    Brilliant video mate..I've got the same stove, love it.
    Tell you a good idea to try. Heat the stainless pan dry on a medium to high heat, for about a minute. Get a tea spoon of water and drop it on. If the water turns to little balls and floats about, then it means the pan is ready.
    Then stick an egg on it. It'll be non stick.
    Try the frying pan over a gas cooker inside your kitchen if you want to see the result easier

    To get the simmer ring OFF you just rotate the windshield, lift off, then on, rotate, resume cooking. As others have said the gas converter gives you easier fine control, but the meths is a good backup fuel.
    Most people eat out of the pan you'd just cooked into save on weight but if car camping, what most people do is leave the burner on and put water in the pan immediately, let the water boil+clean the pan while you eat, and it then wipes clean.

      @@GeekfromYorkshire More great tips, thank you I appreciate it 👍 I’m going to give them all a try. I’m really enjoying using the Trangia & it’s a great car camping/overlanding stove. I’ve since bought he Trangia plates which are also extremely light weight 👌

    Add the gas burner to it and you be able to control the heat output more easly but keep your spirit burner in case you run out of gas

      Good idea but also get a Trangia Triangle, it packs flat you can keep in the Tangia 25. You then not only have the meths burner as backup to gas but also you can cook multiple things at once.
      If you did then happen to want to cook 2 things at once you can decide which of the 25 or the triangle burn gas or meths, if the general concern is wind then the gas is less prone to wind and so can to the Triangle.
      You can "cook" 2 things are once with the 25 as you can place the wider pot ontop of the smaller pot and do things like just what you had cooked warm or finish off cooking rice or pasta above. Adding the Triangle then gives 2 or 3 things are once.

    • @LoneWolfExplorer
      @LoneWolfExplorer  3 месяца назад +2

      @@GeekfromYorkshire Thanks that’s great advise. I do have one of those little pot supports for the meths burner and also a firebox nano which can also be used with the meths burner but I like the idea of the triangle being able to pack inside the 25 👍

    Finally somebody gets it. The Trangia stoves are the only reliably wind resistant stoves on the market. Mostly too large for backpacking but in any other application, they are your best choice, especially when used with the trangia gas burner. In the Pacific Southwest, beaches , mountains, and deserts are windy environments and the Trangia is the only stove that performs well enough in gusty or sustained winds. If you are actually cooking and not just heating water, you learn quickly which stoves work well and conserve your fuel supply.

    • @LoneWolfExplorer
      @LoneWolfExplorer  3 месяца назад +1

      @@Andrew-r4m Thank you, & yes you are correct it’s not really a great backpacking stove but I’ve yet to try a 27 backpacking. The 25 is ideal though for car camping and even van life. I actually borrowed a camper van today and took my Trangia to cook up a quick & easy lunch. I’m going try it in more windy conditions and see how it performs. Thanks for watching 👍

    Looking to get one. But question about the fuel bottle. Does it come with fuel already in? And if so is it reusable? Like can I take a lid off and fill it up with more fuel.
    Just asking because I’ve seen people use a Stanley ss flask for their fuel carry.
    Thanks again

    • @LoneWolfExplorer
      @LoneWolfExplorer  2 месяца назад +2

      @@GyomeiHimejima89 Yes the fuel bottle is designed to be a refillable. The top screws off, it’s actually a very good design in my opinion.
