#31, I have a few PvP emote stories I hold close to my heart. Once, some guy started playing patty-cake with me. It was so nice…until my teammate domed the enemy. Then there was the time I was in an Iron Banner match with my friend. We were the only two ppl on the team, so we just caramelldansen’d at each other. The other team, with 5, took notice, and soon swarmed us-not with guns, bullets, or bombs, but with sweet dance moves and a few hugs. By the times our teams were filled out, we had 5 minutes left in the match, and there was a guy on the other side who just murked us all with an Eager Edge Other Half. But that entire match felt a lot more laid-back and chill than any other Iron Banner match I’ve been a part of in recent memory. In fact, it was one of the best PvP matches I’ve ever partaken in, ever.
@@MasterRyuuji I'll generally do it, but I give 3 strikes. I'll rez you after 2 STUPID mistakes (WTH are you up there?), but the third time, I'm leaving you.
Hmmm I just deleted those gloves - finally. It is time to break with tradition - a new shape is coming. My best experience in the tower is setting up a fishing emote off the edge before server maintenance for a season upgrade and encouraging a mass fishing event. I promptly screen shotted and shared for 'forever proof.'
My original raid group was so unselfish with our raid banners it was basically a race to put your down first 😂 soooooooo many double banners....and even a quad banner. Never gonna forget that one lmao
Fun fact with Rule 33: First time going through GoS, I didn't pay attention to the portal all the way at the end and saw the pit portal first. I actually jumped into THAT one and got confused for a minute trying to figure out where I was.
I frequently have occasion to set the team to go to the tower, and then get up and go do whatever kids or cats need while we fly in. My wife started randomly walking me over to various vendors, so I'd come back and sometimes be standing in front of Shaxx, Zavala, the Post office, etc. .... for like 2 years I thought it was a thing the game did, and you could load into the tower in front of vendors randomly.
I know it's an ad but those books seem fantastic, I listen on audible daily while I'm at work, anyone who likes books and listening to music at work should take a chance with audible, it do be a bit pricey tho
Not to long ago I actually did rule number 2 and got the new light their first Heroic Public Event as well as getting them region chests for bonus loot and he friended me for it and then we had a little dance session but then he left but at least it was a win, win for the both of us. :)
bro i got soo pissed today on onslaught. i had a hunter tangle build, whenever i got a tangle a warlock kept stealing them. but i can confirm all of these are strict rules and i follow most of them without even knowing them
I was in onslaught yesterday and my team kept jumping in front of me during damage and I kept blowing myself up, and the other teammate kept putting his bubble over my well of radiance
Whenever that happens to me, I call them a knucklehead in team chat and they usually stop lol If they don't though, then I just stop reviving them and don't give them commendations because they certainly don't deserve it
Might be me when on console. Have revive on L2 for aiming and reviving at the same time, but you fucking can't put revive, pick up or any other kind of these actions to different buttons, so i accidently pick them up just while shooting
My friend and I were playing D1 and did a raid with some solid peeps from a LFG. When we finished and all headed to the tower, someone noticed how ridiculously stupid my buddy’s gear set + colors looked, which none of us noticed until they mentioned it. We proceeded to make all of our characters look as stupid as possible for the next hour or so in the tower and we were pretty much all in tears laughing. Was to this day one of my favorite times playing Destiny!
I LOVE NEWLIGHTS, if I find one in van ops, I stick with them til they fly free, always making sure they're the first to any objectives. They're so adorable!!!
Coming in early on the video to say that the "joining in on shenanigans in the tower" is such a true thing. I once started crouching near a Titan, then I just...proceeded to sit down. You know, to check me phone use the restroom. When I got back there were 4 other players sitting there chilling with me as well as that initial Titan. We were just taking in the sights and hanging out. The community can be cool sometimes.
This game pvp is fucked up now, d2 is a weird game like people are so friendly in pve but when it comes to pvp they are so toxic, may be they take pvp to their ego
More rules! - Twilight Arsenal axes are an exception. Any teammate can take them - In Gambit, if someone's invading and getting kills, do NOT invade. They're probably using a build to invade.
I just started playing Destiny 2 around 2 months ago and i've fallen in love. I've already bought all of the dlcs and final shape! this was super helpful thanks a lot :)
I'm that speedrunner in Vanguard ops. Yes, I know, but I will revive you if it doesn't require me to backtrack. If I can get to you with one swipe with eager edge, I'll revive you. I'll also revive anyone immediately when they go down when we're fighting together.
? That's where it should go. It's an explosive. An incredibly strong one too. You benefit from it going up and exploding in choke points. Your half second of not spamming Calus Mini Tool is worth the explosion. Forbearance will also chain detonate it for even more blast. Headstone means it'll show up there regardless, your teammate gets no say, and Stasis players can 1 tap it to get back grenade energy for more turrets, so it's ideal to leave it alone for your teammate to break it, but if it's still there after a few seconds (longer than a reload), go nuts. An artifact this season will spawn them periodically, so your stasis player may not know it's there.
@@CrunchyMaggots I agree with that most of the time. My team has gotten over run by adds because a guy would put up the wall [too far from ads] & block our fire.

Rule 54.1: There is an exception if you have to farm puplic events but heroic events are slower. So if you trigger heroic you are an... for example the armor when the special event starts in the summer where you can upgrade green armor to blue, legendary etc. Rule 28.1: Skip the jumping puzzle and pull your team mates, does not matter if they get there 4 spoilers (specially if it was written in the lfg post NO CHEST) Rule 22.1: Just cheese if it´s faster, not if it´s slower! Rule 22.2: Teach the newbies speedrun strats if you can, they will shine bright in other teams if they know :) Rule 22.2.: Convince them to watch speedruns strats for literally anything and learn them to get a better player and eventually a great speedrunner Rule 11.1: As long they don´t care for chest you can speedrun it, just let them know what speedrun strats you are planning to do like a skip so they are ready to do a encounter 5man or sth. Rule 8.1: Teach them that the secret chest is useless and just 4 spoils. If you skip and pull you can save so much time that they actually could farm more than just 4 spoils in that extra time Rule 7.1: NEVER EVER place a rally banner if perma banner is possible and you don´t know how to place a perma banner (so it lasts even after the encounter has started)
It's the number one compariosn my readers and listeners make. In fact, on Audilble, my book is one of the top 'most linked' books to Eragon. And it's all genuine on my half. Grew up with it, inspired by it, now trying out my own dragon rider epic. Similar tone, very different world and story!
I thought that everytime you level up you throw yourself off the ledge? I'm a new player and seen this a couple of time's, so obviously i follow suite when i level up i jump off the balcony. But I've never seen anyone group round a guardian when they level up, maybe because there are so many new players like myself i and them didn't know this. Also I'm terrible at the jumping mechanics, but amazed and grateful that so far nobody has got annoyed with me, and often shoot where there's a better place too jump. So far this game seems to have a really cool community, i often bump into a high level player and he/she will give me a emote, then i respond with an emote. For me this gives the game a feeling of family, we all know at first certain things are hard, and it seems alot of the OG gardians are very supportive of new player's. Used to be like this in division 2, but now its not so much, still has a firm fan base but nothing like destiny has imo, so glad i started to play this game again, at first wasn't too much into fantasy games, now i think they are actually the best, especially the community who love the Lore. I stop at every part to listen to the story, so i understand what I'm here for.
Revisit: I would add one rule. Do not kick people with extremely high stats from your or talk down to them before you see what they can do because they have weapons or a setup YOU think would not work. They might very well carry your team and put you all to shame with damage done to the boss with that sidearm for a PRIMARY, and you would have just lost out on an easy run.🤟😼
One Unwritten Rule is When someone dies in a Raid/dungeon for the first time, your obligated to Say ‘There Goes Flawless’ Even if your Not going for flawless
I stopped back in the middle of shadow keep, but I'm back after almost 5 years. The game is very different now, but so am I. I'm actually glad to be back after so long!
@@DrewtendoI’m right there with you. Last time I played, Leviathan was the only raid. I’ve been back in for about 2 weeks now, learning/relearning basically everything
Some amendments. 59- if you see a diamond lance, use that thing every time. There will be more. 40- don't join solo dungeons or lost sectors. everything else, open fireteam is an open invite. Friendgame is real. 14- It is also your responsibility as a titan to pass our hammer when you see another titan throwing one. They don't have to go get it if you gave them one. 3- Check your blues. I now have two infusible blues. I am grinding world drops on Neomuna and Throneworld until I get the full set. If you want the Unwritten Raid Rules that are the mechanics for every raid encounter ever just ask!
As a player of destiny since D1 beta, i love this video, so many rule come from the first game that people just carried over and its so funny to still see these days
0:25 to add to this, if the big traveller shaped baloon ball spawns in whan your in the tower, you must keep it airborn until you can pass it off to another player 😏
One you forgot - if your team mate pops tether whilst wearing Orpheus rigs dont kill everything before it gets tethered and can generate orbs for the whole team
As a broodweaver main, I entirely endorse the “didn’t make, don’t take” phrase With me it’s fine so long as you tell me, I’ll just weavewalk if it’s up

#60: With how many different weapons in the current meta are B&S based explosives, or stuff like Nighthawk being present in basically every raid DPS. Its important to keep this in mind. If you need to be able to move for hunters reload dodge similar, position yourself so your dodge will not cause any disruption. Even if you don't block someone directly, have had a friend dodge into someone who pushed them to the side that caused someone else to smack them in the back of the head with a rocket. Additionally With this, rally barricade may be very helpful, but remember to drop it facing away from the DPS angle, even if its only waist height, it can still cause issues. #46: Even if you don't have your "exact loadout" ready. Try to bring the weapons you will be using. For stuff like a normal raid or Nightfall, its not item locked so you can always swap weapons around if need be. Keep in mind stuff for stunning champions, since especially with completely random matchmaking, at times no one will run the exact stunning weapon by default and the others will be thankful if you are the one who is willing to swap. #39: If the encounter allows you to move away from the banner slight without starting the encounter, do that after you rally. Its a nice way of signifying readiness without having to write in chat or saying anything. And whoever is in charge of starting the encounter or is in charge of the team will generally (silently) thank you. Though additionally, especially if its something you've never done before, wait for an explanation to finish before rallying. Speak from experience with this, were I've rallied to the wrong type of heavy weapon and went into last fights without full heavy ammo. The damage will be noticeable. #34: Some supers should be help onto a bit more often then others, such as Well of Radiance, since their use can be a full on game changer. But, as long as everyone is running orb generation and there is enough ad density there shouldn't be much issue using your supers quite often. I can't even count how many times a roaming super has been able to make an annoying section of a nightfall into basically a cakewalk. #28: Bonus point for turning up your in game music for this exact section. Many players (myself included) really enjoy both the jumping puzzle and the background music of this part. It also gives a good time for people to take a small break if need be, just make sure the entire raid team knows you have gone AFK for a few minutes. So you can still get a chance at the chest if you need it. #14: Its your hammer, you need to pick it back up. We may be god killing beings, but that doesn't mean we should be allowed to litter. (Jokes aside, the throwing hammer will save your life in more instances then you ever may expect. Treat it with some respect and it will seemingly fly more true)
Yes on "if you didn't make it don't take it", ive got a couple beyblade builds and a verglas build and it sucks when people steal my tangles or shatter my crystals before i can 😭
Are your crystals blocking an entire lane in a mode where everyone is just trying to get kills for bounties? I respect the tangles, but Verglas can admittedly be a bit much sometimes.
That don't take rule gets broken every TIME and it PISSES ME OFF the worse part is, it ain't even new players doing this. It's litteraly the ones with rank 6 or above. JUST PLEASE FOR EVERYONES SAKE, *STOP TAKING THINGS YOU DIDN'T MAKE*
The "stick around to help the players that helped you" hits so hard... i have a long-time friend who will literally whine until someone helps him, and then he just dips as soon as he gets his loot. He's the same kind of guy that "the game sucks" if he sucks at the game.
If someone is annoying in any kind of match and they are running to revive me, I will be spamming the hell out of the respawn button so I don't get infected by the plague they are.
I've always played this game alone from D1, and sadly, I've never been able to know her rules even though I already suspected some of them, thank you for enlightening me 😮
1:55 You definitely should pick up your teammates transmutation spheres, the point of the gun is that your teammates love picking stuff up so hopefully they do that and dunk the sphere on a boss, pretty nicely increasing your DPS
The bonus loot chests in raids used to de-spawn after a certain amount of time, hence the tradition of waiting for everyone to be at the chest to open it. Also if everyone is at the chest they can´t accidentally pull the players to the next area :)
In my 10 thousand hours of destiny I have lost it in me to even have fun but this reminded me to have fun even when it's a little frustrating and annoying just have fun after all we love and cherish this company called Bungie
I've recently come back to the game after I think two or three years. Not being revived, running in front of you and taking the motes, even when you only need a couple. Also having someone kill everything and not bothering to pick anything up so they all disappear. I try and be respectful as possible and treat people the way that I want to be treated but I noticed that it's still the same from when I played before. Hopefully soon I'll experience some nice players. 🎉

as the finicky twitchy hunter of my group, jumping up and around all over the place stabbing stuff, being bright and noticeable is VEEERRYY useful. helps me guide everyone while i run ahead into danger for them and take shots, find cover and show where it is, make sure im not mistaken for another taken yknow?
i've been in vangaurd missions before and i fr mistook two of my rando teammates for enemies and tossed a grenade at them cause they blended in with the chaos 😭😭wear bright colors yall PLEASE
Rule 62 is straight up a lie, 70% of the activities I play people don't revive
sometimes theres a good reason for that
@@CarriesOnTopmy thing is, if they don’t revive me, I don’t revive them. It’s simple
@@MasterRyuuji I'll generally do it, but I give 3 strikes. I'll rez you after 2 STUPID mistakes (WTH are you up there?), but the third time, I'm leaving you.

How about the unwritten rule of punching back at your teammate when they punch you, personally this is my favorite.
bro broke rule 28 dont speak during deep stone lullaby to explain the rule
"After all, this game is about becoming legend, not becoming a liability." That one had me dying lol 🤣
Only titans using Sweet Business made me bust out laughing. So true. Lol
The songs of Chaos ad read actually got me. I never see book ads on RUclips. Gonna read that now
awesome, thanks for checking it out
I just started about week ago and this is extremely helpful and improved my gaming experience immediately thank you!
Great to hear!
These rules are fake. Don't listen to this guy. No one but him and his bots supports this trash. Just play the game and have fun.
Thank you! Hope you check the series out and enjoy it!
Not to long ago I actually did rule number 2 and got the new light their first Heroic Public Event as well as getting them region chests for bonus loot and he friended me for it and then we had a little dance session but then he left but at least it was a win, win for the both of us. :)
it is unbelievable how much I related to damn near this whole list
I love going to the cosmodrome and using the varying different types of skating to absolutely mind-boggle the new lights.
New lights Reporting you as a cheater 😂
‘To avoid having your annoying stasis walls shot, don’t use them’ - everyone else
"Protect new lights at all costs" - That gave me goosebumps, good call.
bro i got soo pissed today on onslaught. i had a hunter tangle build, whenever i got a tangle a warlock kept stealing them. but i can confirm all of these are strict rules and i follow most of them without even knowing them
Not that guy in particular but I have had games where im trying to pick up batteries and getting tangles by mistake 😢
I was in onslaught yesterday and my team kept jumping in front of me during damage and I kept blowing myself up, and the other teammate kept putting his bubble over my well of radiance
Whenever that happens to me, I call them a knucklehead in team chat and they usually stop lol
If they don't though, then I just stop reviving them and don't give them commendations because they certainly don't deserve it
Sorry bro... That was me
Might be me when on console. Have revive on L2 for aiming and reviving at the same time, but you fucking can't put revive, pick up or any other kind of these actions to different buttons, so i accidently pick them up just while shooting
I'm honored that my Gambit invasion clip was used to illustrate Rule #23. Thanks! Always enjoy your videos.

@@Michael_R_Miller I actually am looking into buying them. The blind dragon schtick is such a an interesting dynamic.
@@SparkyQQz Well I hope you enjoy them!! If you do please find me on the internet and let me know :D
I LOVE NEWLIGHTS, if I find one in van ops, I stick with them til they fly free, always making sure they're the first to any objectives. They're so adorable!!!
Another disgustingly poor designed flaw of this game that completely ruins the point of the game, as well: "Content Removal".
21 feels like it was added for personal reasons
Rules are meant to be broken…
More rules!
- Twilight Arsenal axes are an exception. Any teammate can take them
- In Gambit, if someone's invading and getting kills, do NOT invade. They're probably using a build to invade.
unwritten rules? more like reddit's wishlist
I just started playing Destiny 2 around 2 months ago and i've fallen in love. I've already bought all of the dlcs and final shape! this was super helpful thanks a lot :)
In regards to the revive thing, if they don't pick me up, I ain't picking them up. 😤
I'm that speedrunner in Vanguard ops. Yes, I know, but I will revive you if it doesn't require me to backtrack. If I can get to you with one swipe with eager edge, I'll revive you. I'll also revive anyone immediately when they go down when we're fighting together.
Its really fun to go to the cosmodrome and wellskate Infront of new lights
haha
Don't put your Stasis crystal in the line of fire, especially when your team has created a choke point
I’m a free to play destiny 2 player because I don’t wanna spend money on a game that might not be worth it
So far this game is pretty cool but I don’t plan on spending money on this game unless I’m gonna buy the final shape which is apparently the story of destiny 2
What's rule 34 for Destiny 2?
Mara Sov's feet pics
Rule 54.1: There is an exception if you have to farm puplic events but heroic events are slower. So if you trigger heroic you are an... for example the armor when the special event starts in the summer where you can upgrade green armor to blue, legendary etc.
Rule 28.1: Skip the jumping puzzle and pull your team mates, does not matter if they get there 4 spoilers (specially if it was written in the lfg post NO CHEST)
Rule 22.1: Just cheese if it´s faster, not if it´s slower!
Rule 22.2: Teach the newbies speedrun strats if you can, they will shine bright in other teams if they know :)
Rule 22.2.: Convince them to watch speedruns strats for literally anything and learn them to get a better player and eventually a great speedrunner
Rule 11.1: As long they don´t care for chest you can speedrun it, just let them know what speedrun strats you are planning to do like a skip so they are ready to do a encounter 5man or sth.
Rule 8.1: Teach them that the secret chest is useless and just 4 spoils. If you skip and pull you can save so much time that they actually could farm more than just 4 spoils in that extra time
Rule 7.1: NEVER EVER place a rally banner if perma banner is possible and you don´t know how to place a perma banner (so it lasts even after the encounter has started)
First! Love the uploads
rarely ever have comments for the sponsor, but thats BIG talk comparing it to the Inheritance Cycle
First time I find a sponsor actually intriguing, will check it out I just finished the Night Angel and needed something to dive into !
Watched this to not do any of them

The first hug emote i was appart of brought me joy i never thought i would get while playing destiny.
I’m not doing social actions at the tower cringe af
You just roasted the shit out of this guy
I will always remember that player that gave me a hug. My teammates were being PITA and I was really flustered being a new player.
A little late to the party, but I can confirm the Songs of Chaos books are VERY good! Awesome sponsorship
One Unwritten Rule is When someone dies in a Raid/dungeon for the first time, your obligated to Say ‘There Goes Flawless’ Even if your Not going for flawless
haha that is true
I actually held out for a few months when I "quit Destiny forever." Then the Final Shape dropped...
I wish everybody would follow this etiquette.
Edit: D1 beta vet;)
I actually needed a new book to read, thank you
perfect!
Thanks for diving in! Hope you love it
I love how so many of these rules I do with knowing thinking it’s normal like unleashing everything after getting my loot or even before it
1:20 maybe JUST maybe be aware of you surroundings and LOOK before you shoot the rocket
Whenever I’m teaching grasp I always say you gotta open both doors at the same time. Works every time
4:15 i dont have many raid banners or anything like that i just always place it so the others dont have to worry about it
“if you didnt make it, dont take it” good life advice right there
I'm taking everything including ur soul
As a player of destiny since D1 beta, i love this video, so many rule come from the first game that people just carried over and its so funny to still see these days
0:25 to add to this, if the big traveller shaped baloon ball spawns in whan your in the tower, you must keep it airborn until you can pass it off to another player 😏
One you forgot - if your team mate pops tether whilst wearing Orpheus rigs dont kill everything before it gets tethered and can generate orbs for the whole team
As a broodweaver main, I entirely endorse the “didn’t make, don’t take” phrase
With me it’s fine so long as you tell me, I’ll just weavewalk if it’s up
All these destiny 2 videos make me want to play again. I haven’t touched the game in over 6 years and I’m woefully unfamiliar with all the new stuff I see.
Did you? If not you should 😊
@@laurenthomson4575 I did but the learning curve was super steep and almost put me off the game. But my biggest heart brake came when I realized all my farmed gear was gone permanently as I didn’t know about the sever swap. Lost 100s of hours of grinding and gear.
@@nosniboR_naIthat is some BS. I'd likely be p*ssed for several years. My kid deleted my nearly 100% progress in Just Cause 3 and it took me 3 years to start again 😕
That don't take rule gets broken every TIME
and it PISSES ME OFF
the worse part is, it ain't even new players doing this.
"Rule 28: don't interrupt Deep Stone Lullaby." Proceeds to interrupt it XD
If someone is annoying in any kind of match and they are running to revive me, I will be spamming the hell out of the respawn button so I don't get infected by the plague they are.
I’m glad I’m not the only one enforcing rule 28. That music is too good to be ruined by banter.
I've always played this game alone from D1, and sadly, I've never been able to know her rules even though I already suspected some of them, thank you for enlightening me 😮
2:16 Stasis crystals and strand orbs all will detonate a Hunter’s tether, so eff them crystals and balls! 🖕🏿
5:24 combine with the floor is lava buff for a even better jump
1:55
You definitely should pick up your teammates transmutation spheres, the point of the gun is that your teammates love picking stuff up so hopefully they do that and dunk the sphere on a boss, pretty nicely increasing your DPS
One of my fav things to do in destiny is go to the cosmodrome and chill with the new lights so im glad that's on there.
The bonus loot chests in raids used to de-spawn after a certain amount of time, hence the tradition of waiting for everyone to be at the chest to open it. Also if everyone is at the chest they can´t accidentally pull the players to the next area :)
Just commented this before I saw yours! Glad some people remember.
on rule 33 you forgot to mention warlords ruin. always let the new guy walk ahead through the tunnels after first boss
That “Guy” Don Corleone had me howling!
