Even though i made a comment about this from my hospital room 8 years ago after surviving my brain tumor, id like to say that this song has helped me through so much and i truly am never changing who I am.
Listening to this reminds me of grade 4, when the whole class was returning from a school trip on a bus. The driver put this song on the speakers and everyone in our class remembered it from our practices in music class. We were all screaming this song at the top of our lungs. Having the time of our lives, shouting like the whole world couldn't hear us. And for four minutes, nothing else mattered. I was surrounded by friends who would leave, friends who would stay, and friends who I would remember for the rest of my life. I cherish this song and this memory to be one of the greatest moments of my childhood. Thankyou Imagine Dragons.

About 3 or 4 months ago i was battling depression and had suicidal thoughts from people telling me that "I'd never amount to anything good in life" or that "I'm a worthless being." I started to think "who'll even remember me...i'm just a stupid 13 year old kid that cant make a difference" But one day. One day changed everything when a song came on. It talked about "building up from the bottom of a pit" and "never changing who I am." Immediately after that day I went back to my house and immediately bust into tears, it was the first time i was able to truly smile in weeks. That day the name Imagine Dragons was the name of a group that i'd never forget. You've probably hear many experiences like this...but it still just seems right to thank you for opening my eyes to a better life because with out you..i wouldn't be here today. My dad retired from the Air Force over eight years ago but still flies planes to this day. We all watched a memory of pictures that were taken during his work as one as well as other pictures with me and my family. This was the song that first played when we watched that very montage. I still love him and still see him as of writing this as I’m finishing up my first semester as a Junior in High School. He’s a great man and I salute him for his service.

This was one of the first Imagine Dragons songs I ever heard. It's hard to believe that I've been listening to them and they've been my favourite band for 10 years. I came to listen to this song again right after I heard of the story of Tyler

My dad retired from the Air Force over eight years ago but still flies planes to this day. We all watched a memory of pictures that were taken during his work as one as well as other pictures with me and my family. This was the song that first played when we watched that very montage. I still love him and still see him as of writing this as I’m finishing up my first semester as a Junior in High School. He’s a great man and I salute him for his service.

Listening to this reminds me of my brother’s high school graduation 7 years ago and I loved the song because it would remind me that one day I would be in his shoes walking across the stage and receiving my diploma. Now this year I’m in my final year of high school and I might not experience that. Making this song being a painful reminder of that one important moment in life that I may never get to experience 😪

This song is in memory of a make a wish kid who became friends with imagine dragons. The kid, who is named Tyler, his wish was a gift to his friend. He got his friend the best computer for his wish, and then died a few years later. Imagine dragons dedicated this song to him, Rest In Peace Tyler.
