I’m not really to comment on a RUclips video but I had to. February 14th I lost my son, my ex was 5 months pregnant when we lost our baby. Today April 24th I’m still broken but I just really felt like listening to this song. I never really knew the lyrics to this song but today it broke me down, and I know God has a hold on me. If I can ask everyone who reads this message for prayers amen.

I found this song back in 2016 when I had my daughter. She was born 13 weeks early and we spend 106 days in the NICU. I felt like God was testing my strength as a beloved daughter, and as a beloved wife - Now a mother.
I never knew the strength I had in me and how much I needed Him. His love, his understanding, his grace. I remember signing this song to my daughter, holding her fragile body against my chest as she was attached to IVs and ventilator with tears rolling down my face. I never felt so much at peace in the mist of the biggest storm of my life.
This song means so much to me, I play it help my daughter to sleep every night now. It has become one of my favorite and I believe it became her’s too.

11 years later this song still finds me
Too many start out great singers,with sincere,heart felt music,and then just spiral down into bad language and content.They just start to lose their appeal. Need To Breathe appears to have gained it from the 30+ songs I've checked out. And their first songs already had amazing appeal.

This band is truely blessed, if there is any doubt to some people that God/Yahweh/Alah/Krishna doesn't exist, there is your proof, a perfect storm of talent coming together to show people a better path trought music. We are all unique and amazing, we all have souls (although there are some evil people who do not), the very proof of this is our ability to create beautiful things, such as this band creating it's music.

I listened to The Reckoning album the entire 13 hr drive to a new place, away from family and friends. I was so alone but it was something I needed. This song has been my anthem in all the rough times.

This song is stunning! I had the hardest time ever getting through 8th grade, loosing friends, loneliness, and watching everyone disappear in front of my eyes. Over that time I began to listening NEEDTOBREATHE, and it felt as if I wasn't alone, and gave me that sliver of hope I needed. Keep it up you guys!

I sat in the car listening to Air1 one about to just give up then this song came on and made me realise how lucky I am to be born in this country and that jesus takes care of me.
While for many people, either Jesus or Long Island Medium brought them to this video, I was brought here because I've loved this band for years, and I needed to catch up on their new music. Doesn't matter how you find this video, it's just plain awesome that you found it in the first place, because it deserves the attention. :)

Not being able to see, feel or otherwise sense the subject of your faith but to believe with blindness regardless because you can sense this something in other ways that aren't through physical fleshly senses but spiritual and heart based senses. That is faith.

My husband and I had the awesome privilege of meeting these wonderful guys at a concert years ago. They were very humble and kind. Took the time to speak personally to a large group of fans. Really nice guys! And their music is amazing!! :)

This song kept me focused on my dream, through many struggles, over many years. I'm still not there yet, so I still find it encouraging. I think it is the band's way of saying what they hear God say, as they do in many other of their songs. "My love" is the way God would talk to us. There's a scripture about watching out for traps from our Enemy, Satan;, depending on which interpretation of the Bible you read it may actually say "keep your eyes open" "Show me your fire, show me your heart" is God encouraging us to show our faith & speak it, live it. "I'll never let you fall apart" because God never lets us fall apart completely when we trust in Him That's my 2 cents anyway

Despite being Atheist, I still enjoy this song and a few other Christian songs as well. I listen to Christian music simply because (most of the time) the songs can be interpreted in other ways that don't involve god and biblical meanings. This song from my view is about "keeping your eyes open" even through the bad times so that you don't miss out on "seeing" the beautiful things in life.
Yeah I don't see this song as only applying to faith. I say the "great unknown" is just the future you don't know of, and the fact that it is unknown is beautiful, yet scary. You just gotta keep pushing and face the things ahead of you.
Christian bands for the most part try to inspire in anyway. They do it to attract atheists so they will listen, not for more listeners but so some people that might not even think of Christianity until it's put in vocal form

NEEDTOBREATHE always say they try to keep away from 'religious' standpoints because they want everyone to listen to their music and feel something. If you are not a Christian that shouldn't stop you from listening to their music because it is good music. If you are, then great!
Yeah NEEDTOBREATHE does what few other Christian bands do, and that's broaden a message based on their faith. They don't limit themselves to worship music, and though I am Christian and do listen to Christian music A LOT, I really appreciate them beccause a. Bear's voice is so unique and amazing and b. they have a way of connecting to multiple types of people
