    My wife and I just got an Accord EX today here in New Jersey and we absolutely love it! It's our first brand new car and we got it just in time to bring our baby home from the hospital. It's going to be a great family car! Can't say enough great things about it!

    Dang dude; expected to see a lot of love for the 16 accord but everyone is saying the 15 looks better; 16 looks sharper, sleeker, meaner, and more aggressive! Good job Honda as always!!! And good review man!!

    • @shaanp_2260

      The 15 just aged better imo, i think mainly because of how the 15 is more elegant and uses less cheap chrome, and in general is a bit less overdesigned. Even the interior had less cheap gloss black.

Much better than the 2015. But Accords are the best! I love my 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6... I also think the tail lights on the '16 look like the E-Class :) lol

    Dude, its a fantastic video. I respect your ability to get every styling and detail nuance....
    Ive had coming on 4 gens of the Accord, the 4th, 5th, 6th and my 7th.
    The biggest gripes I have about the current iteration of the car:
    I dont want the connectivity features in the car at all.
    I dont want to be tracked at all.
    I also dont want sensors doing anything for me. Ive driven in 4 states Pa, MD NJ, DE... in some of the hairest whiteout snow, ice weather... and a sensor isnt what taught me how to DRIVE.
    Ive always driven cars with COLOR - not death black, shiny primer or white.
    ---My 4th was Brown, my 5th was green, my 6th was red and my 7th is blue. I wouldnt even bother buying without a color.
    I bought my 7th with 87k, prob have the car right through till 300k.
    Maybe by then there will be some way to remove the fuses for the connectivity bullshit. Not in my damn car.

      +Edward Tomilloso (Your Honda Man) Please inform Honda headquarters that people want and need RWD Accord. Manual transmissions,mean and aggressive design and better materials in the saloon. They also need to revive the Prelude,Integra and CRX if they want to continue be a respectable brand. All brands move forward,Honda needs to do that too. We are 2015-16 and people need more than good engines. They need to drop a big stone in the lake,so it creates waves. Oh,and please remove that touch sliding volume control out! Its ridiculous!! Car is something that you drive and you pay attention. Rolling knob is the easiest way to control the volume,and they shouldnt try to reinvent the wheel there.

    • @eleonik76

      Raymond Sevilla Never is quite a long time. Honda is very conservative company,and we seen how companies with similar strategy take a sharp U turn. You cant go against the market for a long time. People will turn back on you slow slow. Even the hardest fans. I moved to Mitsubishi Galant VR4 after years of Honda Accords..,the latest of which was Type R. I got to say that in build quality,handling,materials and feel the Galant is miles ahead of the Accord. Last week i went in Honda dealership to see the new CRV,new Civic and new HR-V..,really,really disappointed from the CRV and HR-V. Open the door and the side panels were made of...fabric. Cheap fabric. Every time its raining and you open the door,or slightly the window,rain gets there. All the dashboard is made of really hard plastic,something like the one in Dodge Nitro. The seats,the materials..,the looks. Two words. Cheap,bland. At least in Civic i found some looks and soft touch rubber in the saloon..driver oriented center console and a bit better attention to detail.. After so many years of loving Honda,i let it go. And it was for good.

    • @eleonik76
      @eleonik76 8 лет назад

      Sony Bruno By reinventing the wheel i meant that volume knob was already invented and frankly it works good for over 2 centuries. Focusing on touch screen stupid inventions,while making dull design and plastic dashboards is really wrong step. Big waves can be done only by huge developing investments like new RWD platform,new engines and better,NON CVT transmissions. I know many people,die hard Honda fans who moved forward..you asked them why,and answer is always the same.. "Yeaah,they make nice engines,i love the VTEC sound,but thats all" Nothing else. Now i have VR4,i dont miss the VTEC for a second,i enjoy the torque and power and the solid build quality.

    I ordered a 2013 Accord 4 cyl manual Touring model in Oct/12. Received it just before Christmas that year. Dec/23 and 193k km and I got into an accident and the insurance company totalled the car. I thought I’d never find another one as manual transmission isn’t that common especially with the 4 cyl. Well, today it’s about 4 and 1/2 months later I bought a used 2016 Accord, 4 cyl, manual Touring model with 36k km and in that same metallic grey as my old one. To be honest, I prefer the styling in my previous Accord but I’m sure this one will grow on me.

      @bokkey45 9 лет назад +5

      +Esoteric44 ALL car companies copy off each other. You can play "who copied who" all fucking day long if you want to. You could say that the current E-class benz looks a lot like a 2007+ Camry, that Mercedes stole that boxy/simplistic exterior design from Toyota. But who cares how the car looks or what they might have "stole" from somebody else. That's not what matters. For as long as the automobile has existed, car companies have always been copying designs off each other. It's nothing new.
      Also, the instrument cluster has the same shit that every other car has. Speedometer in the middle, and tachometer, fuel gauge, and temp gauge to the sides. Just about every fucking car in history has that setup.

    Minimal issues with my 2015 LX, 78k miles. Mirror issue I never noticed.. maybe my car didn't have it. Zero challenges with the starter. Minimal oil dilution issues. Zero CVT slippage, even at steep grades. Had no problems with the CVT, and actually preferred the immediate "downshift" compared to other cars (2018+ Camry) having to hunt for the right gear when you just need to go. Averaged 36mpg per tank, 70% highway. I did 6 hour drives with the cloth seats in the LX and was never uncomfortable. Really a great car. Only real issue was left rear power door lock stopped working. not a big deal since I rarely use that door. I could still manually unlock it with the button, and would just leave it locked all the time by default. Some wind noise in the rear.. overall road noise wasn't great, but I got used to it. Bluetooth always sync'd to the phone before I even got in the car. Always worked flawlessly. Backup camera was great. Tires.. while on the narrow/bubble side (205/65/R16), were at least cheap to replace.. $110 for Continental True Contact, which had better ratings than what came on the car, Pro Contact. The only main downside to the 4cyl Sedans is the cornering. Lots of body roll. However, at @t, you'll find forums on a simple easy 30 minute do it yourself rear sway bar upgrade that helps the understeer/body roll significantly. I never got around to doing it myself, but people are confident in it.

    I feel like I like the design for 2015 better. The front of the 2016 seems like there's too much going on. Trying to hard. That's my opinion though.

    i think honda overdid the new 2016 model. I personally think the 2015 model looks way better and sportier than the 2016. The 2015 looks complete while the 2016 looks a bit....too much

    Good video Ed! Are there any differences in the suspension and ride compared to the 2015?
    Also there was a sound pressure problem in the 2015 when you opened the back windows only on the freeway,was this problem corrected?
    Thank you!

    Honda needs to create a luxury Accord and give it it's own name or number...maybe Accord LSX or ESX. Make the model a comparison to the Audi A4 or Beemer 328i. Take out the cheap plastic and replace it with upgraded luxury material. A Premium Stereo system from a premium company like Krell, Martin-Levinson, Harmon-Kardon, etc....A supremely quiet interior, AND some optional equipment that many Baby Boomers would relish and that is an optional Cassette Tape player. There are millions of Baby Boomers who still play cassette tapes at home and in their older model cars. The first company that realizes that and makes it an option is going to see a huge spike in sales.

    Great comparison. So glad I've waited until the '16s came out - I really like the new style. Here's the $64,000 question: when will we get some details about the new Accord Hybrid. I know that the drivetrain will be revised, that production has been moved to Japan, that there won't be a '16 model, and that the '17 is due first quarter next year. Any idea when we'll get details on trim levels and the like?

      Great point. We at the dealerships have been semi in the dark when it comes to the hybrid accords. We know as much as you do at this point. Honda has kept us more up to date on the HRV, pilot, and fit production. Since the accord hybrids are moving back to Japan. I'm assuming the factory will be re tooled to build the cars which is what takes the most time.

    Greetings Edward. Thank you for your review. The comparison of the 2015 v 2016 Civic was very useful. Simple question: Will the 2016 Civic have a spare tire (doughnut)? I ask because so many companies are going to inflation kits or run flats to save on the weight. Thank you in advance.

    I have a 14 Touring right now and I really like it but I saw a 16 Touring at a dealership in Milwaukee a few days ago and thought "I am trading mine in for this". What I don't like is the 19 inch wheels, they look cool on the Touring but I wonder about ride quality (Hondas are already sort of a rough ride) and how they will handle in snow and ice which is not something that you guys out there in Southern California have to worry about. Maybe in the spring before i have to buy new registration tabs I might make the trade to a 16, they are slick looking.
