Quick and Easy Method to Replace the Thermostat on an Electric Water Heater
Another video with you just do that and you just do this… no help
So I need to be more descriptive of what I am doing. I do appreciate the feedback. It helps me as I to make better content in the future.
I just finished installing 6 of these in my living room. Created a big mess, took me 8 hours under similar circumstances, but all worth it the end. I didn’t have to give up my mortgage payment to an electrician!! I love my tools 🧰
😂
Thanks i just helped a family that was going to spend atleast 2 days before a repair man could get to them . 19 degrees here . Thanks to your video they now have heat.

Glad it helped. I appreciate the feedback.
Thank you... Just saved me.... My drain was plugged, as soon as I unplugged the hoses, the furnace lite.... woohoooo
I am glad it helped
@HomeRepairHub ... Well, it worked the very first time, but didn't relight after it shut off... it's doing the same thing again.. so I'm lost, trying to figure out the low pressure switches ... Lennox elite... G61MP
Can you prefill then use mesh tape?…or does it have to be paper?
You can find connecting the both adapters together and connecting the transmitter before screwing into light socket, the longer length helps.
what about the goboard to ceiling transition?
Thank you.
I added L beam on top. L beam 5 or 6 ft long. It work great. No problem over 25 years
BIN is the best
This is a waste of time & money. Get a piece of scrap drywall and learn how to do a hot patch. Square off the hole, cut a piece of drywall to fit the hole but leave an inch or 2 of the paper wider than the hole and mud it.
What does square off the hole mean
You're doing a fantastic job! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
You are the goat my friend
Cant see anything
do you have contact infomation for questions not addressed here?
Can’t get that metal collar thing off. Used clr and wd40
Take a heat gun and try heating it up. It may melt the plastic pieces, so be prepared with new parts.
I installed this but i can't get the white plastic pieces to sit correctly. Is there something I'm missing?
I have the same problem. I'm trying to install on a 1999 Moen valve stem. The white plastic pieces do not go in far enough to seat over the valve stem.
I attempted to do this and the tape on the foldable panel got some dust on it and doesn't stick. I will try some glue or stronger tape.
Ya, put some double sided tape, or something like that
No kidding about other videos showing the ease of taking out the old cartridge. I had to pull it out with pliers and thought I was going to bust the pipes. New one didn't go in easy either, had to grease it up and put a mallet to it.
A couple things you can try for future reference. Open a valve near by to hopefully relieve some of the suction created when turning off the water. The other option isn't the safest and could damage your shower, so I don't recommend it.
Thanks very clear ! BTW can this be used on door jambs too?
Very helpful!
Unless you’re cartridge is brand new it will not be this easy! Spent days
Thank you!You help me save money.
Isn't the whole point after attaching the hinge, is showing how the door shuts on its own? I want to see if the hinge actually works...
Great video of arm position while doing the job. Cant see much...LOL
Everyone is full of advice including me a heat gun is much better and if using torch keep as far away as possible
thanks
From 2025! Thank u, but I'm still scarredd imma hit something else, lol. 😅
I used the third option, actually mine had a flat head screw, came right out! Thank You!!
Just because a video is on the internet doesn't mean the person who posted it knows what they're doing. So many red flags. First of all, that corner miter....I can't imagine someone cutting that, setting it in place, seeing that humongous gap and then still going ahead with nailing it. Or even making that cut in the first place. That's not someone you should look to for advice. Second, the "you want silicone caulk, not like window caulk". Have you ever installed a window? What are you using other than a good 100% silicone caulk like OSI Quad Max that has both the stretch you need for thermal expansion/contraction and the superior water resistance? Acrylic based? Yikes. And the time to put down a bead of caulk against the shower threshold is as you lay the flooring. Run a bead in the corner, put in your first row, push it up tight against the threshold, and that squeeze out is where you're getting a good seal. Repeat for the next row. Now think about how that strip was applied. First of all, that schmeer job on the threshold looks bad on day one. If you're not skilled with a caulk gun, before you apply it run that painters tape on the threshold horizontal to the floor, so you get a nice clean edge instead of a schmeer. Imagine when that gets a little discolored how bad that is going to look. And what about underneath the trim strip? So you have no water tight membrane, no caulk between flooring and the shower threshold, and no caulking under the trim piece you just stuck in place. In what is possibly THE most likely place in your whole house where you're going to have water. So what is preventing that water from seeping under that trim, in between the threshold and the flooring, down under your LVT, and onto your plywood subflooring, where it's going to wick in the wood. And then is going to stay wet, because the LVT is keeping it from getting air. That's a tear out/redo just waiting to happen.
Great video, thank you!
my pan is 34 I want to carry the go board out to 36 thus no transition in the tile line. I would then but my drywall to the go board and smooth with mud Giving me a mold proof edge for any splashing. Hope i made that clear but if im wrong in this type of install let me know
I would've done the pull incorrectly not for this video. Thanks!
The durabond is way better than the easy sand.
Good to know. I appreciate the feedback
I have a GFI plug that trips and won’t reset. I want to troubleshoot it but need to find the breaker it’s on so I don’t get electrocuted. Will this work if the plug is tripped/dead?
Terrific helpful video! Clear and to the point. Much appreciated!
Thank you !!! We’re having freezing rain in S Illinois
Got a door that is 29 3/4th what size door do i need? 30 or 28?
Rough opening for the door is 29 3/4, or the door you are taking out is 29 3/4? If the rough opening (studs/2x4's around the door, before you put in the pre-hung door in) is 29 3/4 then you need a 28in pre-hung door. If you haven't removed the door, trim, or frame around the door yet and the actual door is 29 3/4, then you want a 30in door.
Thank you sir@@HomeRepairHub
OK, so the one I have has the clear ball handle on it. So should I assume the rest of it is the same as you've shown ? Also I don't have a blow torch, can a lighter work ?
Yes the internal guts should be the same. No a lighter will not work it does not produce hot enough flame. People have reported that boiling water poured slowly in a tea pot works to release the nut. Good luck!
A heat gun will work.
I wouldn't let this fool open my garage door terrible video
Thank you, sir. You just saved my marriage.😂
whoever miter those baseboard need to take to the backyard
Thank you Sir. Cheers!
None of the above. No reset button. No switch. Breaker not tripped. It’s only in the living room. Any advice would be extremely helpful so I don’t have to call an electrician…
Sounds like the same problem I had. Check to make sure the wires going to the outlet isn't loose, also check that the wires going to the associated breaker are tight. If all is tight you may want to call an electrician because there maybe some splicing of the wires in the walls or attic that are loose. Also old wire will do this from breaking down from use or age. Something else to check, try flipping the breaker for the outlet off then back on. If it works after that you'll have to replace the breaker. The contacts can go bad not trip and still not send power. Hope that helps
Straight forward install good guidance, the only few things I would add before the frame went in, would be dpc all around to protect the wood frame with lapping rules applied, and edge fixing only to the doc so there's no chance of water ingress, second is to mask the window frame beforehand to protect from damage, foam expansion etc, one more thing is to use something like a wood paint stir stick to pry off of when removing the old wood trim, so you don't damage the dry wall.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback.
Thanks for the video. Do you have another video to keep the stopper up? Mine won't stay up and it drains very slowly. I have the same type of plug as the one showing. Thanks again.
This video was posted a year ago. Since then, this should have had thousands of thumbs up hits, not just 233 from the time of this post. This video just saved my day, THANK YOU!!!
Wood glue and polyurethane works as good…
