Finally got my copy and tried it with a friend yesterday. We both have played a lot of different card games in the past (tcg, lcg and different deck builders) and we really liked this one! Its unique enough to stand out among the others so we will definitely be playing this more in the future. Hope it does well!
Hey there! We have played with that idea and are still not opposed to it. There will for sure be a few more adjustments to readability. Great feedback!
@@neverrifttcg5569 I would second this! The cards seem to pretty much be borderless, so a brightly colored border, something that really stands out would be very clear in its indication. Maybe orange or yellow.
Everything was played right side up for the camera perspective to read it easily, but when playing a real match are cards played relative to your perspective or is one player chosen as the main up-right position perspective? This is especially important since number values would essentially swap between top and bottom and left and right of a card depending on if its played upright or upside down
Hey there! Yes! Triple Triad was the main inspiration for this game. We just took it up a notch by adding a more modern spinn to effects and interactions.
Hey!!! Been searching for new tcgs to play and this one is just different from them all! Little bit of chess and a little bit of that. Do all cards have to be played onto the board in the same direction? They’re upright facing the bottom player but upside down for the top player.
That's right - all cards are upright facing the bottom player. After one round it can be vice versa. HOWEVER you can also play side-by-side. With our playtesting groups we found that sitting side-by-side was preferred by everyone and no one was bothered by sitting side-by-side. When playing 2 vs 2 it is a little different, though.
It has similarities for sure. I have looked into Summoner Wars and it has an interesting concept, yet has different win conditions and ways the cards interact with one another.

For cards that gave aura effects, why not use a brightly colored card-border to symbolize the radiating effect?

Isnt this just triple triad from final fantasy with extra steps?
Personally I think the effects of cards is what Triple Triad is/was missing
First thing i thought
If this gives tripple triad feel ill be buying it

❤️
Will there be Tamers in the booster packs? And if yes how rare are they? Is it comparable to planeswalker in MTG?
Are there archetypes to this or is it just kind of a "goodstuff" game? Gameplay looks cool by the way, any way to check out current card pool?

If my opponent tames a creature I own, do I still control that creature? I.E Can I sacrifice that creature still?
The cards look great from the artwork but quite big. Do they still fit into standard sleeves?
Yes, the cards fit into standard sleeves like PKM and MTG.
So it’s a slightly different Summoner Wars
It has similarities for sure. I have looked into Summoner Wars and it has an interesting concept, yet has different win conditions and ways the cards interact with one another.
When is this launching?
Later this year for the printed version.
Where can I buy?
Hello! Thanks for your interest! The game is not released yet, but you can follow our socials and will be informed of where to buy Neverrift.
@@neverrifttcg5569 Cool cool, will do. I hope all goes well with the development. Good luck
Just a perspective… while I like table top it would be more appealing to me if it was digital. Too busy to make time to group
They're making a digital version alongside it! :D
