"I could bring one of those mini stoves ... I've never actually done that" but you know someone who has, LOL. I've also got a Lowpro Flipside (mine is the 500) and I fully agree it's a great bag for just camera gear. My go to bag for outdoors photography is the Shimoda Action X50 as it also has the roll top compartment for food, Jetboil, waterproof's, first aid kit, etc.
Another informative video in the bag Huw, always worth knowing what the most practical and useful bags are, especially when doing 'exploring' photography, I'm totally with you on the food and drink element, sustenance is vital when out and about for long periods.
Cheers Roger. I’ll be honest until I set out on all day trips I didn’t realise how important the food and drink element was, and I’m chuffed that I found a solution within my budget that solved it. You can spend what feels like a fortune on this accessory if you choose. Fortunately a bit of shopping around and research came up trumps.
Very informative! I'm actualy interested in that vanguard... I had the exact same low pro bag the 400aw but the bottom stitches got very bad. At one point it looked like the lenses could just fall out if it would tear open a little more so I ditched it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Grt guido
Thanks Guido. I’ve found the Vanguard to be an excellent solution. Sure I wish it had more conventional side pockets, and I wish there was a dedicated space for the rain cover etc etc but there are always going to be “I wish”s with every bag out there. For reference this bag is about £200 UK at the moment if you shop around. Thanks for the comment and support of my channel.
