tow rescue, especially given the time constraints. Seeing the Trailmater shadow on the cliff walls NEVER ever gets old! You guys rock!
Love the “out take’s” at the end.😂
That was a lovely little 4Runner. What a great idea to put a smaller engine in one. Mine had a 2.4 litre 4 and it was great in the bush.
