This song was filmed in my house before we moved in and was used as a set. I really made a full and total surrender to Jesus Christ in 2017. Yes, I still looked out for me but I wasnt no.1 and still took care of me but there was enough evidence before me that Id live through to tell me that Jesus is trustworthy you can trust him with full confidence that Hes not going to let you die in it and you arent going a second sooner or later than whats intended for you.

Man this album came to me in a time of necessity. I've been away from the church for about 5 years in the beginning of 2017 and returning to it was a blessing, because theses last years were rough. I should have finished with my Law studies if wasn't for my deep depression these last two years. I had this invitation to a kind of religious camp. I did everything to try not to go, but for some reason I decided to give it a try hours before going and I packed my bags. There I had a renewal of what I see as faith and my approach to God and the church. My life was a hundred in a few months. I've been dealing with depression for almost a year now, and there's been eight months of rehab for cocaine use. There I also had the opportunity to meet a person in a situation very similar to mine. She has been very important in my journey in search of perseverance and love. Today I try everything to help her and stay strong with each other. This last month has been really hard to me because of Mother's Days that was close to my birthday, but at the same time it was the same day that my Grandmother had passed away. And last week I had the terrible notice that my Mom has a tumor in her head. The doctors said that it is really hard to operate, and the chances of her having a stroke are great, which made my world fall apart all over again. It has been dark days, but today I found out that Switchfoot (one of my favorite bands of all time) had launched a new album some years ago. Never heard of it since I stopped listening to it after Vice Verses. This made my day and I'm here to say: thank you for making me feel a little better of my situation. I will not give up. Everything will be fine in the end. Love God, family and my friends are what make me feel unbeatable even I'm down the ground. Love you guys. Greetings from Brazil.

¡Bueno! Hello from USA! I also have someone I fell in love with after I got ran over in 2016. I fell in love ❤️ with him RIGHT off the bat b/c of the substance he quit. Before anyone gets upset please, let me explain. I have an addiction/recovery past, so I know from MY pov, what it took (brass tacks) to quit what I quit. He is the most AMAZING man, and I am still very very much in love with him ❤️ I hold near to my heart the day that we'll be together. We just have to get some stuff straight on both of our sides, so we can reunite STRONG. This comment made me really really think about him and the JOY that we'll share when God is ready for us. I have been MADLY in love with my Christopher since 2016. 💙 Here it is, 2023, and on March 7th, it will be my 5 years and 3 months free from alcohol and an alternative religion. His name is Christopher, one of my Princesses is named Winnie Rose, can you dig it? Lol! This gave me a fresh hope for the future. I was wondering if yall could please say a prayer for him, for my Kids and I, my situation and lastly, for God's will to be done, and maybe just one more little prayer for MY patience, please? 🙏 😊 😁

Got barred from all form of contact by parents after one too many apologies, who said I shouldn't feel any guilt, only redemption, after one last explanation. She and I are one and the same, but how can I get through to her? For some reason, I keep going back and forth between hope and hopelessness, faith and fear. I know God's all I need, but for His sake I can't give up on her. As you said, the Lord gives and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the Name of the Lord. Do I reach out again ("Whispers in the Dark" comes to mind here) or keep waiting? Also, is there anything in specific you want me to pray about for you?

I remember this song very well because during awakening fest (when that was around) it would always rain. It just so happens that switchfoot was preforming. It started to rain harder and our worship grew louder. At one point the lead singer goes crowd surfing and he just so happened to be above me. Everyone wanted to hold him, so I go crushed by everyone. By some chance he took my hat (fedora) . Went back on stage to finish the song and he tipped my hat to everyone and then gave my hat back to me. Really cool I will never forget!

Today I'm traveling..... I've spent 5 months in Hawaii(working and surfing) 4 months in Malaysia, 1 month in Bali(surfing) , I month in Koh Tao, Thailand(SCUBA certs/diving)... as of today I've returned to Malaysia.... been here for 8 months.... tomorrow I'm heading back to Koh Tao to do my "Dive Master" course and hopefully my "Certified PADI/SSI SCUBA Instructor course......... as you can see, this song and video has had a huge impact on my life.... So THANK YOU PS: I'm a US citizen and never in my life owned a passport before hearing your song..... but it's not about the traveling..... Jordan Crago no, not most, some yeah, but not most. Most is very biblical. And there are a lot of songs that are corny and cookie cutter and unrealistic or even flat out bs/lies, but I think those are written from a place of hopefulness and wishing that was how things are/how they want things/themselves to be. Or at least most of those types of songs are anyway. But from what I've been finding lately(cause I thought like you for a long time and wouldn't ever listen to most Christian bands even tho I am a follower and was a youth & children's worship leader for 3 years and would only listen to and liked a select few songs that were actually true and deep and really meaningful) there are actually tons and tons of amazing bands and artists out there that have incredible songs that are very deep and totally filled with truth and are meaningful and very relative and relatable as well and full of hope and joy and love and optimism but not in a way that's dumb and makes you go "oh shut up that's such crap and fake and untrue and not remotely realistic or real" but rather in a way that gives you goose bumps and makes all your hair stand up and puts a bunch of dust in your eyes and a knot in your stomach or a lump in your throat and touches your heart in a great way. Which is when you know that's good music and God is at the center of it speaking to all of us through that music and touching our lives with those words. Seriously, just do some searching on here and you'll find what I'm talking about. You can also listen to K-Love Air-1 and Family Life Radio for many of those songs too because they are now playing those and 90% of songs on their stations are those songs now instead of the old cookie cutter dumb bs unrealistic songs. It's really wonderful and I haven't listened to any other stations in over a year now and rarely even play my iPod anymore cause of the change in the song quality they have put in place. I love it! And I can't thank my wife enough for always keeping those 3 stations on the presets and never letting me change them to stations I used to listen to, because without her and her immovability on that I'd not be where I am now with all this. I love her even more for that.
