    Technique over technology my friend, that's the only way to improve and truly be a rider.

    "...if your not a smoker, for like moustache wax or something, in true cafe-racer fashion" 🤣 you're getting really good at these good quotes. Nice to see that the channel has grown. Only 2 things: I agree that keeping your feet on the pegs is the most secure thing and please get rid of those Nikes and put on some decent shoes when you're riding a motorcycle

    The upper “fairing” is called the windshield/wind deflector on a motorcycle. Besides, the lower “bash plate” is indeed a fairing, or part of it, it is not meant to protect, but rather a aestethics add-on that many naked motorcycle owners put them on. Yeah, it can marginally serve the purpose to avoid small on road debris to impact on your down pipes. Was the owner a spaniard? I am one and it seemed that. Keep on with the channel!

    I have 2023 Fantic Caballero 700. This bike has the same CP2 engine but it offers a slipper assist clutch, cornering ABS and TC for almost the same price but only one disc at the front. For me overall the way better option. It has a stock arrow exhaust which sounds so good, a colored dash with a lot of information and it has way more character and looks better.

    I think the only real issue with the bike is the stock suspension being horrible, when you can get a Z650RS or SV650 for the same amount of money that comes with much better suspension out of the box, it's definitely a harder sell. But other than that, the simplicity of this bike is beautiful, and a big selling point. I hate the idea of having all sorts of rider modes and aids for different situations, it just bloats the riding experience when I just want to get on and go.
    Imagine how well off we'd be if manufacturers would save money on tech and put it into suspension and brakes instead of the other way around on these more affordable models.

      @@jaide1312 manufacturers know that you want better suspension over tech that’s why they don’t give it to you to sell the SP versions let’s say 😂

    I have to suggest that you keep both feet on the footpegs at all times when a bike is in motion above walking speed. You're riding on pavement, not dirt, and you know what a broken ankle feels like. Please keep your feet up and move your upper body position instead.

      @FreeMilesMC I would say off-road is completely different, but speeds are generally lower and controlling grip with inappropriate tires is very difficult. In a few years you'll be a very qualified rider on all road surfaces if you keep this pace. This bike is not my style visually, but looks great in motion. Have you thought about reviewing the more popular vintage bikes? I think it would be interesting to see you on an early CB750K or an XS650 for instance.

    You guessed it, I also tried that one years ago. I was nice. I actually liked it better than the XSR900; the suspension setup worked so much better on the small one. But as with all the other bikes I tried - a second-hand Street Triple blew it out of the water. Nuff said. xD

    Can the front and rear preload be adjusted on this bike? At almost 10,000 U.S. dollars and the bike being so bare bones with only ABS, I believe that there are better options on the market! For the price, I will definitely stay with my Honda Rebel CMX1100 which is performance and feature rich! It looks like Yamaha went for form over function with this model. Awesome video, thanks. 😎🇺🇸✌️

    How does this compare to the new CB750 Hornet. I am waiting for CB750 Hornet to come to Canada maybe next season. Tnx for the video

    • @jaide1312
      @jaide1312 4 месяца назад +1

      Hornet has more power, though I don't know how much you'd notice that when the focus with this kind of bike is more on the torque, the stock exhaust sounds worse and you can't get a slip on like with the hornet, and the stock suspension is horribly underdamped which makes it sketchy to ride on bumpy roads. The main reasons I'd pick the XSR over the Hornet would be the looks and lack of electronics, but if you don't care that much about those the hornet is probably the better buy.

    • @mahdavimail
      @mahdavimail 4 месяца назад

      @@jaide1312 Hornet has a little more HP and top end which I like for highway in north America roads. Also Hornet has less compression ratio which helps with our crappy gas here. I care less about exhaust sound as I am getting older but xsr for sure is more beautiful retro design. I can’t have it all unfortunately 😅

  • @garyives1218

    I'll never understand "naked" bikes. I do love the look of "retro" bikes like Moto Guzzi V7, RE 650s, and Triumph Bonneville, many Harleys, but "naked" bikes are like the motorcycle equivalent of a sporty hatchback missing it's hood, fenders and bumper.....IMHO, too much exposed plumbing and gadgets. That's far from pretty. They are bikes that really should have their junk covered by a fairing, but don't.

    • @crazybikinifighter
      @crazybikinifighter 5 месяцев назад

      That's exactly why people like naked bikes. Most of the "fun" of a fully faired sports bike and none of the wrist, neck and back pain.
