Wonderful mix of shots, subjects and wit. Those cranes are so elegant, they certainly seemed worthy of what looked like quite an adventure to get to see them. Beautiful stuff. Thank you.
wow I love all the extra info you guys provide about the boats and fishing. Its actually very interesting and one the unique things I enjoy about your channel! Wonderful work
Thanks Nick and Ted. Great photos of the red-crowned cranes. The peninsula with all its dead trees was eerie and stark. I'd be interested to know more about the lives of the families fishing in that bay and how they get by season to season - and how they are coping with the slowly changing environment. Ted's comments on the geology of the landscape added to my appreciation of the place too.
Thanks for your comments, Malcolm. You could do a whole film on the seasonality of the work in Hokkaido. There are lots of people that can only do outdoor work for only part of the year. And in winter there are a lot of snow clearing jobs!
