@@JarrodsTechwhat a rebel. Also it’s fine abt the g7 I’ll figure it out😉
Where is the full review of MSI 76 radir
Good Job Jarrod. Another great video
The heat pipes come off with 8 screws. Just get thermal paste and re-paste it. It's all just one system.
Excellent video as always Jarrod. Now im torn between the legion 5 or the omen 15.
Nice, now I need to buy it(somehow)
How to check what battery my omen has, without removing the back??
I bought I7,16 GB and 1TB SSD OMEN laptop, I can’t see anymore laptop with this specification online. I think my laptop is upgraded version. But it’s fantastic to use.
Its cooling is sooooo good dude!
Your videos are always appreciated :)
Will you please tell me the correct name of the screws in the base enclosure as I want to replace it... Please....
You are godsent. You upgrade walkthroughs are so thorough and you way of explaining is superb.
Could you do one on Dell G15 5515?
Thanks a lot.
awesome t-shirt man ! great band
Awesome, I love my laptop but wasn’t satisfied with the battery life. I’ll definitely be upgrading in the near future!
i have this one too but yeah the battery life is really bad i barely get 4 hours on video playback and thats on battery saver mode
Thanks for this video, I just got the exact same notebook
hey
i was opening the back panel but the screw heads got damaged
what should I do ? how can I open it ?
can i use this laptop without the battery? i keep it plugged in at all times so i wouldnt want anythin to happen to the battery
Is it worth buying now or waiting for the new processors?
Tbh I would wait because I use my devices for a long time (7-8 or more years), but I also believe it would take time for the laptops to get released globally and would take more time to be in stock (probably months).
Can you run this laptop without the battery? Like totally remove the battery and just plug in via wall socket.
Is there any way to upgrade the GPUs on these Omen laptops?
No.
is this a good buy entering 2022 ot should i wait for new laptops?
Hey Jarrod, some of us had issues with Lan drivers due to a bios error when using the windows virtual machine platform for Windows subsystem linux. An updated BIOS F.12 was pushed through windows update, but you need to be in the windows insider beta ring last I checked. This fixed a lot of network driver and BSOD issues people were having. I tell you this as it may be worth trying the WiFi again with the F.12 BIOS
God bless HP for making it usable on battery
Still happy with my purchase since mid August 2020 AMD model. Would like a beefier gpu for 1080p w/ dank fps but the 1660ti did surprise me. I Came from a 2017 desktop 1060 + 6700k build . Chose a laptop cuz work from home and office use was needed.
Is yours still working ? My omen went dead after a year of purchase
@@randomideas991 what omen did you have?
@@danielkraemer5744 omen 15 2020
Thank you Sir . I have question please can you answer me?
..
Can I change dddr4 ram 2666hrtz with ddr4 3600 or 4000 hrtz???
My laptop is msi gp63 leopard gtx 1070 8th generation of intel..
Yor answer important to me please.
Where i can find a motherboard on hp omen 15?
When you upgrade the battery do you need to get a new power brick/charger
I have this OMEN with the same specifications and it is very good, the stock temperature went up to 99 degrees playing games but making some adjustments it does not exceed 75 degrees. It came with 1 TB SSD and I added another 1TB SSD. The fan when gaming hardly does so because I use a cooling pad to maintain temperatures.
What adjustments did you make, if you don't mind me asking?
@@ahmadzabeer983 i guess as all gaming notebook users he was ubdervolting the cpu and gpu . I went from ~ 90* down to 68-70* ;)
@@br0leg274 how?
How did u lower your temps? Mine hits 75% running only google chrome :/
@@junkoulas1 were you able to fix this?
i have a question how do i replace the keys on my hp omen model 166oti my arrow keys are gone how do i replace them and where do i find new keys please help
Curious because my omen lasted 3 hours & some change, I wonder if that rating is based off the keyboard lighting being turned on as well as screen brightness at maximum peak.
Does this laptop support 64GB of RAM? I read on the official HP website that the maximum size in this model is 32 GB.
i wonder this
What a great video, thanks for this.
Wanna see the 2021 AMD Omen. Hopefully, Temps remain cool.
Me too
Love your content,yo bro after replacing the ram that's it or theirs something else to do afterwards
I found on HP web that it could only go to 32 but it is good to hear that it can be updated to 64
Yeah that just means it's what they sell it with, for some reason people confuse it with a maximum limit which is not the case.
I have the same laptop but the intel i7 version. I was looking at replacing this but nothing really much have changed with the newer versions except for the GPU and they are more expensive now so I decided to just upgrade the 16GB ram that comes with it to 32GB plus adding 1TB SSD to the 512GB that comes with it.
Im having a problem with my Omen15: the rubber pads on the bottom seem to be comming loose and no way to re-attach
What ever was used as the sticky substance must have work out, probably doesn't matter too much to not have them covering the screws. If it's the foot that prevents the laptop sliding around, then not sure, might need some sort of glue.
@@JarrodsTech Thanks for the reply, this may be a known issue idk. But also the rubber feet that came off ( yes it prevents the laptop from sliding ) they also seem to have expanded and dont fit in their original places 😂
Me watching this video with my Omen 15
My Omen 15: *That's brutal*
When upgrading the battery, how do you store the original, to keep its shelf life? I put the 60 a-hr battery (charged) in the chest freezer in a zip-lock bag.
