I’m buying my first bike in June, more than likely going to get an XSR 700 or Mt 07 it’s ultimately going to boil down to the best deal I can get. Thanks for the informative video
Thanks for another great video. Subscribed. The xsr700 was actually my wish to be my first bike. However, once I sat on it, it felt a tad to high for my 5'5" so I sat on the mt07 that was right next to it, and I fell in love. It felt so much better for my height and considering the same engine I bought the mt07. Love that bike
@@CappuccinoMoto It's not that much of a difference. But from a beginner's perspective the difference between flat footing and slightly tiptoeing was pretty huge.
Same here except I just bought the Kawasaki 650rs in black which is just 2 inches lower and I’m 5’8. But it’s not confidence inspiring to have to lean your bike slightly to the side on one foot, or have 3 toes touching the ground on either side while at stoplights. Glad you found the bike for you!
Shout out to your girlfriend on the scrambler! She looks same age, we have the same bike, and we are the same height.. heh.. The scrambler was actually my first bike after taking a motorcycle training course. I couldn’t stand the stock seat though! They call it a ball crusher but it’s also a crotch bone digger. Especially on long rides! I went with the mustang seat and never looked back! Tell her it’s so worth it despite the cost! I also got the Ohlin rear shock and I realize this is common to say but I have to do it.. it was like riding a while different bike. I could take corners, make turns and even do slow maneuvers with much more confidence. Also, riding on the freeway… I felt so much safer with the better shock. It’s just a must to get if you plan on keeping that bike for another year or 2. Thanks for reading! Be safe you cats!
This is my first ever bike as a brand new rider. Here in New Zealand it is restricted to 655cc, 52HP, and a throttle plate. So it's been a great bike to learn on it and as soon as lockdown is over I cannot wait to do some big rides. Great video with good points, especially about safety first.

Cappuccino Moto glamster review! I have mine arriving today after seeing your video of it. Was debating for a while then seeing the matte black “in person” sealed the deal :-)
I'm 20 and I've been wanting a bike for the past 3-4 years but just haven't had the chance to buy one. That being said, the xsr is definitely what I'm wanting to get once I do. I'm so glad I found your channel yesterday, I've been watching moto vloggers so long but yesterday I binge watched all your content and you've definitely made it to the top of my favorite moto vloggers. It was before you painted your tank white. Actually it is you, the comments say your instagram haha.
I actually just got an xsr7 as a beginner bike. I love it... except the pretty twitchy low speed throttle response. It can pretty easily buck you off if you are not super gentle with the throttle and friction zone. Which is kind of a shame as it can mashes you a little at with the throttle from a stop which can stall you pretty bad.
Wow, I just got really excited and weirdly proud when I noticed that you’re in Cincinnati! You definitely make the city look classy. Really loving everything about these videos, man. The bike is absolutely gorgeous. Your build is super inspiring to me.

I bought myself an XSR700 yesterday!! I agree with you about that first "feeling" you get the moment you step on a bike. It's almost an instinct kinda thing..I'm coming from a Yamaha XJR 1300 so it's quite a step down but I don't really care actually haha Anyway love the content. Keep up the good work!
Thanks!! and welcome to the xsr gang! a step down in engine displacement and hp, but i'm interested to see how it holds up and if you're missing anything compared to the 1300.
There is one day which is common for every biker. It is first slide day. I wish you and your girlfriend that, during that day you will be smart enough to wear suitable protection gear.
Hope you're not wishing a slide on our behalf, haha. but I'm a semi-gear type of guy. Each their own. PS. wearing kevlar lined jeans, d30 foam padding, and leather. My first bike as well. Used MT07 at driving school and I think the XSR is even easier to ride; more comfortable riding stance as well. Fantastic bike to learn on and you won’t outgrow it.. ever I think haha. Can be a hooligan machine if you want to or just a smooth ride that also sounds amazing with a system on.
CB300F. I driver it from Philly to lower Maine and back to visit my buddy. Terrible trip for a 300cc bike with 200lb of gear + 200lb rider + loud exhaust + 70mph the whole way. Haha. Then got an FZ07 that was stolen a year later. Buying my XSR700 today
Useful vid man, huge thanks! Between these two bikes (Duc and the XSR), I am still hesitant. I am also 5’11 and tested the Ducati, and it’s totally true that the bike feels small... the XSR solves that issue with its bigger fuel tank and the optional seat that Yamaha sells. I will definitely be choosing the XSR when Covid give us a break in Spain. Any exhaust recommendations for the XSR? I’ve heard it stock and doesn’t excite me as much as the Ducati did... Cheers!
Check out the exhaust SC project conic 70s. But there a bunch of options out there. I have a video coming soon to talk my exhaust soon. And nice to hear I’m not the only one with relationship to the Ducati haha.
Anybody ever toured on this bike? It’s on my list as a commuter bike. But I’m thinking of touring Europe a little. It’s unlikely I’ll go off road. Think Scandinavia, Germany, France and maybe England and Scotland (maybe Ireland) - those kind of roads.
What kind of bike is she riding? looks really cool. The XSR700 looks amazing and seems like a perfect A2 bike, afterwards justbtake the restrictor kit off and you can use it with a full A liscence!
Thanks for the reply! It's basically that we have 3 licenses. A, A2 and A1. A1 is only 125cc with 11Kw in power. A2 is unlimited cc but the bike Kan only have a max of 35kw (or 47bhp). The XSR 700 is above that and falls in the A license (unrestricted in cc and power) but with a restrictor kit you can make sure it keeps withing the power limits of A2 and then after 2 years of A2 I can get a unrestricted A license and take it out to get the full power of the bike! With a bike like this it's definitely not underpowered when you get it unrestricted, and it probably doesn't feel like a small of weak bike and it would be cheaper to invest in this bike instead of buying two bikes for the licenses!
Awesome video keep making them! With your eye for photography/cinematography you could really make this an awesome page . Loved the shot that started at 15:28 by the way. Very cool!
Went and looked at an xsr700 today and really jacked about it. Gunna try to negotiate a bit because Im really digging it. Haha I’ll let you know if it happens. Also love the vibes of these videos. Just found ur profile yesterday

Thanks Alexandre! It was a tough choice the 900 has quite a bit of power my man. Like crazy power haha. But honestly I enjoyed riding the 700 better, it fit me better and I like the look of it better. The 900 is a bit more sporty in my opinion. I’m big on visuals ... haha.
@@CappuccinoMoto I´m going to be honest with you...i bought the 900 and yes it is crazy power! I thought i would like it more because of the power but now i see that maybe the 700 would be enough...My height is 6,2 and my weight is 195lbs so i can handle the bike but in the end i think i don t need that crazy power, what i need is to enjoy the ride (but i like very much off my bike XD) Continue to make this videos!
Love the video keep it up! I just got mine a few weeks ago!!! 2019 xsr700. Saw yours on the gram and I was like yeah that's gonna be my first bike! Still, a bit intimidated by it as its my very first motorcycle, and I only have MSF course experience. So I am going to be practicing in a parking lot for a while. You mentioned that you were able to lower the seat height from 32 to 30. I am 5 7" and have a short inseam so I tippy-toe when I am on it and I feel losing 2 inches on the height would greatly improve my confidence on the bike. Where did you get the seat and was it custom?
Welcome to the team! (Wish Yam would notice haha) Seat was modified by Brogue Motorcycles. They do killer work! Check them out. I should have a promo code on my webpage somewhere.
you forgot to say cost of ownership/Ducati with expensive valve adjustments will cost considerably lot more and not provide better experience compare to Xr700.This bike is a hoot to ride.Lot more then Ducati Scambler far more.
I own an xsr 155 60th gp i bought it to see if i want the 700. I own a Ducati Scrambler Nightshift 2022 and a Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer Limited the silver one with the 48 side plate), and a sportster 100 and a Royal Enfield Scram 411. The Scrambler Ducati is better than the XSR but the XSR is much cheaper after salesservice and maintenance. As a first bike NOOOOOOOO!. First bike i recommend a Royal Enfield
I love the scrambler and the dealer I got my xsr from galena to be also a ducati dealer. I just really didn't have that excess 4 or so grand to throw in on it. I am going to scramblerfy my xsr for sure. I love the style for sure
@@Leanne_is_not_okay the bolt has a lot of power too!! i think the riding position of th xsr is "kinder" and also more versatile bike overall... the bolt is a great bike also, but its kind of a knock off of the sportster, looks "funny".... the only thing imperative to change first thing when getting the xsr is the horrendous headlight... any amazon led for 40-70 buck would do just fine
pretty funny to get lectured about saftey by some guy and his gf that both dont wear proper saftey gear. The perfect height of your bikes wont do shit when you eat pavement. Sorry but that had to be said. Tshirts and apparently non kevlar jeans without protectors oof. Even that cute little gloves dont even have anything preventing them from sliding off with a little ground contact.
Had to be said, had to be said.... get your eyes off my gal! ;) Kevlar head to ankle, but either gear or not the point about bike safety still stands. Your bike being safe to ride would prevent you or help you from going down. This wouldn't be a chicken/egg situation. Have you ever been down on a slide, and do you design gloves, my guy?

I respectfully disagree, The XSR700 is not a beginner bike unless it´s limited to 48 HP and even then it´s going to be difficult for beginners not to crash it and hurt themselves. However, it´s a perfect 2nd bike. My case: Beginners lack throttle control, balancing skills at slow speed maneuvers, Grip knowledge and understanding, braking technique, etc... All these skills and things are more important than the bike´s technology or HP, you can easily lose your life on a 6HP 50cc moped as with a 200HP Kawasaki track monster, and I´ve seen too many people who overestimate their skill level and don´t make it past a month from buying a new bike. You come from a dirt riding background, as do I, so it is hard for us to imagine how difficult controlling a motorcycle can be for a beginner. I realized this when I taught my GF how to ride, it took her a year to be able to ride on a road after countless lessons in parking lots, and that is with a 125 9HP scooter, she would never dare to get on a 75HP wheelie monster. I also understand that there is a wide spectrum, there are people like us who learn quickly and could easily master a 75HP within a month, but there are others who take years just to learn how NOT to lock up the breaks in an emergency or to NOT target fixate. So if you are one of the few who can learn quickly, agile, have previous experience, and are willing to practice and learn constantly, then sure, the XSR will be perfect for you, and if you belong to the other 90%, don´t even get close to this bike because you are going to come home in a coffin. Hope this was helpful. And that isn´t even taking into account other drivers and their mistakes. Great video by the way. Have a nice day:)
Nice video! However, you keep talking about "safety".. yet the girl in the video is only wearing a helmet. Reinforced boots/gloves and a good backplate is a bare minimum if you care about safety at all.

Says look who it is, doesn’t say who it is.....thought it was maybe a brother or friend until he said she. Definitely shouldn’t promote your girl being a squid, especially while talking about safety. You can be on a 125 scooter or a liter bike, if you’re a squid you’re going leave your skin on the pavement the moment you go down.

Fantastic bike to learn on and you won’t outgrow it.. ever I think haha. Can be a hooligan machine if you want to or just a smooth ride that also sounds amazing with a system on.
Very true. Has a lot more potential than I put it through! Interesting comparison about the mt07
What was your first moto?! Mine was a Honda XR70 ... I was maybe 10 years old :)
my first bike is XSR700 and yes it could be a beginner bike :)
Honda CB1 - beautiful little 400. 16 valve. Gear driven cams. Grew into it. Perfect platform to upgrade from but excellent in its own right.
@@ghidirayojimbo1689 agreed!
Mine was a 1989 Honda Hurricane 600.
Akra or Arrow if you like almost a Harley sound
I got the xsr900 as my first bike
What year is this bike? Love the color combo...is that custom?
Love the tasteful mods!
Are there mods for the subframe and headlight brackets that look like the xsr900? (the metal with holes)
She's riding the Ducati Scrambler Icon. Great bike! I dont know much about A licenses being in the states?
Very cool!
Thanks! It started out as a good idea ... then the GoPro clamp couldn’t hold it haha.
Bro nice content what mic are you using? Thanks!
This bike is real nice love the style
Went and looked at an xsr700 today and really jacked about it. Gunna try to negotiate a bit because Im really digging it. Haha I’ll let you know if it happens. Also love the vibes of these videos. Just found ur profile yesterday
For sure my future xsr brother! :) It's a great ride, man. Hope all turns out well!
Cappuccino Moto picked it up today! So excited it's unreal, already got the passenger pegs off. Also gotta get one of those sold out cappuccino Moto keychains!!
I reckon that small tank filler part is $12.95 + $3.95 for shipping
Total $16.95 🤞🏼
I wish it was close to this :)
Cappuccino Moto ohh man! Really!? But it, appears, to be such a small part! Eeek!
I know, I am sure it costs like $1 to make haha

I feel like beginners really should only start on a 250 like a ninja 250
You’re going to outgrow a 250 in about a month of riding
i feel like a puppet riding a motorcycle from sesame street is talking to me with those flicking hands
Funny - when you talk about safety at the beginning while not using the indicators :P
Excellent video!
Agree with any bike could be a starter bike!
One question...Why didn t you chosse the XSR900?
Thanks Alexandre! It was a tough choice the 900 has quite a bit of power my man. Like crazy power haha. But honestly I enjoyed riding the 700 better, it fit me better and I like the look of it better. The 900 is a bit more sporty in my opinion. I’m big on visuals ... haha.
@@CappuccinoMoto I´m going to be honest with you...i bought the 900 and yes it is crazy power!
I thought i would like it more because of the power but now i see that maybe the 700 would be enough...My height is 6,2 and my weight is 195lbs so i can handle the bike but in the end i think i don t need that crazy power, what i need is to enjoy the ride (but i like very much off my bike XD)
Continue to make this videos!
Even though I never ride any high cc bikes but I guess I can handle even xsr 900
What brand gloves are you wearing in this vid?
Nice gloves man, which brand are they?
What's that color scheme on the XSR, is that custom? Looks great. Thx
(Wish Yam would notice haha)
Seat was modified by Brogue Motorcycles.
True. I left out a lot haha. Taking while riding is something I need to learn better :)
Great video and channel. Thanks
The footage at the end was 👌 a bit of adjusting, add to next time if possible
Haha trying to get better hahaha
Cappuccino Moto 💪
I want one so bad. I have a deposit down for a 2022. Do you have an aftermarket exhaust on yours?
No vid posted for a few years... Where is that guy????
I own an xsr 155 60th gp i bought it to see if i want the 700. I own a Ducati Scrambler Nightshift 2022 and a Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer Limited the silver one with the 48 side plate), and a sportster 100 and a Royal Enfield Scram 411. The Scrambler Ducati is better than the XSR but the XSR is much cheaper after salesservice and maintenance. As a first bike NOOOOOOOO!. First bike i recommend a Royal Enfield
Any thoughts on the XSR700 vs the Moto Guzzi V7 (2021)?
hey! where is your camera is mounted while riding?
Where are you gone bro?
Nice video my dude!
Thanks my man!
General question about moto vlogging: Are you recording a voice over after the ride? Do you see that as easier, better or not worth the extra time?
where did you get these white tank panels ? . they are plastc or aluminium ?
Being 6 feet 3 inches, do you think the Bike will be to small for me?
I love the scrambler and the dealer I got my xsr from galena to be also a ducati dealer. I just really didn't have that excess 4 or so grand to throw in on it.
I am going to scramblerfy my xsr for sure.
I love the style for sure
could you tell me what l/km you make on that bike. what was the best you made, thank you
You're #1 criteria is 'Safety'? Did you tell your gf cuz she riding around in a tshirt, capris and vans! Other than that, nice vid!
What do you think of the xsr700 for beginners or should I get a Yamaha bolt?
Just asking just cause I’m 5ft
@@Leanne_is_not_okay the bolt has a lot of power too!! i think the riding position of th xsr is "kinder" and also more versatile bike overall... the bolt is a great bike also, but its kind of a knock off of the sportster, looks "funny".... the only thing imperative to change first thing when getting the xsr is the horrendous headlight... any amazon led for 40-70 buck would do just fine
What you ride in tennis shoes?!?!?! TISK TISK TISK ATGATT bro ATGATT
Vans aren't kevlar lined?! :) ATGSOTT
How do you compare it to the xsr900
im riding a xr650 enduro but i think i would get bored with one whats the 900 like
pretty funny to get lectured about saftey by some guy and his gf that both dont wear proper saftey gear.
Hello im 5ft and 4 inches can i ride the xsr700 as a beginner bike
it will be a bit tall, but should be okay. Not sure what other bike would be better or lower that is similar. Maybe the scrambler 62?
Have you ridden the Ducati? Which is more fun to ride...the Ducati or the XSR? Why didn’t you buy the Ducati?
Hey Jacob, $29.71 (on sale)!
CLOSE!!!! Maybe the one I got from Partzilla was slightly differently (more) discounted hahaa.
Always enjoy watching you ride and hearing your thoughts about the bike & gear...keep up the outstanding work!

All mine! :)
Cappuccino Moto 😂😂😂✊🥇
o dear bare arms no ankle protection skin grafts ouch ?
Is that black helmet the AGV X3000?
would it be mad to get a XSR900 as first ride?
Yes
Do u use just one mirror?
Would you recommend mirrors under the handle bar instead on top?
I like the look of mirrors under the bar better but can’t get it to work in the xsr. But I think it’s safer on top... up to you tho!
Cappuccino Moto what do you mean it doesn’t work? Could swear I’ve seen other xsr700s with bar end under mirrors
JK47 bar ends fit. Thinking of that under-slung bar end style. Where it clamps inside the grip. You know? That clashes with the tank.
@@CappuccinoMoto Ahh ok yes I get what you're saying
JK47 hard to describe via text haha. But I thought that’s what original commenter was asking about.
Dude, is it an original exaust? I was wondering sometimes if it's Ducati, we're hearing :P It sounds really juicy.
It isn’t the original the original sounds quiet but you can get a better one for around 900$
SC Project Conic 70's :) I got a video on that too.
$35.95 with 9.95 shipping?

I'm 5'6" lol guess I'm screwed.
I should have known this the guy was clueless when he stared into the camera clicking his fingers.
Don't snap at me you bloody..
