Hello from TGS In The Future!!! Fun Fact! A brand new summoning technique called Maximum Summon has been revealed for Rush Duels. Not much is known about it yet but i thought id beat everyone to it and mention it first 😁 Also, allegedly Rush Duels is coming to TCG but only time will tell with that. Bye!
Bro same. I mean nobody ever read the rules right? Everyone was just copying the show. Tbh this is so much better of a game for kids. I really like it. Lots more fun I think.
I recently started playing GOAT format, and it's actually pretty fun if you are looking to play some Classic Yugioh with cards spanning from Legend of Blue Eyes to Lost Millennium
When I get some more money I'm going to order some Rush Duel starter decks and then once the pandemic finally ends try and do so Rush Duels with others who have Rush Duel Starter Decks and actually get Rush Duels popular where I live. Mostly cause I love the whole concept of Rush Duels I stopped playing the actual card game after 5D's due to it getting all overly complicated but I'm thinking about getting back into the card game with the Rush Duels.

Theres another option, "BLUE-EYES ALTERNATIVE WHITE DRAGON" and "BLUE-EYES SPIRIT DRAGON". so there will be and always be 3 "BLUE-EYES" in his deck.( that are also broken cards if they enter this format).

This looks refreshing, but I doubt that it wil find a lot of success. Sadly. Kids these days simply are not interested in card games anymore. The design of the cards are awesome and the game is simple.
@@hockeycrafter6086 For me is kinda, like the fuy said above, refreshing. I mean... It's far more simple and far less "Negate everything". That's impressive I must say because it's still fun
Yeah. But at least Rush Dueling looks simple like the first time everyone was introduced to Yugioh with the original dueling format. Now Yugioh has all sorts of rules etc. Though I wonder does that mean everyone who still playing this original card game gonna move on to Rush Duel.
Andy Yang that’s exactly the problem for me, if you actually go back and play old formats it’s incredibly tedious to play, everybody praises GOAT format but in the end it’s just whoever draws the broken spell first wins.

I really hope this game shows up in the states because I'd love to get my hands on these cards.
Rush duels sound exactly like what I want to play over normal yugioh. I hope that being able to normal/tribute summon and set monsters as many times as you want in a turn is in place of being able to just special summon everything you need from the deck/graveyard. That you'd actually have to draw monsters to use them. I haven't seen what cards exist in rush duels yet though.
Thank you! This explains a lot. I came across the Rush Duels concept yesterday and I thought it was interesting and so far I do like this form of dueling except for the infinite summoning and unlimited hand size. I honestly wished that Master Rules YGO adopted the "requirement -> Effect -> Resolution" approach for card effect design as it would eliminate a ton of weird/niche situations where wording gets confusing.
As a yugioh veteran this change of pace is awesome and simplistic I love it . A buddy of mine are going to use regular cards to do a mock rush duel I think it’s cool
This is such an amazing video. Short, informative, and straight to the point. I love your style of explanation, and how easy you made the rules to sound, and the video itself war really fun t watch. Thanks you for this guide, it cleared so many things about Rush Duel for me.
Wow, a new format!!! I would never have found out about rush duels if not for this video. It sounds like an incredibly refreshing take on the game. I play duel links and have resisted switching over to masterduel because of all the problems you outlined and am excited to try this instead. Thanks for the introduction :)
rush dueling actually sounds so cool. it’s been 10+ years since i even thought about playing ygo and i’m trying to get back into it a bit but dang there’s... so much to learn lol. i’d love if there was a rush version of duel links someday
@@gokurose8811 it's an Arctype just google UA Deck Profile 2020 and you'll get a really good idea about them. Obviously it's a lot of reading but thats yugioh nowadays
@@gokurose8811 yeah not just UA but there are much faster and combo based decks in standard yugioh that I dont even recognize the game anymore. Duel Links on my Android is 10x more fun than standard yugioh
Lol same. But even tho the easy fueling Im too broke to buy any duel cards and even if I had the money my parents hate yugioh so they wouldnt let and even that my country isnt known as an idependent country so I cant really buy duel cards. This is how unlucky I am
I played Yugioh. And new rules etc. keeps on popping out each time a new franchise series happens. Rush Duel is basically Konami saying they are rebranding the playing game.
Yesterday it was confirmed that Yu-Gi-Oh Sevens will finally debut on Disney XD in the United States. It’s just about time for a western release of the Rush Duel format.
I'm liking what I'm hearing about rush duels so far, built in once per turn, the cards having the requirements written before the effect(s), the new artworks for the old cards, and the cards redesign looks aren't half bad, limiting iconic cards to 1 per deck is a bit eh but Overall rush duels sound good on paper and to be honest it's another chance for komoney to unscrew the game, the last time didn't go so well. Well, hopefully rush duels won't be asian exclusive and the rest will get them and hopefully komoney won't mess it up. Also as of now(as far as my knowledge extends) you can play rush duel using yugi pro edo/project ignis variant(kinda of,personally I'm still trying to get the Bot to use a rush duel deck), i don't know about the other variants or the other automated systems.
Im hoping the legend rule is setting up for some boss monsters with interesting and powerful effects rather than just basing them on being iconic. I think its a really cool way to print powerful cards without allowing to mix too many archetypes and filling your deck with bombs
Yep. Given that the card game right now is rigged with new rules etc. it’s so hard to keep track of everything. They should had kept the game simple from the start. My intake is that Rush Duel is Konami rebranding the game from scratch all over again. I hope they keep it simple this time around.
@@andyyang50 problem is i dont think they can just transition into Yugioh 2 and abandon OG yugi unless they want people weary of the longevity of their investments
@@noodle4542 one of which is time summon. It work like this, everytime your friend go to the bathroom you can illegally summon any card you need to your hand and while at it look at the opponent hand, field and deck
I'm glad that Konami finally made Yugioh friendly to casual players. I'm kinda lucky that I can read Japanese but I don't have anyone to play rush duels with since none of my yugioh friends can read it lol
Its funny because this rebrand is for kids. and the Master Rules is for Normal players. But I doo agree that with Links they just destroyed the game completely.
Rush Duels look cool, I also really like how they make it easier to read the cards to see what they do, as someone who struggles to read I appreciate. Second I love the fact that Konami has learned to give effects a Once Per turn to future proofing. I do like MP2 but oh well, second the fact you can empty you're hand only to redraw it all is pretty cool but seems to be a bit ready for something to take advantage of but overall it's pretty cool and fun looking, I want to mess around in the Rush format as it seems pretty casual and fun
This is very refreshing, Yugioh definitely needed this revamp, as new cards and summoning methods were introduced the game became a lot more complicate and was more geared towards veteran players. Not to mention all the overwhelming summon spam that brought about link monsters became very sticky. I’ve been playing Yugioh for years and the whole Link monsters thing killed it for me. Then there’s the bann list there are so many cards in the game that it constantly is getting reworked and revised which I also felt kind of ruined the game. This applies to a lot of long running card games, Cardfight Vangurd realized this far before Yugioh did and I applaud them for that. I’m excited for this new format personally in my opinion but lemme know what you guys think
Card Design? In the other universe: Boy 1: Darn they recall all cards because of design change. I hope they don't do this every time they change the master rule or design. Boy2: Yep, I got broke after their last design change to the cards and ate instant noodles and sardines for a month.
The issue with that is that main game cards often have multiple effects, whereas it seems that any given rush duels monster only has a single effect. This would mean that the already tight space on the card would become even tighter than it already is.
This game looks absolutely amazing this is what yugioh should have been it looks super refreshing and the art and card looks amazing It makes me want to pick this up asap
I remember back in the days i mocked this game for being "the kiddie pool" version of the original game, but i do appreciate the fast pace of this game, everything can happen faster and keep things moving
Love the artwork for these cards, im an old school player but these new designs for rush duels just brings me back to when i first started playing. And it bridges a generation gap between younger up and learning players like my kids and they love it...not to mention its how I get them yo read at times.
Honestly, the very clear separation of cost and effect in the bottom card text should have been the way the cards were always printed. Good god, that’s so much better.
Who's here for duel links and also didn't watch sevens? Ngl, this format seems perfect for me. I've always been kinda slow and can't really build decks well. But here it's like old school yugioh with unlimited normal summons. I haven't been excited for something yugioh in a long time.
This idea of dueling is more fun and GENIUS. It feels like a breath of fresh air that has been contained for 27 years, and this rush duels format has release that said contained air
@@donellebullock7404 Hell, Poke Ball is already busted, 50/50 of just going -1 or activating an effect allowing you to search your whole deck for any monster
I love this. The cards are flashy and easier to read, tribute summon sounds fun as hell in this, the Maximum Summon mechanic is flavourful and anime-y enough, ritual and fusion summons can work better in this format. I'm into this way more than I should have.
As someone who liked YGO as a kid but is coming back to it slightly: I find the new designs way simpler to understand and use than the old one, however iconic the latter may be. Just the level star merge makes it way easier to use; counting the pips on an Egyptian God (for example) was annoying as someone just starting out. I hope they continue to use it in the future!
At one point, Yugioh does not seem to be catered to kids anymore given its complexity. This new format is not really my cup of tea. But I get why it's made.
To be honest, I really liked the idea of separating the effect from the requirement. It make things ridiculous more practical. I would like to have this added to the "original game". But i am not really interested in the rush duel mode indeed.
2 years in the future of this video. I finished Yugioh Rush Duels Dawn of the Battle Royale and it was a joy to play. I think this is reminiscent of the classic yugioh in its early days and it is for sure a breath of fresh air. I would say this yugioh rush duel thing is better than the current yugioh.
I remember getting into Yu-Gi-Oh! when I was younger roughly 2007. I would phase in and out of playing. The last time I bought a pack was when Pendulums came out. I deal with memory issues so I would forget the effects and such. The longer the effects became I got anxiety. With this new format I can get back into it! I'm working on a TCG of my own that's a bit easier.
_"The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent;_ _the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult;_ _the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise."_ *-Alden Nowlen*
That Legend mechanic is straight up stolen from Magic. 😂 At first I was like WTF, but actually, I don't hate it. Would certainly do better internationally than Speed Duels due to the Anime.
A yugioh reboot with the card designs of rush duels would have been great, the whole requirement/effect in the text would have brought in a bunch of players who were intimidated by the long af card text that a lot of cards have. This way the old card designs would still be usable and keep their value
as a og yugioh player i think this is good for the younger gen but the rule u can play as many monsters is a bit fucked up ngl like what are limits any more
When you said an oversimplified version of dueling in your most recent video about the Go Rush series, I had no idea that it was -this- simple. Honestly, I am pretty content with the idea that Rush duels won't (or shouldn't) be coming out internationally. It has the potential to be a great format, but it needs a huge amount of iterating before it can even come close to being more appealing than Master Duel or Speed Duel formats for me personally. Good on Konami for trying to appeal to a younger audience, though. The brand will need it going into the future.
I really like how the rush duels cards look tbh, they're a looot easier to read, i kinda wish they could make the regular cards look like that it would be great for overall accessibility I'd switch to rush duels but the master rules are still a lot more fun imo
ya know at first i didn't really like thought of rush dueling cuz i didn't understand it but when u said summon as much monster as u want i immediately went oo childhood memories yes
The new anime looks like trash, but these rules for rush duels are actually really good. Definitely a positive step forward for the game instead of a new summoning mechanic that Everyone will abuse somehow
[Summary] The yu-gi-oh trading card game has finally reverted to a NORMAL CARD GAME. something you can just pick up and play with a random stranger causes the rules are so easy to understand, and people can just play for fun while still having room for being competitive if one wants it to be so. but won't have MASSIVE segregation from casual to competitive player just like MTG(at the at most isn't as bad as yugioh master rule)
@NeoSDgod I don't believe that last statement about Magic The Gathering. In MTG a separation of Cas player to Comp player is the same for all strategy based card games. That's just how it works
i feel like im gonna enjoy this better as a non competetive board game. like having 4 comander decks (magic the gathering) built to play against each other.
Sevens by the art style and fact that characters are kids, combined with "simplifying rules" feels like Konami preferes more younger people to play the game.
I mean, I'm a Master Duelist, but of this can get more people in and not have competitive people dominating casuals. I have seen way too many quit about that.
This sure feels like they happened across old videos of the early video games and Duelist Kingdom anime arc along with watching little kids try to play regular Yu-Gi-Oh and they just... had a moment where the stars aligned. Summon whatever you want and refill your hand to full does seem to take a note from Forbidden Memories and Duelist of the Roses hand mechanic and fusion/bump mechanic, but without so much card waste like those games had. This looks really neat and I hope I can check out the Switch game to see how this actually plays when that comes out stateside.
So what I'm hearing is, this is just Speed Duels, but if Speed Duels actually lived up to their name. Yeah, unfortunately that means we're definitely not getting it internationally, as it would kill off Speed Duels, and Konami would see that as a loss. Sucks too, because it would make them SO MUCH MONEY. As a veteran player, I would honestly play this over traditional YGO almost any day. Why? Because it's faster and easier to play, easier to teach, and would, for the time being, be rid of the bloody meta-decks plaguing normal YGO. The ONLY thing I could possibly ask for is for it to be cheaper than regular.
A few issues here 1. We know (albeit by an undisclosed source) that sevens is being dubbed after vrains this means it's likely see Rush in the TCG 2. We also know that rush has been internationally trademarked another give away that it'll eventually come to other regions 3. Every game has a meta Even rush duel Even speed duel There has always been and will always be a meta
I hope this format blows up in popularity. While I never played competitive, I quit following around the time 5Ds premiered with Synchros: this would definitely made for an app game like Duel Links & its easy to learn.

When it comes out internationally I'll be giving it a shot
It's not confirmed but it seems that won't be happening
@@guythat779 i know a I'm just saying when it does even if it comes out 2 years from now I'll be trying it
@@Doceli-dg3cn aight, cool beans
They'll only consider it once the Sevens dub is a resounding success imo, don't forget that OCG started three years before the TCG
You can try them on EDOpro
My little brother would love this. He doesn’t like that you can only Normal Summon once per turn in Master Rules, so this is perfect for him
Get him a UA deck stat!
Roberto Fernandez I know Yu-Gu-Oh, but not that well. What is that exactly?
@@gokurose8811 it's an Arctype just google UA Deck Profile 2020 and you'll get a really good idea about them. Obviously it's a lot of reading but thats yugioh nowadays
Roberto Fernandez Yeah, that’s why they made these Rush Duel cards, huh?
@@gokurose8811 yeah not just UA but there are much faster and combo based decks in standard yugioh that I dont even recognize the game anymore. Duel Links on my Android is 10x more fun than standard yugioh
"You can summon unlimited monsters in one turn"
Meta decks: aren't we?
Tbh I'm not a mega brain duelest so this is perfect for me.
Even though I've never played yugioh in my entire life.
That's the point for rush dueling. It's for new and younger players to ease them in to Yugioh. Hopefully we get them in English though
edge lord lol smooth brains
Rush Duel:Kids
Speed Duels:Casual
Master Duel:Pro
Turbo Duel IRL:GODS
@@SebastianCova yeah me too. This is a fresh and promising new start(with some damn fine artworks) and i really hope konami doesn't screw it up.
@@SebastianCova i really hope it goes that way
You can't summon a bunch of monsters on your first turn
Yuya and Yuga: Screw you, se make our own rules
I just realised
this is exactly how everyone played when we we're kids
Rush duels: summon a bunch of monsters in one turn.
Pendulum summoning: summon a bunch of monsters in one turn.
Brilliant job Konami
Pendulums are dead since they hit PePe, the Link Monster and also because of Master Rule 4
(Insert screw the rules joke here)
there's still a tons of ways to summon a bunch of monsters in one turn even without rush duels or pendulums.
I’m excited for this new format personally in my opinion but lemme know what you guys think
i like the card design
like the level and skill explanation
espexially in a rank 10 xyz where they make me count stars all the time
This format seems like it would heavily favor stall/burn decks considering how quickly people could rip through a 40 card deck
Well as we will get new cards overall maybe the stalling cards will get slight changes
I actually like the star of because I always have to count the star for sychro summon to see if it add up
Time to ready up for Sevens world in Duel Links
I have to say, some of the QoL stuff like the requirements/effects being separated and wording being simplified would be welcome in the main game.
Honestly I kinda would like if the card design made it to Master Rules
Card Design?
In the other universe:
Boy 1: Darn they recall all cards because of design change.
@@cruelcumber5317 Obviously, there are Black Dots in their effects, signifies the different effects of that monster. Like in Bullet Formed.
This game looks absolutely amazing this is what yugioh should have been it looks super refreshing and the art and card looks amazing It makes me want to pick this up asap
Cannot wait for the Rush Duel Update in Duel Links in Germany :)
Konami trademarked “Rush Duel” internationally recently so we might see the format in the TCG at some point.
I remember back in the days i mocked this game for being "the kiddie pool" version of the original game, but i do appreciate the fast pace of this game, everything can happen faster and keep things moving
LMAO this basically solves the problem for me with current YGO
What i took from the anime is rush dueling is basically if pendulum summoning and speed duels had a baby
This idea of dueling is more fun and GENIUS. It feels like a breath of fresh air that has been contained for 27 years, and this rush duels format has release that said contained air
Who’s watching this to prep for Rush in Duel Links?
Me
2023 and still no sign of Rush Duels in the West outside of the Switch.
So basically they merged Vanguard and Pokémon together using their cards.

I love this. The cards are flashy and easier to read, tribute summon sounds fun as hell in this, the Maximum Summon mechanic is flavourful and anime-y enough, ritual and fusion summons can work better in this format.
I'm into this way more than I should have.
yuga is a prophet lmao
He's card game Jesus
A MESAIA XD
As someone who liked YGO as a kid but is coming back to it slightly: I find the new designs way simpler to understand and use than the old one, however iconic the latter may be. Just the level star merge makes it way easier to use; counting the pips on an Egyptian God (for example) was annoying as someone just starting out. I hope they continue to use it in the future!
At one point, Yugioh does not seem to be catered to kids anymore given its complexity. This new format is not really my cup of tea. But I get why it's made.
I’m STILL waiting for Rush Duel to come to the states. So far the closest thing we got is that Nintendo Switch game
Watching this after Duel links announcement
0:38 - 0:46 Wow that was like a 10 megaton bomb of meta.
Man: Hey kid wanna play yugioh
Kid: yea
Kid normal summons and tribute summons in one turn
Man: 😅
I remember getting into Yu-Gi-Oh! when I was younger roughly 2007. I would phase in and out of playing. The last time I bought a pack was when Pendulums came out. I deal with memory issues so I would forget the effects and such. The longer the effects became I got anxiety. With this new format I can get back into it! I'm working on a TCG of my own that's a bit easier.
Life Cycle of a Duelist:
Rush Duel: Child
Speed Duel: Teen
Master Duel: Adult
True Fact
Your technically and logically right about that.
And at the "Adult" part it becomes to rigid to be fun
_"The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent;_
_the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult;_
_the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise."_
*-Alden Nowlen*
It sounds perfect. When i was still a child, everything were fun and simple, being an adult means everything that’s complicated being thrown to you.
This video becoming relevant due to duel links adding Sevens to the game, including rush duels
"You can draw until you have 5 cards on your hand and there is no hand limit"
Exodia Players: It's free real estate!
If I wanted to play a game where my opponent can draw a bunch of cards then spam the field with Monsters I can stick with Master Duel.
That Legend mechanic is straight up stolen from Magic. 😂
At first I was like WTF, but actually, I don't hate it. Would certainly do better internationally than Speed Duels due to the Anime.
I love how Rush Duel cards look The master duel cards look kinda outdated
I’d probably just stick to the current master rules. The complexity is what makes it appealing to me
A yugioh reboot with the card designs of rush duels would have been great, the whole requirement/effect in the text would have brought in a bunch of players who were intimidated by the long af card text that a lot of cards have.
This way the old card designs would still be usable and keep their value
6:48
I don't even want any extra deck monsters to spoil Se7ens as a show.
Although I wouldn't mind ritual
Technically it's written "5eVen2" which makes even less sense
Yea, it would be cool if they add Ritual summoning
since for now i can't see any extra monster for now... ritual would be great
The condensed level is the only thing I like about it. God I can’t tell you how much time I’ve wasted counting then recounting star levels.
Man that was so easy to learn. Looks like I can finally get back into YuGiOh
Watching this before Rush Duels are added to Duel Links, what a godsend lol
as a og yugioh player i think this is good for the younger gen but the rule u can play as many monsters is a bit fucked up ngl like what are limits any more
When you said an oversimplified version of dueling in your most recent video about the Go Rush series, I had no idea that it was -this- simple.
I really like how the rush duels cards look tbh, they're a looot easier to read, i kinda wish they could make the regular cards look like that it would be great for overall accessibility
I'd switch to rush duels but the master rules are still a lot more fun imo
My first exposure to Rush Duels was with the Switch game
This is somehow the exact same as my playground ruleset.
ya know at first i didn't really like thought of rush dueling cuz i didn't understand it but when u said summon as much monster as u want i immediately went oo childhood memories yes
The new anime looks like trash, but these rules for rush duels are actually really good. Definitely a positive step forward for the game instead of a new summoning mechanic that Everyone will abuse somehow
@@Raidraptor_-_Ultimate_Falcon it is trash.
Maybe first 10 ep they want to introduce the rule to new people the after that they will go to main story?
I love Regular Yugioh but rush duel looks awesome and refreshing honestly. Could be a fun casual thing.
[Summary]
The yu-gi-oh trading card game has finally reverted to a NORMAL CARD GAME.
something you can just pick up and play with a random stranger causes the rules are so easy to understand,
and people can just play for fun while still having room for being competitive if one wants it to be so.
but won't have MASSIVE segregation from casual to competitive player just like MTG(at the at most isn't as bad as yugioh master rule)
@NeoSDgod I don't believe that last statement about Magic The Gathering. In MTG a separation of Cas player to Comp player is the same for all strategy based card games. That's just how it works
Hehahaha yeah MTG toooootally doesn't have a massive gulf, frankly MTG's gulf looks far larger then YGOs to me
rush duels is literally just gen 1/2 yugioh with a few differences. honestly im all for it
i feel like im gonna enjoy this better as a non competetive board game. like having 4 comander decks (magic the gathering) built to play against each other.
A few issues here
1. We know (albeit by an undisclosed source) that sevens is being dubbed after vrains this means it's likely see Rush in the TCG
2. We also know that rush has been internationally trademarked another give away that it'll eventually come to other regions
3. Every game has a meta
Even rush duel Even speed duel
There has always been and will always be a meta
Speed Duel biggest problem is the lack of product being added into the game.
I hope this format blows up in popularity. While I never played competitive, I quit following around the time 5Ds premiered with Synchros: this would definitely made for an app game like Duel Links & its easy to learn.
