The whole backstory behind Rickman's character is still hilarious to me. He hated the script so much he talked to a bunch of his comedian friends to have all his lines rewritten which lead to this masterpiece.
They should have an Academy Award for best villain. Allan Rickman would have three awards for sure, one for this, one for Die Hard, and one for Quigley Down Under.
At one point Kevin Kostner asked the director to cut back the sheriff's screen time, as he was worried that Rickman's sheriff would overshadow Robin's character.
Oh, the comedic timing! that "something vexes you?" will never stop being funny. I know the movie was a huge thing, and Kevin Costner is a good actor, but boy did Alan Rickman steal the show out from under him.
