Hi, just watched your video after purchasing a new 2022 white xsr700, and I’m pleased you seam to love this bike as much as I do, I’ve been biking for over forty years, and owned all sorts of bikes from motocross bikes to Kawasaki z1000, this bike makes me feel like a teenager again, thank you Yamaha. Top video 👍

Hi, I purchased one in July in the same colour. I was in a financial position to be able to get a second bike and was seriously looking at a Royal Enfield, but just couldn’t commit to that brand. I was looking for a middleweight naked bike and out of all the brands Yamaha’s XSR700 won the day. Riding the 700 is like riding a bicycle compared to my VFR 1200 crosstourer as it’s 120 kg lighter but such a cool bike, overjoyed with mine 👌

I think you’ve made an excellent choice. I really loved this bike. I too would have picked this over a Royal Enfield. Compared to the VFR, you must feel like you can throw this around - it is so nimble. Ride safe and thanks for the comment!

Absolutely adore mine in the good black and gold. The white colorway is amazing as well.

Comprehensive review. After a long riding career riding bikes of ever increasing capacity, I am now retired in Asia and riding a KTM 390 Duke. I fancy something a bit bigger and I reckon this fits the bill. Great value bike.

Thanks for the comment - much appreciated! I had the 390 Duke and then went to the MT07. So very similar transition!

Thank you, I had an MT07 as my first bike, i sold that last year and got a street triple r. I loved the Street triple but honestly....it was just too easy to ride and quite boring, sounds daft right? For me...the MT07 had so much more character and you could work up the gears more. I've now had to sell my Striple due to finances, really gutted, but i'm hoping in the future i can think of getting the XSR 700. I love the anniversary yellow one and i like the retro looking motorcycles. I'm quite short though, around 5'5 myself therefore i'd like to know how you got on with touching the floor with it been a higher seat? Thanks again

I’m sorry to hear you had to sell mate, but like you said, look to the future, the XSR is a really decent bike, looks good for the money as well.

I got one since it came out 7 years ago. It never had any issues, but I changed the suspension to Wilbers in front and back since the ones it comes with are nothing to write home about. On bad roads it's not the best choice though.

Hopefully the suspension upgrade has made a decent difference ! Ride safe 🤙

No the XSR 900 does though. Shame as the R7 got one, but not the xsr700 or MT07.

I hate how demo bikes are never run in.
The distributor ought to get some miles on it first.
    I volunteer!
