- This video show how to install a Moen posi temp valve. This is a Moen 1/2 Inch PEX Posi-Temp Pressure Balancing Rough-In Valve. I will solder 2 fittings onto the moen posi temp valve for the shower arm and the copper tub spout. I will be using 1/2 inch Cinch clamp pex fittings. A copper tub spout and a pex adapter for the shower arm/spout. This video will cover everything from prepping the valve to installing the valve and replacing the current copper with pex. I will also show how to install the moen posi temp cartridge.

Great! Thank you. I was wondering what exactly needed to be done to install the cartridge. I had watched other videos, but had not seen how to do this. This is an important step and I did not know about pushing the cartridge in at the back nor about adjusting the position of the cartridge at the front to ensure that it is off. Thanks again!
Would be helpful to describe the methodology/measurement for setting the depth of the new valve. How do you account for backer board, thin set and new tile so that end of cartridge and finish wall trim plates all come out the way they should…neither too far in or too far out. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. I have removed the music in my newer videos. Unfortunately there isn't a good way to do that on existing videos.

Kill the obnoxious music ( we’re not at a concert) and it would be good instruction. Try and remember, not everyone likes the same music and if you love rock but someone uses polka music in their video, well…. you get the idea.
