My daily driver for branding photography on a 50SII body. As you said, quite versatile. I pair it with the GF 20-35 as I sometimes shoot interiors. For portraiture I use a set of telephoto Mamiya 645 lenses as they render beautifully on the 50 megapixel sensor. For close-up work I either use the GF 35-70 (35cm close focus) or the excellent Mamiya 120 f4 Macro for really small stuff.
Sadly, I no longer have this lens but it is an absolute gem if my experience was anything to go. The optical quality was excellent. One of the most amazing things about this lens is the image stabilisation. I was shooting it on a GFX 50R body (no IS) but with the lens stabilisation turned on I could shoot down to 1/30 handheld. Absolutely insane for a MF camera.
I have this lens and it’s the best zoom for the gfx system I believe because of it’s versatility and image quality! Great for portraits too plenty of bokeh at 100m

I have to agree with you!
Nice. UTV!
Yes mate! UTV
I like it a lot, it will probably be the lens I will buy when I switch to the gfx system and then add one of their f2.8 prime lenses
Sounds like a plan!

Can't go wrong with it!
That video AF & close focusing capability (or lack thereof) are a bit off-putting. But otherwise looks solid.
Agreed!
Its like 3 lenses in one without losing anything in image quality. Its not that big either imo .
3 in 1, very true!!!
