    The truth is that Honda makes very good cars too and not just Toyota that people go crazy about in Nigeria. Although Toyota has a wide range market which includes SUV's and trucks but Honda has mastered the craft of making sedans and engines. They sell more engines than automobiles especially boat engines. They must be doing something right with the Formula 1 red bull Honda team that they are able to compete and win the likes of Mercedes amg petronas team and the likes of Ferrari and McLaren team. People living in northern part of Nigeria will choose Honda over Toyota because of the engine reliability. Mechanic will even tell you not to rev a Toyota like you will rev Honda. My opinion is that Toyota is built strong and also Honda too but Honda are the better with engines and also crash tests. Don't be surprised aside motorcycle engines and boat engines, Honda also make airplane engines. Honda makes most engines in the world. We have to stop with the ball joints stereotype. Honda will compete with Toyota easily in reliability. Sorry about my long rant o.

    Anyone that wants to buy Honda Accord 2012-2017 should go for the V6. I've driven the V6, it doesn't consume fuel. The fuel consumption is almost same with the 4-cylinder model. Avoid the CVT models, unless you're buying the car for your woman. Real men drive the V6. Nigeria is not secure, a real man needs a fast car. If bad people are chasing you on the highway, your V6 might help you get away. It will save your life.

    Broooo…. You didn’t lie here at all. Been driving the 2012 for over a year now and mehn!!! I don’t think getting the v6 is even necessary. The 4plug moves like craze. When you get to 120-180km/h you’ll feel the car telling you your life is very important. You’ll just feel it. And please adhere to that. But if you get the ‘touring’ you’re in for an exciting experience man.Apart from servicing, there’s no fears with this car. It was made for everyone. My personal challenge is the car is too low. Asides that, you hit a jackpot if you bought a clean one. But the 2016 Honda Accord Thank you 234drive. Y’all be doing the most. I’m akure based. Before I bought my 2016 Accord, I went on consumer reports to check for common problems with Honda cars and I didn’t see anywhere the legs were mentioned. That leg won’t just go bad just like that. Sometimes it gives signs weeks and months ahead. And it’s not even an expensive repair o.

    2012 is a different generation. Another known issue with this generation esp 2013-2015 is starter & battery issues. Honda sold these cars with weaker smaller battery which is advice you change to a bigger one esp if you’re using push to start; starter might have to be replaced, just wait till yours gets spoilt before doing that. Nice review!

      Good job with this. I used a 2008 Pontiac Vibe, sold it for a 2010 Honda Civic because I got a good buyer for the Pontiac. The Honda Civic came with a small battery that was obviously the cause of some electrical problems for the owner. I changed it to a bigger one, problems solved. Been using this big battery for over a year without those electrical issues. Sometimes, bigger batteries save the lot 😇😇

    Hello guys, wonderful video thank you for sharing. I’m really looking forward to getting the 2017 model of this car in the nearest future like very near. I notice you mentioned something about a noise the car is tend to make when you accelerate it. Please how bad is it and is it also happening in the 2017 model? Thank you in anticipation

      I used this car, its not the belt that makes noise, its the engine but its not as bad as he painted it, if you speed above 3000rpm it will make a sport car kind of sound. But good thing is the car has noise cancelation

    Finally! Was thinking between 2008 es 350 plus facelift to 2018 or Accord 2014. The horsepower on the lexus def beats the Honda hands down but I kept asking myself that in Nigeria, do i actually need that much horsepower since all I want to do is just move around Lagos at max of like 80-100kph

    • @234drive
      @234drive  2 года назад +2

      To be honest! You don’t need that much power and also, the 2008 ES350 facelift isn’t that great compared to the Honda Accord. Just buy the full option Accord and you are good!

      The accord v6 2014 is 278hp and the es350 is 272hp so what exactly are you talking about? If you’re talking about the 4cylinder version then it’s not a fair comparison

    • @ijanuyisamuel
      @ijanuyisamuel 2 года назад +1

      Make your research before making conclusions. Accord V6 is equipped with more powerful engine(278hp) than ES350(268hp-272hp). You don't need to compare ES350 with 4 cylinder accord.

Honda Accod is one of the best car in the world but only on good roads .With that low ground clearance it can never last 10 years on bad african roads , never if used daily .
